All That is Named Kingdom. . .

Picture
Long before I learned the Lord God’s purpose and assignment for my life, I saw many religious institutions with the name “Kingdom” over their entrances. At the time, I didn’t think much about it. For me it was the title of their church or ministry. Now, having been guided by the Governor—the Holy Spirit—I realize that many religious leaders do not have a clue what a kingdom is. They see it as a religion—a denomination. The word "kingdom" is tossed around too loosely in religious circles, which gives people a misrepresentation of God's Kingdom. But Kingdom citizens know that a kingdom is a government, ruled and governed by one leader—a king. A king is sovereign and the supreme ruler. In God’s Kingdom the Lord Jesus is the King.  And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:  King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation19:16

Keep this thought in mind, our Lord’s Kingdom is not of this world. That makes us who are born again of His Spirit not of this world also. Read what King Jesus stated to Pilate:  Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”

Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”

Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?”

Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My Kingdom is not from here.” John 18:33-36 Once you realize who you are in His Kingdom, you will never have to fight for yourself as many Christians have done. When you realize that your Kingdom is not of this world, then and only then you will embrace this scripture from God’s Constitution:   Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.

Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. Romans 12:19-21 NLT

Have you ever looked for a church in your area that teaches about God’s Kingdom government? Maybe you found a church with the word “kingdom” in their name. Maybe they use the word “kingdom” on their website or even when they talk. But when you go there, you see church as usual. That’s what I’m talking about. Not all that says “kingdom” is focused on His Kingdom government and living as a citizen of the government right here on this earth. They may teach on Kingdom principles, but from the religious doctrinal perspective.

To truly understand about the God’s Kingdom as a government, I encourage you to read the first four books of the New Testament, especially Matthew 13. When you read all that the Lord Jesus said, know that it is our King speaking to His citizens. He tells us what His Kingdom looks like, how it operates and what we can expect and do in that Kingdom while here on this earth!

Those of you who have an “ear to hear”, allow yourself to also understand. The Kingdom of Heaven is where our Lord God resides. His throne is in Heaven.  The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. Psalm 11:4

The Lord looks down from Heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. Psalm 14:2

I will be perfectly clear, only those who are filled with His Spirit are citizens of His Kingdom. That is what He meant when He told Nicodemus that “you must be born again”. Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.” John 3:5-6

Attending a church, paying tithes and attending what many call Bible study every week does not make you a citizen of His Kingdom. It makes you religious and a good member of your church. And that is fine, if that is all you want. To be a member of a church group is one thing, but to be a citizen of the Kingdom of the Lord God is being filled with the Holy Spirit. It is living in the Kingdom while here in this world, with all the rights, benefits and responsibilities of that citizenship!  Once you get a taste of it you will never be satisfied going back to church as usual.

I must add one more misuse of the word kingdom before I close:  Using it to ‘grow’ your business. I recently saw a prayer request (not given specifically to us) that wanted people to pray that God would send people with money, who want to grow a kingdom mindset, to their business! Study the life and teachings of King Jesus through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and find a scripture where Jesus told them how to gain wealth through the Kingdom. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” Matthew 21:12-13 Matthew 6 tells not to be enslaved to money and how in the Kingdom all your needs are met if we first seek His Kingdom and His righteousness. The Kingdom of God is not about building wealth. Money is never to be our focus. Don’t take my word for it. Seek out God’s truth in His Constitution.  But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Remember, your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.

The Great Deception Part 3

9/9/2022

Picture
It is 6 AM Sunday morning, as I am finishing the final article on this topic, there are many who are getting prepared to attend a church service. Attending to enjoy the service and fellowship is all well and good; but the deception is the belief that doing so puts them in right-standing with God. There are pastors and religious leaders who want you to believe that not attending church is a sin, but that is not the truth. That is a religious mindset built on denominational laws and customs. The Lord Jesus had the same challenges with the religious leaders of the day while He was here on earth. Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came together to Him, having come from Jerusalem. Now when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault. For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands in a special way, holding the tradition of the elders. When they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other things which they have received and hold, like the washing of cups, pitchers, copper vessels, and couches.

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”

He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”

He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban”—’ (that is, a gift to God), then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.” Mark 7:1-13

Keep in mind that religion and religious people make a big deal about the exterior of their church buildings and their people. Their focus is on raising huge building funds to build bigger, more extravagant buildings. It gives the appearance of success. But on the inside, you wouldn’t have to look very long in the congregation to find lack and despair with people struggling with sin, joblessness, hunger and homelessness.  In some religions, it only takes a religious collar to be viewed as a holy person. But the Lord God does not see our holiness by the outside. So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:6-7

This outward religious appearance makes it difficult for people to come to Christ. There are too many rules, traditions and cultures to overcome.  It can feel overwhelming and insecure about their “ability to live up to it all”.

I reiterate, it is never required for anyone to join a church in order for them to come to the King. King Jesus made this statement that applies to all mankind:  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

Remember, you are a tripod being—you live in a body, you have a soul (mind, will and emotions) and most importantly, you have a spirit that will live on eternally. King Jesus made this statement regarding those who have done good or evil. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28-29

King Jesus mostly taught and preached about God’s Kingdom in their synagogues. He could have had His own temple built and let people come to him. But He didn’t. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. . .Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease ]among the people. When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works?” Matthew 4:23, 9:35, 13:54

Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, He went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at His teaching, for He taught with real authority—quite unlike the teachers of religious law. . . Jesus left that part of the country and returned with His disciples to Nazareth, His hometown. The next Sabbath He began teaching in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were amazed. They asked, “Where did He get all this wisdom and the power to perform such miracles?” Mark 1:21-22, 6:1-2 NLT

Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. Luke 4:14-15

The more religious doctrine that is in a person’s mind, the more difficult it is to receive the Kingdom message. You cannot see the Kingdom government through a religious mindset. That is why I have written these three teachings. There must be a focused detoxing of our thoughts to embrace the Kingdom message. In order to do that, you must be able to differentiate between what beliefs are religious and what are Kingdom. Once you do, read King Jesus’ parables on what “the Kingdom is like”. On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”

He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. . . But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. Matthew 13:1-13, 16-17

Remember what God’s Constitution states:  For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6-7
Yes, a government! God’s Kingdom government, in no way a religion. Pray for wisdom and understanding. Study God’s Constitution.

Always remember that your greatest asset is your faith in the Lord Jesus the Christ’s Word.

The Great Deception Part 2

8/26/2022

Picture
Deception is everything opposite the truth. Anything contrary to God's Word is a lie and Satan is the father of all lies.

Satan uses religion and mankind's desire to be in relationship with the Lord God as a tool to divide as well as to cause mankind to think that by being religious they become closer to God. Notice that I stated “God”, not His Son. Religion keeps people from seeing and comprehending the Kingdom. There are many religious leaders who may be aware of the Kingdom message but are afraid to proclaim it because it will interfere with their financial flow. For them to do so, they would have to admit they were wrong in their teaching.

One clear sign that a religious leader/pastor/minister either doesn’t understand the Gospel of the Kingdom as King Jesus taught or is misrepresenting His Kingdom, is if they focus on building “Kingdom Wealth”. King Jesus never taught the multitudes or His disciples how to build Kingdom wealth! God’s Constitution is your measurement for Truth. “Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart [soul desires] will be also. . . No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]. Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?” Matthew 6:19-21, 24-25 AMP

You don’t have to attend a religious institution in order to reach the Father God. Do you recall what the Lord Jesus stated to the religious leader named Nicodemus?  No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:13-17

First, in our minds, we must separate the Lord God and King Jesus from our religious mindset. Religion does not equal God. Religion is an emotional tool that the evil one uses to control the masses. Look at the religion of Catholicism. They have much hierarchy that their members must follow to be in good standing; but King Jesus made this statement: “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:15-17

Remember, the devil is a spirit—a fallen angel—and those that give themselves to him, through disobedience of the Lord God’s Constitution, will be misled every time. Religion gives one a false sense of eternal security. It can feel like a “get out of jail free” card. Rules are created by the hierarchy; some in line with God’s Constitution, some have nothing to do with it. Now follow these rules “religiously” and you’ll go to heaven. You won’t need to read and study His Word or listen to the Holy Spirit, just follow your leaders.

In order to operate in this world as a Kingdom citizen, you must put ALL your faith and trust in Him. You must listen to the guidance of the Governor—the Holy Spirit.  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20

Faith is a lifestyle, not a religious mindset. Many who claim to live by faith, really depend on the world’s assistance for their survival:  doctors, government benefits, and even their earthly family and friends. By the way, I am speaking of those who claim to believe in the Lord Jesus the Christ, not those who are lost in the world. It is the believer who is being so greatly deceived. Too often, they are lulled into a fugue of complacency, by attending weekly services, giving tithes and offerings, believing they are pleasing the Lord God. But remember that it is faith that pleases Him.   But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

Do not become stagnant when it comes to your faith in the King! If you are sick, don’t let your first thought be of doctors and medicine. Pray! Ask the One who created you for healing. If you are in financial need, ask the One who is your Source, not friends or family or for yet another loan. King Jesus’ command to us is to “Have faith in God!” This is a constant, not a momentary, command. So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”  Mark 11:22-24  Those are some strong words from the Lord Jesus, but can you believe them? They are not being spoken by your religion, but by your Lord and He cannot lie!

Build your faith. If you consistently study God’s Constitution, your faith in the King will grow every day. No one in the world needs religion to reach the Lord God. They need to embrace His Son, Jesus the Christ. The Lord Jesus, who is the King, made it quite clear in this statement when speaking to His disciple, Thomas:  Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:5-6
Even though He was speaking to Thomas, it applies to the whole world as we know it.

Remember, your faith in the King’s Word is your most valuable asset in His Kingdom.

The Great Deception Part 1

8/12/2022

Picture
The problem with deception is that when you are in it you cannot see it. The light of His Word must be shined on it, to be seen from another perspective. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit—our Governor—will give all wisdom and clarity of all deceptions. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:13

All our lives, we have been taught to attend some kind of religious institution. For those who consider themselves Christian, they are told they must attend a church in order to please God. They are told denominational laws to obey to be in right standing with the church. Some have been told if they don’t, they are going to hell. By the way, that statement isn’t anywhere in the Lord God’s Constitution.

There are so many religions on this earth that it confuses and deceives millions of people, preventing them from embracing the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Lord Jesus is God’s son and His Father gave Him all authority on earth and in Heaven.  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”  Matthew 28:18-19 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 It is because of His God-given authority from His Father that He could tell His disciples that they could make disciples of the nations.

When He made the statement in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, He was speaking One. King Jesus made this statement when speaking to His Father:  Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. John 17:11 By the way, that prayer is for all of those who accept the Lord Jesus by faith, without having seen Him in person.  “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:21-23

The great deception is this:  That you have to have a religion to have access to God. Note that I stated God, not the Lord Jesus? Remember, there are multiple religions—Islam, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, to name a few—but only one God.

Humanistic skeptics believe religion to be a coping mechanism—a mechanism of self-comfort to make themselves feel that their life has a higher purpose. While they aren’t necessarily anti-religious, they are skeptical of one religion being valued over another. Not only do skeptics question the authority of religion, they doubt many of the claims people make regarding the religious practices they follow.

Another deception is in the atheistic perspective on religion and God: Atheists view religion as an evolutionary adaptation that has made people vulnerable to whatever belief system they choose. They see it as a crutch for those who are mentally and emotionally weak. They insist that religious practices are without reason and unsupported by scientific fact. They do not believe God exists. Because atheists reject the existence of God or any form of a higher power, they claim that most religions are based on superstition. Some even believe religiosity is man’s attempt to make sense of how humans exist in the first place.

Keep in mind; these are the views of the skeptics and atheists. But you cannot logically understand the Lord God and His creation. There is no room for religious thinking in the Kingdom of God because there is only one leader and King. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

Religious thinking divides and separates. Too many people want to be leaders over a large group of people. That equals success in the church world. Religion has become big business and the evil one—meaning Satan—is feeding their appetite with a multitude of lusts and power. Satan has given them the same offer he gave our King Jesus in the wilderness.  Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Matthew 4:8-9 The problem with that is, the religious leaders have accepted his corrupting offer, but our Lord and King replied to him with His Father’s Word. Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. Matthew 4:10-11

Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever, because  all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. 1 Peter 1:23-25

The other day, as my wife and I were talking about the Kingdom and the mindset of others, the Governor—the Holy Spirit—reminded me of how religious individuals think. Keep in mind, the way you think is what you learned from those around you, your culture or what you have been taught.

When you have a Kingdom mindset, you view the Word, God’s Constitution, from a different perspective. When you have a religious perspective of God’s Constitution—the Bible—your thoughts will be based on religious teachings. Religious teaching becomes so deeply ingrained that God’s Kingdom can only be seen as religious and not the government of Heaven.

A Kingdom citizen knows that he is filled with and led by Our Governor of the Kingdom—the Holy Spirit. A Kingdom citizen uses words such as God’s Constitution, government, governor, citizenship and Father. It reinforces the understanding that the Lord Jesus came with the “government on His shoulders” to reintroduce God’s Kingdom here on earth. He gave us access to that Kingdom. Ambassador Paul made it very clear that our citizenship is of a heavenly nature.  Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example. For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior. Philippians 3:17-20 NLT

When you are of a Kingdom mindset, you think of one leader and King, not a bunch of leaders here on the earth. We follow one leader and His Word is law. Keep this scripture in mind that King Jesus spoke while here on earth:  “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 28:18

Remember, as a citizen of His Kingdom, as long as you continue to use religious terms, you will always view yourself as a religious person and not as a part of the Kingdom government. That will hinder you from living an abundant life in God’s Kingdom while here on this earth. Christians of a religious mindset that you interact with should not influence you, but you should influence them. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15. . . Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God. Mark 7:7 NLT

Keep in mind, if you call a lion a kitty cat and then kneel down to pet it, you will have a rude awakening. It doesn’t matter how you see the lion, or what you call him, the lion is still a lion and will act out his nature. Knowing who you are keeps you in a Kingdom mindset. I have known Christians who hang their heads in false humility, saying, “I’m just a sinner, saved by grace.” Then that is all they will ever be because that is how they see themselves. But as a citizen of the Kingdom, I am a joint heir with the Lord Jesus, a child of the King! And by faith, I can live an abundant life in the Kingdom of God. All my needs are met and my King protects me and heals me of all my sickness. It is how the Lord God created me to be. I have the authority He has given me and you can say the same thing. Glory! Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14 This is a Kingdom mindset!

When you have a Kingdom mindset, you will have the same thought pattern as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. King Jesus made it very clear when He made this statement in His prayer for all believers. I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. John 17:20-23

This is the Kingdom mindset, led by the Holy Spirit. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:13-16

Religion and religious people are so divided and confused. Denominations divide over manmade laws. Kingdom citizens embrace God’s Constitution as God’s law---His testaments to His people. They allow themselves to be led and guided by our Governor—the Holy Spirit. Remember, think government, not religion.

The Lord Jesus didn’t come to start another religion; He came to bring God’s Kingdom to earth!

Remember, your greatest asset in the Kingdom is your faith in the Word of the living God.

Divide and Conquer

Think about this:  The religion that is called Christianity is failing because it is divided by many factors, such as color (that the world labels as race), culture, denomination, and economic status. Why do I say color and culture rather than race? Because there is only one race and that is the human race.  Then God said, “Let Us make human beings in Our image, to be like Us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:26-27 NLT

That unites us. Yes we are one race—human! Many people are blinded. Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:  “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.” John 12:39-40  Please understand that though this is referring to the religious sect of the Lord Jesus’ day, this still applies to us in this day and time. Satan uses lies, deception, fear, and unbelief to separate the people of God. I’ll bet that each of you can think of someone whom you would have considered a friend—maybe a close friend—that has distanced themselves from you this past year. This past year has been saturated with lies, deception and fear and it has brought a great division, even among God’s people.

Religion is full of tradition and customs, and in most cases it has nothing whatsoever to do with God’s Kingdom. It often focuses more on manmade laws than God’s Word. Manmade laws and traditions, bring division. Read what the Lord Jesus answered when religious teachers accused Him of being possessed by Satan because He was able to cast out demons: So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand." Mark 3:23-25

In the Kingdom, there is no division or chaos! We should all be speaking the “same language”. Why, then, would we accept divisions amongst Believers and their churches (denominations)? The Lord God, His Son and the Holy Spirit are one. Our Lord and King made this statement:  I and My Father are one. John 10:30 Remember that the Lord God has you in His hands. You are secure in Him. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. John 10:28-29

The Lord Jesus came to restore His Kingdom and not a religion. In a kingdom there is only one authority and that is the King Himself. Religion separates and divides, in the Kingdom all are one under the King. It was in His prayer. “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:20-23

The only division is between the Kingdom and the world. When you seek the Kingdom first, you will discover that you are separating from the world and all that is connected to it. Hear what the Lord Jesus said:  “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” Luke 12:49-53

Question to consider:  Do you find that there are many in your family that are religious but fail to live by the King’s Word? They may even have their own “interpretation" of what His Word means. Maybe they have even taken scripture out of context and blended it with the world’s current collective mindset to make it “politically correct”. If you read the four Gospels, you will see that our Lord Jesus was never “politically correct”!

When we allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, we will begin to see where we are inline with God’s Word and where we need a course correction.  Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:23-26

Knowing what the Lord God wants from you, be diligent to read and study God’s constitution everyday. Make time—make it a priority—because it is food and nourishment for your spirit. In order for us to grow in our faith and trust in Him, we must feast on His Word daily. I would be embarrassed if  an ambassador of God’s Kingdom spoke these words to me:  There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s Word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. Hebrews 5:11-14 NLT

We are living in a day when it is imperative that we model unity in the Kingdom to the world. One mind, one Word, one purpose--advancing the Kingdom of God throughout our community, our region, our nation and our world! And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion.

For there the Lord commanded the blessing—life forevermore. Psalm 133

Remember what I always say—Your greatest asset in the Kingdom is your faith in His Word!

Don't Worry Part 2

So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear? These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:31-34 The Lord Jesus is saying we are no different from unbelievers when worry dominates our minds.

Please note:  When you have a Kingdom mindset, you will know who you are and your purpose in this life. When you are focused on the Kingdom there is no room for worry or anxiety because you are aware of your first priority. The world, including religious minded people, is filled with anxiety and lack total faith in the King when troubles come. It is easy to think you have faith, until trials test it! When the Lord Jesus made the statement to seek the Kingdom above all else, it wasn’t a suggestion but a command.  A religious minded person is always asking God for something rather than praising and worshiping Him for His goodness, provision and protection. In the Kingdom of God, we don’t need to ask. The Lord God knows our needs. We need to praise Him for it! When you are a citizen in good standing, the King takes care of His citizens because they trust in Him. Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you. Psalm 37:3-5

Focus Point:  Many times, I have stated that oil and water don’t mix. No matter how hard you try to blend it, it will not stay mixed. Faith and doubt are the same way. We claim to believe the Lord God and trust Him, but our daily lives, concerns and thought reveal just the opposite. The statement, “Actions speak louder than words” is definitely true! We may say we have faith and believe the Lord God provides for all our needs, but we work and strive to earn enough money for our lifestyle. The issue here isn’t hard work, but our focus and who we see as our source and provider. Your employer isn't your source! Your spouse isn't your source! If we are seeking the Kingdom first, our first priority will be time spent in His presence and in His Word. That is what He means when He says to seek FIRST the Kingdom and His righteousness. You need that quiet time between you and Him.

King David had joy in the fellowship of the Lord God. O God, You are my God; I earnestly search for You. My soul thirsts for You; my whole body longs for You in this parched and weary land where there is no water. I have seen You in Your sanctuary and gazed upon Your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise You! I will praise You as long as I live, lifting up my hands to You in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise You with songs of joy. I lie awake thinking of You, meditating on You through the night. Because You are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings. I cling to You; Your strong right hand holds me securely. Psalm 63:1-8 When did you last seek the Lord with that great desire?

Now that we have a better covenant and the Holy Spirit—the Governor living in our mortal body—we can worship and praise Him anywhere and anytime! I praise Him many times while I am driving (with my eyes open of course!) or sitting in my favorite chair at home. I have learned, and am still learning, how to totally trust in the King’s Word. In other words, I am still growing. Our preoccupation with material things, satisfying our needs and wants and getting ahead in this world, is nothing more than pagan—unbelievers—behavior. They are always self focused, looking for “more”. Rather than seeking God's Kingdom and His righteousness, they are seeking after material things. Those who truly know the King as their Source don’t have those concerns because they are confident that no matter how things look, their King has taken care of them.

Please note:  It is important to understand what I mean by pagan. Contrary to what many may assume, most pagans aren’t atheists, nor are they usually evil people. On the contrary, I discovered that they are highly religious people. The word pagan refers to worshippers. It refers to individuals who worship a god other than the Lord God of all creation, as revealed in God’s constitution (the Bible). An equivalent word for pagan is idolater. Pagans are zealously religious devotees and adherents to a specific system of beliefs and are rigidly faithful to a strict set of customs and rituals. But it is not the Lord God they worship, but their gods are what He has created. They worship the creation rather than the Creator.

King Jesus stated that only religious people—Gentiles, which is pagan—chase after the basic needs of life. It is time to set aside a pagan mindset with its priority of things and take up the divine priority of the Lord God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. In this way, He will give you peace. Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:2-4

Once we truly understand that our provision and our protection is our King’s responsibility, we will have peace and not live in anxiety and strife.  Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:11-13

Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the word of God.

Don't Worry Part 1

King Jesus made this command while down here on earth:  “Don’t worry!” Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Luke 12:22 NKJV Why? Because worry doesn’t change anything and it shows your level of trust and faith in God’s Word. Regardless of all the evil one puts this world through, we as Kingdom citizens are to stand tall on His Word!

Please note:  Most of us spend our time filled with anxiety about things we cannot change or that will never even happen. In either case, worrying is pointless. By the way, I am practicing what I teach. My faith in Him is getting stronger in His Word. Always remember, anxiety changes nothing. Anxiety consumes our peace, energy, time, talents, gifts, wisdom, strength and knowledge. It even consumes our imagination and ability to think clearly. This is why I stay in His Word and why it is vital that you do also. It fuels our faith in Him. We should have King David’s heart for the Lord God’s Word:  “How can a young person stay pure? By obeying Your Word. I have tried hard to find you—don’t let me wander from your commands. I have hidden Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:9-11 The only thing that worrying accomplishes is to make one sick, causes your blood pressure to rise, and opens the door to depression. Stress causes veins and arteries to constrict and reduce your blood flow. Need I remind you that you are filled with anxiety because you have misplaced priorities, which causes you to have misplaced faith?   Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to Him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things? Luke 12:24-26

Focus Point:
When we realize who our true source and provider is, we will come to the realization that our total faith and trust is only for our Father and His Word. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 25:3-4

Please note:  In the Kingdom, invisible things of the Spirit are much more real than the physical we now experience because we were made by the Word of the living God. Remember, we were a spirit before we had a body! Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. For by this [kind of] faith the men of old gained [divine] approval.

By faith [that is, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom and goodness of God] we understand that the worlds were framed and created [formed, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose] by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:1-3 AMP

The problem we have is that we have misplaced our faith. We have changed the focus of our direction and source. Instead of looking to the Kingdom and our Heavenly Father, we look to ourselves or mankind—spouse, parent, employer, pastor, and the government—to sustain us. When you have more faith in doctors, medicine and mankind in general, your faith is misplaced and you have opened yourself up to anxiety, worry and fear! Man will let you down, the Lord God won't!

If you are looking to anyone or anything else other than the Lord God, our Father and King of Heaven as your source, you will struggle and your life just won’t come together.

Please note:  Any religion that focuses on the acquisition of things and meeting personal needs is a religion of modern day paganism. Pagan is a broad term covering many definitions, including hedonism (representing those who are sensual, materialistic, self-indulgent and worship the pleasures of life), new age, wicca, and nature worship (by placing a higher value on all of nature than God the Creator and mankind). My focus in this context is pertaining to the great focus in today’s religions on “me”. When our focus and prayer life is consistently focused on our own problems, needs, wants, pleasures, comforts and desires, we become the focus of our worship! Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His Kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:31-34 AMP

The Gentiles were considered to be pagans (or heathens). Our pre-occupation with material things, wealth and getting ahead in this world system is nothing short of paganistic behavior. It is hedonistic in many cases. For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. 2 Timothy 3:2-5 AMP

King Jesus told us in His Word that all our needs are met. All we are required to do is to seek first His Kingdom! Those of us who truly know the Lord God as our Source and Supplier will not have these worries and anxiety because we are confident that He has taken care of us. Complete trust in God brings peace, no matter what is going on in the world. But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. Matthew 6:33 AMP

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6

Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word!

Kingdom Giving

10/31/2020

Picture
I live in a small town called Easley, in the United States of America. But I wasn’t born or raised here. In the city where I’ve spent most of my life, Brooklyn, New York, there was no shortage of individuals with great monetary wealth.  By the way, I wasn’t one of them! Some of those people attended some kind of religious institution or church. Whether it was Catholic, Baptist, Methodist or Pentecostal, they all considered themselves to be Christians. In those churches, their pastors and religious teachers stressed to their members that paying their tithes was necessary to be blessed. The often used scripture in the Lord God’s constitution is Malachi 3:8. “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. NKJV

While King Jesus was here on earth He never instructed His followers to pay tithes. He did state to give to the poor. Notice what He stated to the rich young ruler. Someone came to Jesus with this question: “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?”

“Why ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.”

“Which ones?” the man asked.

And Jesus replied: “‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

“I’ve obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else must I do?”

Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions. Matthew 19:16-22 Notice that not one time did Jesus mention to the rich young man to pay tithes (a tenth of his wealth). What He did state was to sell his possessions and give to the poor.

The story of the rich young man was also recorded in Mark:  Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” He told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!” This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” Mark 10:21-25

If you have the Governor—Holy Spirit—residing in you, He will lead and guide you as to your giving. Teaching tithing in the church has become vital to their survival. Churches need their bills and salaries paid. They raise building funds to build bigger buildings. These churches begin to have a great resemblance to the rich man building bigger barns. Then Jesus said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

Then He told them a story: “A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’ Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’

“But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”  Luke 12:15-21

We are all to be good stewards of what we are given. This is just as true for the church as the people. Is there lack in the people? How are the offerings being used? Is the church's overhead so much that they must choose between paying their own expenses or helping those who come to them with genuine needs? In many cases, we have lost our way and sustaining the church takes precedence over helping those with dire needs!

This is what I want you to understand: King Jesus knew what monetary riches would do to us. Ambassador Paul addressed this with the Philippians.  And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 And here, Timothy addresses the issues with money: But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:9-10 This is true for all, including pastors and ministers and with their members.

My point is this, tithes in the New Covenant isn’t meant for the born again people of faith. Giving to the poor should be a priority. Giving whenever the Holy Spirit leads, is a priority. Read what the apostles did. All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need. Acts 4:32-35 This is God’s plan for His church. The people freely gave (not a “tenth”) and the money was used to care for the poor and needy among them. Not one time did the apostles instruct the people to pay tithes in addition to giving to the poor. Having said that, the question is, can a rich individual enter the Kingdom of God? The answer is yes, but according to King Jesus it isn’t easy.  Then Jesus said to His disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” Matthew 19:23-24 But keep in mind, all things are possible with our Father.  The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” Matthew 19:25-26

If you really want to read something scary, read how riches distract people from the Lord God’s Kingdom and what ambassador James had to say to the “right believers” to whom he was writing. Look here, you rich people: Weep and groan with anguish because of all the terrible troubles ahead of you. Your wealth is rotting away, and your fine clothes are moth-eaten rags. Your gold and silver are corroded. The very wealth you were counting on will eat away your flesh like fire. This corroded treasure you have hoarded will testify against you on the day of judgment. For listen! Hear the cries of the field workers whom you have cheated of their pay. The cries of those who harvest your fields have reached the ears of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

You have spent your years on earth in luxury, satisfying your every desire. You have fattened yourselves for the day of slaughter. You have condemned and killed innocent people, who do not resist you. James 5:16 James gave them the plain unvarnished truth of riches!

Keep in mind that a tenth doesn’t belong to the Lord God. It ALL belongs to Him. But He gives us access and its benefits according to His will! He is our good Father and He supplies all our needs.  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33 So why would we worry or chase after wealth and the world’s riches? Give freely on every occasion as the Holy Spirit leads you. You cannot “outgive” our Father. Yes, He will supply ALL our needs according to His riches in glory. So why would we waste our time and energy chasing after wealth?

Remember, your faith in the King is your greatest asset in the Kingdom, yesterday, today and forever!

Don't Confuse King Jesus With Religion

8/22/2020

Picture
Religion was mankind's idea as the way to reach their god. If you notice, I stated their god, because there are thousands of religions, just as their are thousands of corresponding  so-called gods. It is a tool used to connect with, worship and praise their god. Do you recall what King Jesus stated to a religious ruler?  Jesus replied, “You are a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don’t understand these things? I assure you, we tell you what we know and have seen, and yet you won’t believe our testimony. But if you don’t believe Me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things? No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man has come down from heaven. And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:10-16

King Jesus wasn't sent here to this earth to bring another religion called Christianity. The name Christian is man's name for those Believers who embraced the King. Keep in mind, the people first started giving the disciples that name at the city of Antioch.  Then Barnabas went on to Tarsus to look for Saul. When he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. Both of them stayed there with the church for a full year, teaching large crowds of people. (It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians.) Acts 11:25-26 Notice that neither Paul nor Barnabas called themselves Christians. It was the people who first gave them that name. I say that if you allow people to name you they will define you. Always remember that we aren't another religious group. We are citizens of a celestial government. Ambassador Paul made the following statement while addressing the saints in Philippi:  Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example. Philippians 3:17-20

Know who you are in the Kingdom and that your King will supply all your needs!  And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19 NKJV  Keep in mind that Paul stated that He would supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory. He never said that you should seek after riches. I am a witness and can testify that He has always supplied all my needs according to His riches.

Keep in mind that God the Father and Jesus the Son are one. King Jesus made that perfectly clear when speaking to His Father. Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given Me your name; now protect them by the power of Your name so that they will be united just as We are...I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one—as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me.

I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me.  John 17:11, 21-23
That being the case, why would the King add another religion knowing that religion separates His people? If there is only one way to the Lord God by Jesus Christ, why would He want multiple religions and denominations within those religions?  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 Religion has always divided people and Lucifer used that to keep them from the Kingdom message. King Jesus was clear when explaining the Kingdom to His disciples. Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Matthew 13:18-23

So then, how do we separate a religious mindset from a Kingdom mindset? A religious mindset, though they believe in Jesus Christ, is more earthly minded and will trust mostly in their possessions and what people with influence have to say. They trust in their religious spiritual leaders while failing to be led by the Holy Spirit. Most of what they know of God's Word comes from the sermons they hear, not from spending time in God's Constitution.  Those with a Kingdom mindset, read and study God's Constitution and through that knowledge they are led by the Holy Spirit, our Governor. Those with a Kingdom mindset live knowing that King Jesus and His Kingdom is their top priority. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 NKJV In contrast, a religious mindset will seek blessings and prosperity and ask for things rather than praising the Lord God at all times, in every situation. Kingdom citizens completely trust in His Word, knowing that in His time He will provide for all their needs. Remember, King Jesus is coming back again to reclaim His citizens and the Lord God's children. The Lord God lives in eternity, so His time isn't like mankind's time.

Those of us who have been raised in the church often find it difficult to separate their church activities with their relationship with King Jesus and the Kingdom of God. Having gone through this, I will suggest looking at the things you do in church that make up your faith in Jesus Christ. What has constituted your life as a Christian? Now search out scriptures that line up with those beliefs and activities. Evaluate what you are doing and what you should be doing, according to God's Word. Traditions become such a part of our lives that we don't see that they are not actually necessary. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Everything else is optional!

Once again, your faith in the Lord God's Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.

The Kingdom Is Here Part 2

8/8/2020

Let us pick up right where we last left off. Did you evaluate the fruit in your life? Does it look most like the Kingdom of God or the kingdoms of this world? So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. Galatians 5:16-18 It is the Holy Spirit within us that gives us the power to have a fruitful life in the Kingdom.  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8 NKJV

In this society, where social media dominates many individuals’ lives, many have lost confidence in the Lord God’s constitution. They think that it is just a book of religious stories. That is because religion has made it of no effect. They fail to obey King Jesus’ command and they fail to have any power in their lives. And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. Luke 12:29-31 NKJV

Always remember that the Kingdom is a government and not a religion of any sort. Read what Isaiah prophesied many years before:  For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen! Isaiah 9:6-7  Notice there is no mention of a religion of any kind. That is because our King isn’t a King of any religion, but a Kingdom government. Mankind made up the religions of this world and the evil one is behind it all. Religion is a misrepresentation of our Lord and King Jesus and the Kingdom of God. This is a fallen world and the Lord God isn’t the ruler of it, the evil one is. Listen to what the Lord Jesus stated to His disciples. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does take place, you may believe and have faith [in Me].  I will not speak with you much longer, for the ruler of the world (Satan) is coming. And he has no claim on Me [no power over Me nor anything that he can use against Me]; but so that the world may know [without any doubt] that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father has commanded Me [and act in full agreement with Him]. John 14:29-31 AMP

When you totally trust in Him and His Word, He will give you the Holy Spirit—our Governor. The King always protects His citizens. He will be with you and in your mortal bodies.  If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:15-17 NKJV

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself. 1 Corinthians 6:19

When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, everywhere you go, the Kingdom is there. Everywhere you go, you have the choice to become like the culture of the world, or to allow the Kingdom within you to change the culture around you.

Remember, your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom of God.

Separate and Conquer

The Lord Jesus is one with His Father and the Holy Spirit, our Governor. There is no division with them.

Listen to what King Jesus stated in His prayer to His Father concerning future believers and citizens of the Kingdom. “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.  I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one—as You are in me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me.

“I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one.  I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me.  Father, I want these whom You have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they can see all the glory You gave Me because You loved Me even before the world began!

“O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know You, but I do; and these disciples know You sent Me.  I have revealed You to them, and I will continue to do so. Then Your love for Me will be in them, and I will be in them.”

Keep in mind, the devil is the author of confusion.  Ambassador Paul wrote this to the saints in Corinth.  For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.  Now if the Lord God isn't the author of confusion, then who is?  It is the evil one, the devil.  I have always stated when you see or hear others in a state of confusion or chaos, the Lord Jesus isn't in it. His very presence bring peace.  In the Kingdom of God there is only one King and His name is Jesus in any language.

Keep in mind, the evil one will separate the Lord God's people by any means necessary.  That is one of the reasons that there are so many religious denomination in this world.  They are all claiming to know the Lord God and yet many refuse to embrace God's Word or His Son Jesus our Lord.  If the goal is to bring division in the Kingdom of God, it is not of God.  I am certain that many reading this article are aware that those religions who hold Jesus as Lord are separated by traditions and customs that have nothing to do with the Kingdom government.  If church traditions and bylaws themselves could save people, the state of South Carolina alone could save the world!  For no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them to Me.  Satan's goal is to divide those who believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior so they will be ineffective to others.  He doesn't care how much church we do as long as we remain ineffective. The devil knows that his time isn't long here.  He is more focused than we are! His purpose is to deceive and distract all those on earth while he has the time.  Separate and conquer!  Remember, Satan lost the battle to overthrow the Kingdom.   Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels.  And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven.  This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.

It is our responsibility to seek the Kingdom of God.   Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.  That is our first obligation in the Kingdom.  I will add this word of encouragement.  Never love your life or this present world more than the Kingdom or His Word.  Remember the devil is the accuser of the King's citizens.  Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, "It has come at last—salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ.  For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth—the one who accuses them before our God day and night.
And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.  And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.
Therefore, rejoice, O heavens!  And you who live in the heavens, rejoice!  But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time.”

To sum it up, anything that attempts to divide the people of the Kingdom of God, is a desperate devil trying to separate us and conquer us for his kingdom!

Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word!

In Remembrance of the King

1/18/2020

Picture
The Holy Spirit woke me up this morning with this subject Remembrance of the King.  Are you aware that the Lord Jesus only told us one thing to do in remembrance of Him after He went back to His Father God?  It wasn't our traditional religious holidays, Christmas or even Easter.  He didn't tell them to celebrate his birthday or his Crucifixion.  He never mentioned them.  Those traditions were established later by religious organizations and became traditions and customs of that religion.  There was only one thing that King Jesus commanded us to do:  When the time came, Jesus and the apostles sat down together at the table. Jesus said, “I have been very eager to eat this Passover meal with you before my suffering begins.  For I tell you now that I won’t eat this meal again until its meaning is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”

Then He took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. Then He said, “Take this and share it among yourselves.  For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.”

He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then He broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”

I realize there are many people who grew up with traditions and family memories attached to those religious holidays but that is all they are, religious holidays, having nothing to do with  King Jesus or His Kingdom.  He did not tell us to remember his birth, crucifixion or resurrection.  His focus was on the Kingdom and His Father.  Keep in mind, we are the temple of the living God.  When the Lord God delivered us from our disobedience, it was because He wanted to live in us through the Holy Spirit--our Governor.  Read what ambassador Paul stated concerning holiness:   Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?  And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.

As God said:  “I will live in them and walk among them.  I will be their God, and they will be My people.  Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord.  Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.  And I will be your Father, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
Even though ambassador Paul was speaking to the Corinthian saints, this applies to all Believers.

Let me be perfectly clear, religious people honor and worship religious holidays, but citizens of the Kingdom of God have a memorial and commemoration of His last words to His disciples.  My wife Arlene and I have that memorial on the 23rd of every month, faithfully.  We do it in remembrance of our Lord Jesus.  For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;  and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”  In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. NKJV
Note that He stated in verse 26 "you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes".  He also stated "as often as you do it".  You don't have to attend a church, it is between you and your King.  You are showing the utmost respect and honor for your King and Lord.

Here in the United States, in church they have what they call communion. Many conduct it on a specific Sunday at specific intervals.  But remember, you are the church and can have it in the privacy of your home with your family, such as my wife and I have.

Keep this in mind; the Lord Jesus never had a mass communion.  In fact, those were his family, meaning His disciples.  They were the only ones there.  When it was evening, Jesus sat down at the table with the Twelve... So Jesus sent two of them into Jerusalem with these instructions: “As you go into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him.  At the house he enters, say to the owner, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room where I can eat the Passover meal with my disciples?’  He will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. That is where you should prepare our meal.”  So the two disciples went into the city and found everything just as Jesus had said, and they prepared the Passover meal there.  In the evening Jesus arrived with the Twelve.  It is my responsibility to share with you the truth:  what and how you use it is up to you.  It is not a religious ritual, but an intimate memorial and commemoration of the Lord Jesus.  At no time did the Lord Jesus instruct His disciples to celebrate His birth or His death.  What He did was to set up a memorial for those citizens of the Kingdom of God who followed His last instructions.  He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then He broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

After supper He took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and His people—an agreement confirmed with My blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you...
For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.  Remember, the Lord Jesus never preached on His birth, never preached on the cross and never preached on the resurrection.  Those were things He did.  He only preached and taught on His Kingdom.  That was always His focus and purpose.  To introduce mankind to the Kingdom of God.

Once again, your faith in the King is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.  Glory!

Obedience to God's Word--The Key to Successful Living

11/23/2019

Picture
To be successful in the Kingdom government, you must first put aside everything that you knew about the Kingdom and embrace the Lord God's Constitution as a humble little child.  If you have had a religious upbringing, that is more difficult than if you had never heard of the Bible and Jesus.  You must come to Him as a child, open and willing to be taught and hungry to learn.  One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so He could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering Him.

Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.  I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

Many religious leaders, teachers, pastors, evangelists and prophets have made the Word of the Lord God seem so complicated and difficult to understand.  They want you to think they are "deep" and keep you dependent on them to explain what God is saying.  Some even want you to think they have some special revelation from the Lord God, that goes beyond the Bible.  They use His name to sell books and to build their own kingdom in this present world.  If you want to truly be successful in this present Kingdom and the Kingdom to come, then here is what King Jesus told His disciples and those that followed Him:

“If you love me, obey my commandments.  And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.  He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. "  Later in John's first letter to the church in Asia, he confirmed the Lord Jesus' word of obedience to His Words.  In essence, if you desire to be successful in Kingdom living, all you need to do is to embrace the Lord God's Son as your savior, believe in His Word and allow Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, which is the governor.  He will guide you to all truth...God's Truth.  By the way, in the Kingdom, you can't be successful if you have no love for your brothers and sisters that are in Christ.  If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?  And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.

When you are successful in the Kingdom of the living God, your obedience to His Word is the main ingredient to becoming a citizen in right standing with the King and His Kingdom.  Ambassador John put it this way in his first letter to his brothers in Asia. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey His commandments.  Loving God means keeping His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.  For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.  And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.  Success in the Kingdom doesn't look like success in the world.  Success in the world is based on money, power and popularity.  Success in the Kingdom is summed up in those verses:  Victory over the world.  To have victory over the world, means that it has no power over you anymore.  It offers no real temptation any longer.  You have conquered it in your soul (emotions) and have self-control.  You love God, His children, His Word and are obedient to it.  The world no longer controls you.

There have been many religious books and materials written on the Bible (the Lord God's Constitution) and most of them mention nothing of the Kingdom government.  It doesn't benefit their purpose, their agenda, their bylaws nor their offering plates.  But remember, the Lord Jesus never taught or preached about the cross or the resurrection, it was part of His assignment but not His message. His message was the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.  His very first words to the public were:  From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  NKJV

Keep this one thing in your mind: the Lord Jesus never told His disciples or any of His ambassadors that He would make them rich while representing the Kingdom.  And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Notice He said "according to His riches in glory"; not that He would make you rich according to this world, but that you would never need for anything.  Why?  Because the King will take care of all your needs.  My wife Arlene and I can testify to that.  God always supplies our needs, in His time.  Do you recall what the Lord Jesus stated to His disciples and those around Him in Matthew?   “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money."

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?  Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are?  Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?"

“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing,  yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.  And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?"

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’  These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.Today’s trouble is enough for today."

Again, remember that the Lord God never promised us riches that we could spend on ourselves.  He meets our needs and provides for His purpose for our lives.  That doesn't mean that we make grand plans for "our purpose" outside of His Will and then expect Him to bless it and fund it.  Where He leads, He provides, not where we lead.  Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.  We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.  No, He didn't promise us wealth, but He did promise us eternal life, which is priceless.  The Son of Man must be lifted up,  so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.
He doesn't want any in this world to be lost, but people must make their own choice.

Remember, your faith in the Lord Jesus is your greatest asset in His Kingdom!

The Great Division Among Kingdom Citizens

11/16/2019

Picture
There is one cavernous divide that hinders many believers from embracing the Kingdom message.  That obstacle is called religion.  In fact, what religion does is divide and separate people from accepting the Lord Jesus as Lord and King and understanding His Kingdom. Many individuals think they have to attend some religious institution in order to be in right standing with the Lord God.  In reality all they have to do is to confess their disobedience (sins) to the Lord Jesus and confess Him as their Lord and King.  By the way, you can do that anywhere or at any place.  All one has to do is accept His free gift of salvation and turn their life over to King Jesus, the Lord God's Son.   ...That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Let's focus for a moment on the word "religion" and what it really means.  First, religion is a poison to the Kingdom and a divider of people.  Second, all religion hinders you from coming to King Jesus without having to attend some kind of ceremony, tradition or custom.  Religion keeps you from embracing the Kingdom as the government it is instead of a religious organization.  A vast majority of religious leaders have a religious mindset and have no idea what a Kingdom is.  Often they are unwilling to preach or teach it in fear that it will interfere with the finances  or their job as pastor.

There are many denominations who use Kingdom principles and standards as their cornerstones.  But keep this in mind, they all have their own agenda, customs, laws and traditions and they've wrapped God's Constitution around those things.  Just because those customs, laws and traditions are wrapped up with God's Word doesn't mean they are of God.  They are man made.  Many people in these denominations don't even know the Holy Spirit, our Governor in the Kingdom.  Also remember, the King isn't a God of confusion. For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.

If these religious organizations were of one mind, why are they so separated?  Kingdom citizens are of one mindset.  Ambassador Paul stressed that in his letter to the believers of Christ in Rome.  Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.  Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.  Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.  NKJV  We must be of one mindset, like God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,  that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  NKJV  And when Paul wrote in his second letter to the citizens of the Kingdom at Corinth, he stated:  Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.  NKJV

Remember, there isn't division in the Lord God nor in the Kingdom.  Having said that, how does that compare with religion?  The very word denomination denotes division or a separate group.  I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

Remember, your faith in the Lord God's Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.

Having a Kingdom Mindset

2/9/2019

Picture
There is a critical difference between a religious mindset and a Kingdom mindset.  One example is that most people who claim to know the Lord and King are quick to ignore His Word when it comes to taking one another to the legal system.  I don’t mean those who are of this world system, but those who are brothers and sisters in Christ.  Ambassador Paul had this same situation in his time.  When one of you has a dispute with another believer, how dare you file a lawsuit and ask a secular court to decide the matter instead of taking it to other believers.

Citizens of the Kingdom of God trust the Lord God’s Word and don’t take his brother or sister before the ungodly for judgement!  They trust His Word.  To some, if not most, this is a hard pill to swallow.  But if we are united and one in the Kingdom government, we should be able to settle any dispute that could arise among us.  Read what ambassador Paul stated to those saints at Corinth:  Don’t you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can’t you decide even these little things among yourselves?  Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life.  If you have legal disputes about such matters, why go to outside judges who are not respected by the church?  I am saying this to shame you. Isn’t there anyone in all the church who is wise enough to decide these issues?  But instead, one believer sues another—right in front of unbelievers!  Yes, you read it correctly, citizens of the Kingdom will judge angels!  And yes, we are being a bad witness to the world when we fight among ourselves!

Religious individuals apply the Word when it is convenient.  Citizens of the Kingdom live and breathe by His Word.  They don’t attend religious services, believing that is what keeps them in right-standing with the King, because they realize religious gatherings have nothing to do with their relationship with the King.   Religious leaders take the Lord God’s Constitution as a foundation for their denominational doctrines, but add things that have nothing to do with Kingdom living.

To develop a Kingdom mindset, you must stay in His Word…read, study and spend time alone with the Holy Spirit (our Governor).  They say “you are what you eat”; well you must eat—consume—the Word of God to become more like it.  I do, and you can as well.  It’s being consistent, even when you don’t “feel” like it.  Once you develop a Kingdom mindset, you will find yourself becoming more sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit (Governor).

Keep this thought in mind:  All of those who fail to obey and embrace His Word will not inherit the Kingdom.  Ambassador Paul made it very clear:  Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.

Let’s be clear, a Kingdom mindset is one that is void of religious rituals and focuses on the King and His Word.  The person who possesses a Kingdom mindset isn’t being controlled by religion or its religious holidays and traditions but is led by the Spirit of the living God—the Holy Spirit.  With a Kingdom mindset, we realize our whole being belongs to the King and nothing or no one comes before it—not food or sexual pleasure, nor any other earthly pleasure or addiction.

Don’t you realize that your bodies are actually parts of Christ? Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never!  And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say, “The two are united into one.” But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.  Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Those whose minds haven’t been transformed into a Kingdom mindset—and that includes many Christians--are easily controlled by money, lust and power.  They aren’t led by the Spirit, but by their selfish desires which often are focused on money, power over people, or some level of fame.  It is far too easy, without a transformed Kingdom mind, to get our focus off the Lord Jesus and on to things of this world.  King Jesus, while He was here on earth, made it very plain of your priority: “And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things.  These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs.  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need.”

Always remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.

Religion Focuses on Birth, Death and Resurrection

1/25/2019

PictureChurch of the Nativity in Bethlehem
The Lord God is not the God of the dead, but of the living!  When the King responded to the Sadducees, a religious group of Jesus’ time, He made it very clear:  Jesus replied, ”Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.  For when the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. In this respect they will be like the angels in heaven.

But now, as to whether there will be a resurrection of the dead—haven’t you ever read about this in the Scriptures? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ So He is the God of the living, not the dead.”

When the crowds heard Him, they were astounded at his teaching.
They were trying to trip Jesus up by talking religious semantics.  That’s what often happens when trying to teach Kingdom, religion tries to trap you in a religious web they have created!

Whenever the Lord Jesus went to a funeral, He represented the Kingdom government, meaning the dead were no longer dead. He had all power.  Remember His friend Lazarus?  When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her, a deep anger welled up within Him, and He was deeply troubled.    “Where have you put him?” He asked them.

They told Him, “Lord, come and see.”  Then Jesus wept.  The people who were standing nearby said, “See how much He loved him!”  But some said, “This man healed a blind man. Couldn’t He have kept Lazarus from dying?”

Jesus was still angry as He arrived at the tomb, a cave with a stone rolled across its entrance.  “Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them.

But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, He has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.”

Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”  So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me.  You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe You sent me.”  Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!”  And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!”

Whenever the Lord Jesus attended a funeral, He always represented His government.  The dead were always brought back to life.  When He visited the sick, they were always healed.  The blind were always given their sight, the lame were always made to walk.  He always focused on His purpose for being here on earth.

Keep in mind, His birth, death and resurrection weren’t His focus for being here.  They were integral parts, but not His focus.  His focus was to restore the Kingdom government into the heart of His people, something they had lost.  Those people who go under the religious group of Christian, focus on holidays such as Christmas and Easter or “Resurrection Sunday”, claiming them to be holy days.  But keep this in mind, the Lord Jesus never mentioned nor endorsed those days.  Neither did His disciples or apostles.

Everyone that came around the King were either healed or made alive through His Word.  The Lord Jesus never focused on His death or resurrection!  Why?  Because that was all in the process of giving mankind a second chance.  “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.  God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

There are some religions that honor and worship those who they claim to be saints in their religious circles.  Keep this in mind, The Lord Jesus never instructed His people to worship or celebrate the dead.  Remember, He isn’t the God of the dead, but the living.   "I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ So he is the God of the living, not the dead.”

Again, the Lord God cannot lie.  God is not a man, so He does not lie.  He is not human, so He does not change His mind.  Has He ever spoken and failed to act?  Has He ever promised and not carried it through?

If you will take time to notice, most religious people attend funerals and wakes.  When you realize who you are in the Kingdom, you will understand what the King was saying when He made this statement:  But Jesus told him, “Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead.”  The King was saying, stay focused on the living for they are the only ones you can reach with the Kingdom message.  There are many that are dead spiritually, but the Lord Jesus knows who they are.

If you want to see a bunch of ‘zombies’, just attend a funeral.  Those ‘zombies’ walk, talk and teach others how to do the same.  This may sound humorous, but it is no laughing matter.  We are entertaining a sad state of affairs concerning those who claim to be following King Jesus.  They attend what they call church services every Sunday; and yet the Kingdom concept isn’t being taught.  They debate on church bylaws, customs, and even carpet.  They debate on which megachurch leader is the greatest and how they move to be in that position.  The ambassador Paul had the same situation:  Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people.   I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in Christ.  I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready, for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world?  When one of you says, “I am a follower of Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting just like people of the world?

Now doesn’t that sound familiar?  One more piece of information!  Kingdom citizens allow themselves to be led by the Governor—meaning the Holy Spirit.

And as always, remember that your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom of God government.

Seeking the Lord God Through Religion?

6/16/2018

Picture
Many people join a religious organization in hopes of finding the Lord God.  That is a fact of life.  There are many who join a religious organization because pastors of a certain denomination tell them to. Others join because that is where their parents have always gone.  Some join because they have the same religious mindset as that religious group.  And there are those who are merely following the crowd.  It is understandable that the Lord Jesus, our King, called the people “sheep”.   Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So, He began teaching them many things.

I remind you that the Kingdom of the Lord God has nothing to do with any religion or denomination.  Read what the Lord Jesus said in answering the religious ruler, Nicodemus:  Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”  The Lord Jesus made it quite clear how to make the right connection to His Father.    For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. NKJV He said nothing about attending a synagogue or, as we would say today, a church.  It was the religious who kept the people from embracing the Kingdom or entering it.   “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either.”

Our Lord and King made it quite clear that there is only one way to come to His Father.   Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”  You don’t need a religious institution to help you reach the Kingdom.  All you must do is accept the Lord Jesus, our King, for who He is and embrace His Kingdom.  Remember, His righteousness is His Word.  Seek that first.  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.  So, don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

The Lord Jesus taught in the synagogue, but never did He attend for the sake of worshiping.  Most churches know nothing about the Kingdom concept or its message.  Yet that is the only message the Lord Jesus taught.  He was obedient to His Father until His end of time on this earth.  Religion has nothing to do with the Kingdom of Heaven.  Sadly, the chances of you learning the Kingdom message in a religious institution today is slim to none.  Why?  Most pastors, evangelists and other religious leaders know very little about it.  Most are too stubborn to learn or change their ways in fear of losing their congregation and offerings. Teaching the Kingdom message probably won’t get you rich.  Teaching the Kingdom message is not a “great business opportunity”.  Teaching the Kingdom is our calling, our duty.   He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.  And He said to them, “Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece. NKJV
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.  NKJV

The Lord Jesus made these statements while speaking to the religious leaders of His day: “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things” … “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!”   Does that sound like the religious leaders of our day?

Is it your faith in man or your faith in a religion or even a minister that makes you strong?  No!
It is your faith in the Word of the King that is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.

What is the Substance of Your Foundation Pt 2

4/14/2018

Picture
As I begin to write the second part to this article, it is about 1:23 in the morning.  The Governor, meaning the Holy Spirit, had me to write this to you.  Now the question is, what is the substance of your foundation for life?  In essence, what is it that you truly live by or what is it that you trust, believe or have your total faith in during times of chaos?  Is it your wealth or influence that you lean on as you walk through this life?  Is it your strong family bond or friendships that sustain you?  All those things will change.  Money, influence, friends and even family come and go.  Even those great careers and businesses can disappear in a moment.  Read what ambassador Paul said: For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.  Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful.  For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.

By the way, just attending a church service or worship service is by no means a strong foundation.  Pastors change, people move away, people get offended or they preach something you don't agree with. Whenever man is involved, you will get let down when things get rough. When you read, study and put His Word into action everyday of your natural life, He will bring you through any and every challenge that may come your way.  His Words are life!  My father taught me, “Take my words to heart.  Follow my commands, and you will live.  Get wisdom; develop good judgment.  Don’t forget my words or turn away from them."   His Words will live forever.  Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.  The very words which are the eternal foundation for your life, in the last days will be the very words that will judge you.  Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me.  For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me.  I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.  I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it.  But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken.  I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.  And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.”

Keep in mind, without an eternal foundation the evil one can destroy relationships with friends, family and especially marriages.  He will use a death in the family--a child, family member or even pets--to tear apart a marriage.  How does that happen?  Because their faith and trust is in people and this world system instead of the King.  In times of trouble, you will be shaken to the core.  Satan is testing your very foundation.  Will it crumble or will it hold you up on solid ground?  Would the tragic death of a child drive you apart or draw you closer?  Too many marriages fail to withstand that shaking.

Does the substance of your foundation consist of religious traditions; even the holidays of Christmas and Easter?  Kingdom citizens have knowledge and understanding of where those traditions came from and that they were created by religion and not by God the Father or Jesus His Son.  The Lord God said this to the prophet Isaiah, concerning the children of promise:  “I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness.  I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them.  And you will be a light to guide the nations.  You will open the eyes of the blind.  You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons.  I am the Lord; that is my name!  I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols."  Many people worship these man-made holidays and claim to know the King.  The Lord God spoke to His representative Hosea with these words:  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.  NKJV  Why do you think that the ambassador Paul wrote these words?  Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.

We are to constantly to read and meditate on the Lord God's Constitution.  We are to embrace it with total faith in Him.  The Lord God made this statement through His representative:  Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says:  “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone.  It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on.  Whoever believes need never be shaken.  Read what the Lord Jesus said while speaking and answering the religious leaders of His day: The religious leaders replied, “He will put the wicked men to a horrible death and lease the vineyard to others who will give him his share of the crop after each harvest.”  Then Jesus asked them, “Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures?  ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.  This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.’

I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.
The Lord Jesus made it a priority to make this statement:  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Remember, your faith in the King is your most valuable asset...and your firm foundation!

Transforming Your Thinking

3/31/2018

Picture
While our Lord, King Jesus, was on this earth, the religious people of His own nation wanted Him dead.  Why?  Because of what He claimed!  The governor, Pilate, asked the Lord Jesus these questions:  Then Pilate went back into his headquarters and called for Jesus to be brought to him. “Are you the king of the Jews?” he asked him.  Note that he asked if He was king, not a religious leader of some new sect.  But read His response!  Jesus replied, “Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?”  It was obvious that the religious leaders had mentioned that to Pilate.  by the way, the only thing that Pilate the Governor was interested in was the word king; for there was only one king in that region and it was Caesar.  “Am I a Jew?” Pilate retorted. “Your own people and their leading priests brought you to me for trial. Why? What have you done?”

It takes a focused mind to transform a religious mindset to a Kingdom mindset.  The only thing that got Pilate's attention was the work king!  Notice our King's reply.  Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.”  Pilate knew any other king in his nation would be in conflict with Caesar's.  That is why the Lord gave him that reply.  Pilate knew you could only have one king in one nation or country.  So, he asked again:  Pilate said, “So you are a king?”  Jesus responded, “You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”   Did you notice the Lord's answer?  He didn't come to start a new religion.  He was born to be a King.  He was born to confirm His Fathers Words are Truth.  The ambassador Paul had the right thinking when he stated:  And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him.  Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  Ambassador Paul wrote that letter to the citizens of Rome, Kingdom citizens and believers everywhere.

To understand the Kingdom concept, you must first read and re-read God's Constitution.  A transformation takes place with new thinking.  Remember, the Kingdom of Heaven is a government, not a religious group or organization that can be debated on.  Jesus is the door to the Kingdom.  Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved.  They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.

There are many who believe in Jesus but fail to know of His Kingdom.  He made it very clear.  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.  So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

It was foretold by Isaiah, representative of the King and His government.  For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.  The government will rest on his shoulders.  And he will be called:  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  His government and its peace will never end.  He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.  The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

He is our King, not some religious symbol as some would like for us to believe.  To truly understand the Kingdom, we first embrace the essence of the Kingdom concept.  We must change our thinking through the Word.  Read and study the Four Gospels.  Transforming your mind.  It is a process.  Be consistent and persistent.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.  The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.  NKJV
