What is Your Mindset, Compared With the World?

10/28/2017

Picture
"You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had."  The ambassador Paul wrote this in his letter to the believers in the city of Philippi.

When you are of a Kingdom mindset, you don't seek to become famous or even popular.  Your whole purpose is to listen , read and obey.

Keep in mind, King Jesus never set out to become famous or popular.  The ambassador Paul made it very plain in this statement:   Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.  Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.  When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.  So then, why do so many religious leaders, want to be recognized as a great prophet, preacher, teacher, etc?  It's about two things:  their environment and their mindset.  Without the leading of the Governor--the Holy Spirit, your environment (all the things of this world, including the internet, etc), can greatly affect the way you think and view others.  Changing your mindset is a deliberate process, it won't just "happen".  You must first submit to the Holy Spirit's guidance and become obedient to His Word.  I can't emphasize that enough.  Many with a religious mindset, even those who attend a church regularly and claim to love the Lord Jesus, fail to read and be obedient to God's Constitution.  Listen to what ambassador John had to say concerning this:   Love means doing what God has commanded us, and He has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.

Remember, receiving the Holy Spirit is contingent on your obedience to His commands, which is accomplished through your love for Him.   “If you love Me, keep My commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.  I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."

Keep in mind, He will live with you and in you.  The Lord Jesus said that He will be with you forever.  Allow me to add, the Holy Spirit is a He, not an it and not a thing.  It is an extension of the Lord God, One in the trinity, and a gift to those who obey His Word.  We need Him--the Holy Spirit.  When He comes into your life, you will receive power to overcome through the obedience of His guidance.  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

In the natural, when you truly love someone, that love will lead to trusting them.  It is the same with the King.  If you truly love Him, you will totally trust Him and want to obey Him by living by His Word (God's Constitution).  Love breeds trust, you can't have one without the other. “If you love me, obey my commandments."

Those of us with a Kingdom mindset, embrace the Word and all it's precepts.  A world mindset will reject many of those precepts if they are in conflict with that worldview.  Jesus represented that Kingdom mindset when responding to the religious leaders of His day:   Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.  And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

The Kingdom mindset is eternal and unchanging.  It does not change with the culture of the day, because it is based on the eternal Word of God.  But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided (double-minded)  between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

When you embrace the Kingdom, you will develop a Kingdom mindset and will discover that you only have one obligation and that is to the Lord God's Constitution (His Word).

Remember, your greatest, most precious asset is your faith in the King.

Misplaced Priorities and Failure to Obey

10/25/2017

"No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?  Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?  Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?"
These words were spoken by the Lord Jesus to His disciples and those around Him.  The Lord Jesus was revealing a Kingdom perspective.  A Kingdom perspective is one of total trust and confidence in the King and what He decrees.  That total trust means that worry has no power or authority in getting your needs met.  Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?  Trusting in the King is our only solution.  Then the Lord Jesus asked them another question:  “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?"

As I have stated on many occasions, your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord God and specifically in His Son Jesus the Christ.  He is the One who was obedient to His Father's command until the end of His time here on earth.  As faith is your greatest asset, worry and fear are your greatest liability.  You should never allow any situation, trial or problem to override your faith in Him or His Word.  His Word is law and eternal life. Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life."  His Word also cleanses us from all unrighteousness.   How can a young person stay pure?  By obeying your word.  We must be aware of the power in obeying the King's Word.  I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

The Lord Jesus gave us our first priority:  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.  So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.  Before we do anything else, we must first learn how to be obedient to His commands, submit to the guidance of the Governor (Holy Spirit) and learn our priorities.  When you learn to trust in His Word, then and only then will you be free.  Trusting in Him alleviates all fear.  Death will have no consequence in your life.  It will not cause you to fear anything.  Death to the one who lives by the King's Word is a promotion to be where the King resides.  The Lord Jesus made this statement.  When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.  The ambassador Paul stated it this way:  So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. For we live by believing and not by seeing. Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.  Notice that he never said that heaven was his home.

In the United Sates, the focus is on entertainment.  They spend billions to entertain others.   They pay athletes millions every year to play sports. Actors and musicians are paid millions to perform for us and keep us entertained and occupied. And we pay billions to be entertained!  Sadly, this entertainment mindset has spread to the church.   Far too many churches today have become religious entertainment centers.  Even smaller churches try to keep up with the "big guys" with wide screens, "mood" lighting and sound systems to draw in people and keep them entertained so they won't hop on to another church.  All of that sensory-tickling input has nothing to do with the Lord Jesus' church.  We are the church, not what goes on inside a building.

Misplaced priorities in the believer is when they claim to know the Lord yet  refuse to obey and live according to what they have read in God's Word.  God's grace is there when you fall short and are disobedient to His Word, but maturing and getting your priorities in line means you repent and turn away from the sin that so easily causes you to falter.  Continuing in sin and disobedience, in essence, is failing to embrace the Kingdom and making it your first priority. When you live life choosing to sin, you are choosing not to embrace Kingdom living and the blessings that come with it.  We do not need more preachers who can put out a great sermon and get lots of amens, but with misplaced priorities.  We need walking, talking examples of Kingdom living.  When people see you, they should want what you have so much that they ask you how to get it too.  Then you teach them about the Kingdom of God!

I close with the words of instruction the Lord Jesus gave when He sent out the twelve:  Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!

Don’t take any money in your money belts—no gold, silver, or even copper coins. Don’t carry a traveler’s bag with a change of clothes and sandals or even a walking stick. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve to be fed.

Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a worthy person and stay in his home until you leave town.  When you enter the home, give it your blessing.  If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing.  If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave.  I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day.

Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.  But beware! For you will be handed over to the courts and will be flogged with whips in the synagogues.  You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell the rulers and other unbelievers about me.  When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time.  For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you."

Once again, your greatest asset and top priority is your faith in the Lord God's Word (Jesus the Christ).

The Bible:  Legal Document of the Kingdom

10/21/2017

Picture
After Adam disobeyed the command of the Lord God, mankind spiraled down and became very wicked and sinful.  Men and women began to create gods from their own imagination.  To understand the Lord God's intent, one must return to the beginning.  Remember, before any religion, there was the Word and His Word was law.  In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He existed in the beginning with God.  God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him.  Governments and their constitutions may come and go, but His Word remains the same.  Many religions regard His Constitution as a religious book, but in reality, it is a legal document.  A book of laws that please the King of the heavens and earth.

Keep in mind, there was one command, one law...our Creator's.  It was the spoken Word and Adam failed to embrace it as sacred.  Whenever the King gave a request, it became a decree.  Adam only knew the spoken Word. The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.  But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”  Food for thought:  there was no other knowledge but the knowledge of the Lord God.  This was before Adam ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Do you remember the nation of Israel, whom the Lord God chose through the faith of His servant Abram, better known to many as Abraham?  In order for them to know the desire of their King and God, He had to make known to them His decrees, principles and laws through a representative known as Moses.  These are the regulations you must present to Israel.  Here are just a few of the laws He gave His chosen people, through the promise He made through Abraham. You must not pass along false rumors. You must not cooperate with evil people by lying on the witness stand.

You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.  And do not slant your testimony in favor of a person just because that person is poor.

If you come upon your enemy’s ox or donkey that has strayed away, take it back to its owner. If you see that the donkey of someone who hates you has collapsed under its load, do not walk by.  Instead, stop and help.

In a lawsuit, you must not deny justice to the poor.

Be sure never to charge anyone falsely with evil. Never sentence an innocent or blameless person to death, for I never declare a guilty person to be innocent.

Take no bribes, for a bribe makes you ignore something that you clearly see. A bribe makes even a righteous person twist the truth.

You must not oppress foreigners. You know what it’s like to be a foreigner, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.

Keep in mind, these laws and principles represent the Lord God's character and His character has never changed and neither will it.  You can never say "God changed His mind".  Here is what King Jesus, His Son, stated while He was here on earth:  Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.  That is for those of you who think the Old Testament isn't important.  Remember, testament is a legal term, not a religious term.

Religious people are full of tradition and customs.  They view the Lord God's Constitution as religious writings.  but those who have embraced the Kingdom concept, view the Lord God's Constitution for what it really is.  Keep in mind, the Lord God's character never changes.  His Word is who He is.  If you truly want to be in good standing, you must obey His laws. (Thank the Lord Jesus who gave us the Holy Spirit to help us to do that!) He made that very clear when He spoke to His servant Moses.  Read Leviticus 18 God still hates disobedience (sin) to His Word.  Our world may change, but His character never changes.

Now, concerning the Sabbath, the Lord Jesus made it very clear that He is the Lord of the Sabbath and that it was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.  At about that time Jesus was walking through some grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, so they began breaking off some heads of grain and eating them. But some Pharisees saw them do it and protested, “Look, your disciples are breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath.”

Jesus said to them, “Haven’t you read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry?  He went into the house of God, and he and his companions broke the law by eating the sacred loaves of bread that only the priests are allowed to eat.  And haven’t you read in the law of Moses that the priests on duty in the Temple may work on the Sabbath?  I tell you, there is one here who is even greater than the Temple!  But you would not have condemned my innocent disciples if you knew the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For the Son of Man is Lord, even over the Sabbath!”

The purpose for the Sabbath was literally for rest, yet today Sunday is often the most exhausting day of the week for believers.  It is the religious traditions of man that exhaust them, not the demands of God.  So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed.  On the seventh day God had finished His work of creation, so He rested from all His work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when He rested from all his work of creation.  Why did God rest? Was He tired?  Did He need to put His feet up and have a cold drink?  Did He need a nap?  NO.  He was modeling what He wanted for us...a day of rest.

Approach God's Constitution as an unchanging legal document, where our loving Father God tells us what He wants for us, in us and done through us.  His laws, decrees and principles are all for our good.  All our focus in His Constitution should be our obedience to His Word.

John 1:1-3   Genesis 2:15-17   Exodus 21:1; 23:1-9

Is Your Faith Unshakable?

Recently, my wife Arlene and I were shopping at our regular store and I was surprised to find them out of our bottled water.  I couldn't immediately understand what the crisis was to cause this shortage.  Later I realized that there was  a hurricane heading toward Florida and up the southeast, but that was about a week away!  By the way, it wasn't coming anywhere near our area, yet fear driven people were buying up enough water to last them for weeks or even months.   We only wanted our usual two cases of water, which we get every two week.  Normally, we pick them up at our local Wal-Mart store, but on this day, the Governor--Holy Spirit--directed us to a Walgreen store where all the water at first appeared to be gone, except for two cases of Dasani water, setting out of place on another aisle.  Now tell me what you think about our King?  Not only did he provide the water, but also the brand we drink and the two cases we usually purchase biweekly.

Why do I tell you this little story of running errands and shopping?  Our need wasn't an emergency, or a life/death situation.  What is shows is that He cares about us, provides and directs to that provision if we will listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit.   My wife and I are learning to trust and live by our faith in Him in our lifestyle and in our everyday behavior.  Faith is built through these moments.  Read what the ambassador Paul said to the Hebrew believers:  And my righteous ones will live by faith.  But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.

Keep in mind, the Lord and King responds to your faith in Him, not your religious beliefs in your Christianity or your Christian faith.  So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him. Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”

Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Even here in the "Bible belt", where most everyone claims to be saved and part of a Christian denomination, panic in time of crisis and a lack of faith is predominant.  They call on the Lord God, but fail to acknowledge His Son.  They pray but their actions only show fear.  Their faith is shaken in a time of crisis.   “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

Now read what the Lord Jesus said in John:  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.  Also this:  Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live.  He made it very clear, allowing for no exceptions. My question then is, why do religious people continue to call on the Lord God, rather than His Son Jesus?  Kingdom citizens have a Kingdom mindset, and therefore acknowledge the Lord Jesus' authority and the Lord God as His Father.  We come to the Father through the Lord Jesus, our Savior.

I find far too many religious people confused and fail to know their God-given priorities.  They put their faith in what their religious leaders say, rather than in the Lord God's Constitution (God's Word).  On the other hand, people of this world system always call on God in a time of crisis; a God they really do not know at all.  Then, when He doesn't respond as they want, they are angry at Him, that He would "allow" something so terrible to happen.  Sadly, many Christians conduct themselves in the same manner.  That shows a lack of God's Word in their life.  But those with a Kingdom mindset, are full of His Word and have a relationship with Him and are familiar with His direction.  A Kingdom Citizen's focus is on obedience and faith in the King's Word (His Constitution,--Bible) If you love Me, keep My commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.  I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.  Your faith in His Word is your greatest asset.

Put your faith in the Creator, not the created being.  Put your faith in His Word, as my wife and I have learned to do.  Though it may waver, it never falters, because our faith is not in man but in our Lord and Savior Jesus, the Son of the living God--who IS the Word.

Living as an Ambassador Part 3

Living as an ambassador while here on earth, is a lifestyle and a behavior.  It is a lifestyle that is guarded by the King's laws and principles and guided by the Holy Spirit.  These laws are driven by our love for the King, Jesus the Christ.   “If you love me, obey my commandments."

An ambassador is loyal to his King and country.  He is always faithful to his King's principles and laws.  These ambassadors allow no one and nothing to come between those principles or the King's mandate.  Living as an ambassador for the King and His government, we are aware of His love for us.  The ambassador Paul put it like this.    What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?  Since He did not spare even his own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else?  Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one—for God Himself has given us right standing with Himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

The Lord Jesus never required you, as ambassadors, to attend a church--a brick and mortar building--but to go out and BE the church.  True ambassadors of the Kingdom of the living God aren't self-promoting.  They are careful of what they say, how they say it and the timing in which they say it.  In essence, they are subject to the guidance of the Governor, meaning the Holy Spirit.  Ambassadors of the Kingdom speak the Words of the King boldly.  They have no regard for their own lives, only for the eternal lives of others.  Ambassador Paul put it perfectly:  No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.  No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
When you are in right standing with the King, you can say these words boldly, without hesitation.  Remember, our Kingdom government is one of eternity.  Your behavior and lifestyle should draw men and women to that mindset.  Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.  These words from the King should remind you that this three dimensional world is temporary.

Ambassadors don't gather wealth for themselves off the back of the government in which they are assigned.  The King of their country takes care of His true representatives (ambassador).  All an ambassador of the Kingdom of God has to do is to ask.   You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!  Remember the condition: You must truly believe in the Son.  I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ.

Living as an Ambassador Part 2

While the King was here on earth, He had many followers.  There were those He chose to teach the Kingdom concept, and those who would eventually become ambassadors for His Kingdom government.  But before He did that, He spoke to His Father concerning this: One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.  At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles.  Here are their names:  Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot;  Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot who also became a traitor.

Keep in mind, while the King was here on this earth, He taught these twelve the Kingdom in action, behavior and word.  Now, His Father God had sent Him to reclaim the people here on earth whom He loved.  If the Lord Jesus just wanted to die and give his life, He could have done that in a matter of days.  He didn't have to live here on earth for thirty-three and a half years.  He came here to teach us how to represent His Kingdom government as ambassadors for His Kingdom government, not as  a member of a denomination or even as Christians.  Anything that seeks to divide God's people isn't from God.  There is only one law, obey His Word.  When the King speaks, it is law.  That is the only way you will be truly blessed.  We also must not exalt any human above the Lord Jesus and that even included Mary, the mother of Jesus, as Catholics do.  King Jesus put a stop to that right away, when He made this statement:  As he was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, “God bless your mother—the womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!”

Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

Ambassadors don't gossip or hold arguments concerning things in this world's system.  They are led by the Holy Spirit how to respond.  “And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say,  for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said.”

While here on this earth, the Lord Jesus had many followers, but He only chose twelve to disciple.  What I am saying, in essence, not all who preach and teach are called by the Lord Jesus to teach the Kingdom message He taught.  One way that you can identify those in a profession rather than a calling, is if they are worth millions of dollars but only give a small fraction, if any at all, to the poor while have millions in their possessions. They do not have the heart of their Father.  Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

Ambassadors of the Kingdom are constantly spreading the Kingdom message of their government.  They demonstrate it in their words and behavior.  They don't put money and possessions above King Jesus and His message.   “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money."

While the King was teaching and training His disciples to become ambassadors, he told them where to go, who to go to, what to say and what to do.   Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. And He said to them, “Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.

“Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.  And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”

So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

The writer Mark recorded it this way:  And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts—but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.

Also He said to them, “In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place.  And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

So they went out and preached that people should repent.  And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.

An ambassador represents his government, everywhere he puts his feet.  He doesn't get involved in other government matters.  We as ambassadors shouldn't be protesting, causing chaos or getting into religious debates.  We are born again, into the Kingdom.  You are an ambassador of the Kingdom of God and represent His government here on earth.

Living as an Ambassador

As an ambassador for the Kingdom, your responsibility is to represent the Kingdom government in every aspect of your behavior. Your responsibility is to learn the Kingdom concept, then preach it, teach it and live it until you leave your present body.  The ambassador John, the earthly cousin of the Lord Jesus, stayed focused on the Kingdom message until his death.  By the way, the Lord Jesus spoke very highly of him to His disciples.  Even though John was put in prison for speaking Kingdom principles concerning the ruler's brother's wife, he never failed to represent his government.  When Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, heard about Jesus, he said to his advisers, “This must be John the Baptist raised from the dead! That is why he can do such miracles.”

For Herod had arrested and imprisoned John as a favor to his wife Herodias (the former wife of Herod’s brother Philip).  John had been telling Herod, “It is against God’s law for you to marry her.”

An ambassador never gives his opinion, only the laws and principles of his government.  He speaks the words of his King.  Why do religious leaders and other believers give their opinions all the time?  Do not get entangled with the strife and chaos of this world.  An ambassador stays true to their assignment and purpose. Focused! He is placed in other countries and territory to be a representative and to influence others concerning his government.  This why it is so important to study the Lord God's Constitution and have them written on your heart and mind.  Then you become a better representative, more like Him.  We are also more able to follow the leading of our Governor, the Holy Spirit.  The Lord Jesus wasn't only the Lord and King, but also an ambassador for His home country (Heaven).  “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.  There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?  When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.  And you know the way to where I am going.”

“No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.  If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”

Keep in mind, every ambassador of the Kingdom is a road map to lead you to the King by their behavior and actions.  The Lord Jesus was the Word in the flesh.  So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.  And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.  This is why He made this statement to Thomas:   Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

By the way, ambassadors, never get involved in another government.  However, you will find that many of a religious or carnal mindset who are always speaking out against this world's government or debating denominational differences.  Whether here in the United States, or in another country, they fight and cause chaos in the name of Christianity or their religious beliefs.  When the ambassador Paul wrote to the city of Colosse, he made this statement:  For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;  strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy;  giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.  He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,  in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.  Note some key words, such as will, knowledge, long suffering, Kingdom, spiritual, understanding, increasing and the knowledge of God.  Not many want to suffer anything for the King.  Even in their relationship with the Lord Jesus, their focus is on themselves and "what's in it for them".  Many religious leaders reinforce that by teaching on prosperity, blessings and how to get rich.  If that was the message Jesus preached, why weren't His disciples living in mansions with all that wealth affords?

Please remember, His Word is forever.  Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

A true ambassador promotes His Kingdom government, not his personality.  I will add, ministries built on personality are like the house built on the sand.  It will crumble.  Only a ministry build on the Kingdom will stand rock-solid!

Your greatest commodity is your faith and trust in the King.

Colossians 1:9-13

His Message Was One of Restoration

When the Lord Jesus and His cousin, John, arrived on this earth, they only had one message to be delivered to humanity.  At first it was ambassador John proclaiming the Kingdom message and the introduction of the King.

This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God. It began just as the prophet Isaiah had written:  “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.  He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming!  Clear the road for him!’”  This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

The Gospel of Matthew recorded it like this:   In those days John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching. His message was, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." The prophet Isaiah was speaking about John when he said, “He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming!  Clear the road for him!’”

One message, "The Kingdom of God is at hand".  One goal:  to restore and redeem mankind to his Creator, Source and King.  There was no other message that the Lord Jesus came to deliver to the human race. The Lord Jesus preached and taught that same message the whole time He was here on earth.  He didn't preach on prosperity, how to get wealth, how to stay young or how to be free from all diseases.  It was all about obedience to the Lord God's Son, Jesus the Christ, which will lead to being restored to our rightful place in the Kingdom.   “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."  We, as citizens and ambassadors of the Kingdom, should be preaching and clarifying the Kingdom government to this present age; not spreading the word of condemnation to the world.  This world is already condemned because of their disobedience.  God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.  There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

Remember, we as citizens of the Kingdom of heaven are reborn to assist others in surrendering their lives to the King and to make His Kingdom our first priority.  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.   It is not our responsibility to condemn any human, the Constitution of the Lord God will do that.  It is our responsibility to live a life full of His Spirit, teaching others through our behavior how to live.  Remember, He wasn't only the Word.   In the beginning the Word already existed.  The Word was with God, and the Word was God.   He existed in the beginning with God.  God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.  The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone....

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

If you aren't preaching and teaching the Kingdom government Gospel, then you are preaching another gospel.  Do you recall what ambassador Paul wrote to the people of Galatia?   I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.

Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.
Let's get with King Jesus' program and stop acting like we have a lifetime to be here on this earth. You are to learn the Kingdom Gospel, then apply it to your life.  Then take the time to teach others how to apply the Gospel of the Kingdom to their lives.  The key to all that I have stated is obedience to the Lord God's Constitution.  Anything else isn't necessary.  The Lord Jesus made it plain.  Stop trying to get to His Father while ignoring Him.

There are far too many people calling on God, but ignoring His Son.  It just won't work.  The Lord Jesus is our Redeemer.  He is the One that the Lord God sent to restore mankind.  He is the One who has all authority.  Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth."  Only He restores.

Remember, your greatest and most valuable asset is your faith in the King.
