Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23
Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. 1 John 3:24
To fully understand the nature of the Kingdom of the Lord God, we must first understand the reason for the King’s Son coming to this earth. First, He loved the people of this earth so much that He voluntarily limited Himself in significant ways in order to restore them to the Kingdom. Do you recall what King Jesus said concerning His Father? For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17
Love is the nature of the Father and His Son. Keep in mind that the Lord Jesus is the perfect representation of the Lord God in human form. So the Word became human and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14 NLT
God’s Son came to show us what the Lord God is like and to take away our fear of Him; enabling us to call Him, not only our King, but also our Father because we have been born again and His Spirit lives within us. Do you recall what the Lord Jesus stated to Nicodemus? Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:5-8
Please note, the Holy Spirit—our Governor—could only come upon people in the Old Testament times to do the work of the Kingdom in certain instances. It was when the Son came to earth, as the man Jesus, that the Governor could now live here on earth within His body; yet the Governor—Holy Spirit—still could not dwell in all humanity. Why? Because the Father’s plan was not yet completed through His Son. The Father’s plan was for the Holy Spirit to be released to mankind, who would receive Him through the provision of the King’s Son Jesus. If you love Me, obey My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:15-17 NLT
The Lord Jesus’ teachings were filled with great truths. Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever]. Matthew 5:3 AMP
He taught that in order to live eternally, one had to die to oneself. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to His cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:24-25 NLT
In order to be strong in Kingdom power, one had to be weak in oneself. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
The Lord Jesus emptied Himself so that we could be filled. He became poor so that we could become rich. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9
He also became like mankind by placing Himself under the restrictions of time and space so that we could be connected to His eternal Kingdom. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
He subjected Himself to the law so He could free those under it. Finally, the Lord Jesus submitted to physical death so that we could have eternal life. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11
This is the Father’s love, demonstrated through His Son. His powerful love for all mankind here on this earth. He sent His Son to restore His Kingdom here and to give mankind entrance into the Kingdom through His Son, Jesus. When Jesus’ assignment here was finished, He then sent the Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—to remind us of all Jesus had taught and all that the Lord God says. We cannot live a Kingdom life without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, who is our Governor. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:13-15
