In the Kingdom government, you are always supposed to be growing in your life, always staying in the Word, where you get your nourishment to grow. We, as citizens, are to listen to wisdom and seek understanding. My child, listen to what I say, and treasure My commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5 NLT When you seek, the Lord God will give it to you. I am a living example! When you accept His Word in your life, you will be filled with His Spirit. That alone makes you a Kingdom citizen. You then are no longer of this world. King Jesus made that very clear: But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your Word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. John 17:13-19
Remember, it is the Word that sanctifies us. This is why I constantly emphasize reading and studying God’s Constitution—meaning, as the world calls it, the Bible. The Lord Jesus made it very clear that if you have the Word living in you, you aren’t of this earthly world. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth. John 17:16-17
In the Kingdom government, the Lord God is the only ultimate authority. The Lord God’s authority as King is inherent—meaning that He cannot be circumvented, it is permanent. No one gives Him authority. He IS all authority. He has authority because of who He is and because He created everything. Even science is a product of His creation. Keep in mind, the government of this planet called earth, get their authority by way of votes or take it by violence and corruption.
Now those of us who are citizens of God’s Kingdom live and walk by faith in His Word. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 Our faith is not in this world’s government or anything the world has to offer. People live in fear because they obey and trust in man and man will always let them down.
When you consistently read and study His Constitution, you will truly understand that even though you live in this world, you are not dependent on it. Your body may be on terra firma, but your spirit stands firmly on the Lord God’s heavenly government! The Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—will lead and guide you in God’s Truth. But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of Truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about Me. John 15:26 NLT Remember, the Spirit of Truth is the Holy Spirit. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:17 NLT The Kingdom government should influence our everyday lives and we should impact this world with our presence. We must be bold catalysts in this world, walking among the citizens of this world. Our presence shows them what life in God’s Kingdom looks like, if we are living under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The citizens of this world should be able to look at Kingdom citizens and see the character of our King!
As I have mentioned in an earlier article, a kingdom is a governing influence of a king over his territory, while impacting it with His personal will, purpose and His intent; while producing a culture, values, morals and lifestyle that reflects the King’s nature and desires for His citizens.
Keep this in mind, religion is what mankind does until they find the Kingdom. Religion prepares mankind to leave earth while the Kingdom empowers mankind to have dominion over the earth. Religion seeks to take earth to heaven. The Kingdom seeks to bring heaven to earth. Religion preoccupies mankind until they find the Kingdom. Religion is reaching to the Lord God. The Kingdom is the Lord God coming down to mankind. Religion focuses on heaven, but the Kingdom impacts, influences and changes the earth with the King’s presence. Religion distracts, while God’s Kingdom focuses and clarifies.
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord God’s Word!
