Knowing Who You Are in His Kingdom

2/24/2023

Once you realize who you really are, you will conduct yourself with a different mindset. Ambassador Paul is an example to follow. Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example… But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. Philippians 3:17, 20 NLT

There are many who wear the religious title of Christian, but fail to study the Lord God’s Constitution. In His Constitution, the Lord Jesus promised to send us the Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—if we keep His Word. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you… Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John 14:15-17, 23

The problem is that many who call themselves Christian fail to study and obey the King’s Constitution (Bible). They are believers in name only, not in actions. Because of this, they fall prey to false messages and doctrines. How can they be citizens of God’s Kingdom if they don’t know God’s Constitution? They don’t know who they really are.

If you really want to know who you truly are through the Lord God’s eyes, read and study His Constitution. Learn what life in the Kingdom of God looks like. Learn what your rights and responsibilities are. Learn what He says about you! For example, as Jesus tells us:  “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in My name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it!” John 14:12-14 NLT

When you don’t know who you are, you are vulnerable to the evil one’s tricks and deceptions. What better way for Satan to deceive believers than through false religious doctrine! He uses religion, money, power and sex to deceive those who claim to know the Lord Jesus. When you claim to know the King but don’t know His Word, you will fall for whatever sounds and feels good. Ambassador Paul addresses this very thing:  For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their stomach, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.  Philippians 3:18-19

Keep this in mind, a citizen of God’s Kingdom is filled with the Governor—the Holy Spirit—and knows his priority according to God’s Word. Note that the ambassador Paul stated that “their god was their stomach”. I notice on social media many who are always posting the foods they eat and what they are cooking. But stomach represents hungers and appetites. What do you hunger and thirst after? Your focus reveals what you have an appetite for.  “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied. Matthew 5:6 AMP

Understanding who you are in His Kingdom causes you to see and think in a different way when it comes to His Constitution. Remember, the Holy Spirit—our Governor—is the key to understanding the Lord God’s Constitution. Without Him, you are operating in this world on your own strength and knowledge. Again, I say, remember what our King Jesus stated when He was here on this earth. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:15-17

Knowing who you are in God’s Kingdom causes you to become bold in His Word. You stand taller and speak more confidently. You have faith and do not doubt when you speak God’s Word and principles wherever you go! The apostles, now having the Holy Spirit residing inside of them, spoke boldly to a hostile crowd of religious people. Now it happened in Iconium that they went together to the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks believed. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brethren. Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. Acts 14:1-3

Keep this in mind, the hostility came from their own people, yet they spoke boldly because they were of a Kingdom mindset and were being led by the Holy Spirit. They knew who they were.

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
2 Timothy 4:2-4 NLT

Your Level of Faith in the King’s Word

As Kingdom citizens, we should have a deep unshakable level of faith in the King. If you are a pastor, your level of faith in the Lord Jesus should be above all others. As a leader, those that you are teaching should be able to follow your leadership. They learn the most from what you do, not what you say. You should be able to see them grow in their faith in King Jesus. He is the only one who can connect you to the Father.  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

There are many people who were born and passed away from this earth who have never elevated their faith above believing just enough to attend church, but failed to grow any further in their faith to make a difference for the Kingdom. Your faith in the King will always make a difference in how you think, act, and in your decision making. Those who follow you should want to emulate you and show the kind of faith that you represent. In times of trouble and despair, your faith should shine like a beacon for the King. When there is chaos all around, your peace and faith in Him will strengthen their faith and those who are lost will want the Lord God that you serve!

Ambassador Paul had great faith in King Jesus. He believed who was—and is—a great leader to follow. Keep in mind, when he was called Saul and was a servant of the enemy, he did all he could to have the people of King Jesus put to death. He was instrumental in the persecution of the saints. Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Acts 9:1-2

Remember, it was the leadership of Saul (who became ambassador Paul) that caused many Believers to be stoned.  When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Acts 7:54-60

The leadership of Paul—even thought it was for evil at the time while he was still called Saul—caused many people to follow him even to the point of murder. At the time, he truly believed he was doing right.

It is your faith that pleases the King.  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 This is why I always say at the end of each article that your faith in the King’s Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom. Many of those who classify themselves as Christians don’t really understand what it means to walk by faith and not by sight. Enoch is a great example of faith in the King. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5 He had the testimony that he pleased the Lord God through his faith in Him. I would say that is a great feeling to have that testimony. What better thing could you say about someone but that they pleased the Lord? As leaders we should always have a high level of faith in our King. People, seeing men and women of great faith in times of trouble, are strengthened and their faith grows!

Having faith in our King is also having trust in Him. Do you recall what King David stated in the Lord God’s Constitution? Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit  your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:1-6

Kingdom citizens who are in good standing with the King trust in Him with their very life. They never fail to seek Him first before anything or anyone else when they are in need of help or deliverance. All citizens of the Kingdom government should be walking in the Spirit—meaning by faith in His Word. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:6-7   For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18  Our troubles are temporary, but can be great faith builders if we will endure in faith! Have faith in your King!

Also, keep in mind, if you are living by your flesh you cannot please the King. He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Romans 8:4-9

Teaching the Kingdom Message

1/27/2023

First, I want to take a moment and thank my Lord and King for showing me my purpose and giving me this assignment to teach His Kingdom Gospel. This morning, He woke me up at about 4:15 AM with this message. I really appreciate my Father for allowing me to live this long to preach and teach His message, free from religious traditions. It is an honor to be able to carry this Kingdom message over the internet around the world!

In order to be “qualified” to preach and teach the Kingdom message, you first must be filled with His Spirit. Yes, I mean our Governor, the Holy Spirit. He will guide you into all truth. King Jesus said, “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” John 16:13

Note that He stated “He will guide you into all truth”. Keep in mind, the Governor—meaning he Holy Spirit—doesn’t have His own agenda, but only that of the Father. When you see men or women glorifying themselves, that is a clear sign they aren’t speaking the Lord God’s message. Again, King Jesus made that very clear to His disciples:  He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.  John 16:14

I consider myself as ambassador Paul declared of himself as being a slave of my King and Lord. As one songwriter wrote, “You’ve got to serve somebody. It may be the devil or it may be the Lord.” I am glad to report that I serve King Jesus every day of my natural life, regardless of the circumstance. People can tell who you serve by your actions, more than your words! My wife Arlene and I are faithful to our assignment. We don’t add to the Kingdom message or take away from it. If we ever stray, we pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal that to us and make a correction of our direction.

King Jesus always stayed in line with His Father’s Will. By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and My judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but Him who sent Me. John 5:30 AMP Now if the King made this statement concerning Himself, what does that say for us? He stayed true to His assignment from Heaven. “Father, if it is Your Will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My Will, but Yours, be done.”  Luke 22:42

When an employee transcribes a letter for the employer, it is entered exactly as the employer said. Nothing more and nothing less. The employee doesn’t add their opinions or what they feel needs to be said. In order for one to teach the Lord God’s Kingdom message, they must thoroughly understand the Kingdom concept. The Lord God is the Author and Finisher of His Kingdom concept. When the Lord God gives you an assignment, remember the He is the Author and stay on that assignment until He gives you something else.

Read the words King Jesus spoke to Pilate:   Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My Kingdom is not from here.” John 19:36  Kingdom citizens never concern themselves about rights and freedom while living in this world. This place on earth is temporary. That is a difference between having a Kingdom mindset and a religious mindset. This world is not our home. The things of this world are of no real consequence to us. We realize that we live in this world but aren’t of this world. We only live here for as long as our Lord and King allows.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 AMP

King Jesus made this prayer to His Father:  Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. . .  I have given them Your Word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.  And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. John 17:11, 14-19

King Jesus was speaking of His disciples, but He added us to His prayer to His Father. “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:20-23

The words of King Jesus concerning the religious Scribes and Pharisees shows us that religion has no place in God's Kingdom. We see here how Jesus felt about religion!  They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.

“Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels.  And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues. They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi.’

“Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters. And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your Father. And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah. The greatest among you must be a servant. But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either." Matthew 23:4-14 NLT
(The whole chapter is excellent! It clearly shows King Jesus' attitude  about the religious. Matthew 23)

The Lord God’s charge to His people was this:  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4:6 The same situation exists today to the self proclaimed people of faith, when they fail to read and study the Lord God’s Constitution and fail to listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit, our Governor. We need a reverence for God’s Word and never throw it around casually, using scriptures out of context to fit our personal “narrative”.

We must approach teaching and preaching the Kingdom Gospel as Jesus taught, circumspectly; with a reverential fear of the Lord God.  We should never allow ourselves to misrepresent Him or His Kingdom!

Remember, your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.

The Kingdom Message is Unique

1/20/2023

Picture
The other morning, for a brief moment, I was hit with the emotional thought that I was alone in seeing the Kingdom message. As I approached my wife in the kitchen, I shared with her that thought. (Keep in mind, when the enemy throws a stumbling block in your path, it will always be aimed at your emotions! But the Lord God will use it for your good, if you will allow Him.) Not long after, she came to me with these words:  The Kingdom of God is unique. From that point on the Governor—the Holy Spirit—began to deal with me. This is what He showed me:

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 10:22

I realized at that very moment that the evil one was making an attempt to discourage me. I recall what my Lord and King stated to His Disciples.  And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! Matthew 10:12-15 Notice He didn’t say stop and make an attempt to convince them of the Kingdom. Realize that there will be times on this earth that you will feel as if you are all alone with the Kingdom message, but you are not alone. The Holy Spirit, our Kingdom Governor, will guide you every step of the way. Let Him lead and guide you with His Kingdom message.

Remember what King Jesus said concerning the Governor. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 14:15-18 He stated that He will not leave us alone here on this earth as orphans! He also stated if you love Him and keep His commands His Father will make their home with us. He was speaking of the Governor—the Holy Spirit.

Keep in mind that the Kingdom of God and Heaven is eternal. Remember what King Jesus stated to Nicodemus. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:14-15 This is one of the reasons that the Kingdom message is unique. Jesus is also why the Kingdom message is unique. He gave His promise to us. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are One. John 10:28-30 Yes, His Father agrees with this because they are One.

Remember that the Lord God always keeps His Word and promises. Ambassador Paul made it clear when he said that the Lord God couldn’t lie. Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began. . . Titus 1:1-2 This is in agreement with the Word from the Lord God that the prophet Balaam spoke to Balak. “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.” Numbers 23:19-20

This is yet another reason why the Kingdom message is unique. He is not like mankind that He should have to lie. Whatever He speaks is Truth.

Last, but not least of all, the Kingdom message is unique because it is the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven government, come to earth through our Lord and King, Jesus the Christ. It is a message that is hard for anyone of a religious background to see. But once you see it, you cannot unsee it and your mindset is forever changed, by the power and wisdom of our Governor, the Holy Spirit!

He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.

That is why I use these parables; For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand. This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says,
‘When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend. For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes—so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to Me and let Me heal them.’

“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.” Matthew 13:11-17 NLT

Yes! Always remember that His message is unique and we, His citizens, are unique all the way down to our DNA and our fingerprints! But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light.

“Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10 NLT

Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the Word of the living God.

His Name His Reputation

12/2/2022

Picture
When you claim to know the Lord Jesus as your King and claim to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God you must consider your behavior on this earth.  The Lord God takes His reputation very seriously and will always honor His name. Our behavior reflects on Him. As citizens of God’s Kingdom we are His representatives in this world! The prophet Isaiah made it very clear when the Lord God was speaking through him. “For My name’s sake I will defer My anger, and for My praise I will restrain it from you, so that I do not cut you off. Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For My own sake, yes for My own sake, I will do it; for how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another.” Isaiah 48:9-11

I have learned to value my name and be very careful how I conduct myself both in private and in the world’s eyes.  Remember, the Lord God will always honor His promises because His name and reputation is at stake. Do you recall what He stated to Abraham? Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” . . .  And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” Genesis 12:1-3; 18:10 Notice the Lord God kept reminding Abraham of His promise to him. And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” Genesis 15:4-5

Here is where the full promise came to play:  And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. Genesis 15:6

The Lord God fulfills His promises for His name’s sake and His reputation!

We, who are of the faith of Abraham, came through the faith by believing in the Lord God’s Son, Jesus the Christ.  Our faith in Him seals it for us.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17  Keep in mind that the Lord God waited until His appointed time to fulfill His promises to Abraham, even though Abraham was 75 years old when the Lord God first promised him a son. So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Genesis 12:4 The Lord God doesn’t operate in time as we do, but in eternity. He chose 25 years to fulfill His promise to Abraham.

And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.  And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him—whom Sarah bore to him—Isaac. Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him. Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.” She also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.” Genesis 21:1-7

Read King Solomon’s words here from the Lord God’s Constitution:  A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. Loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1

Even in choosing those to handle the Lord God’s business, those whom the Lord God has called into leadership, must be full of the Holy Spirit—our Governor. We as citizens of His Kingdom must keep and guard our good name and reputation.

Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. Acts 6:1-3  Choose carefully those you place in leadership! We should be very careful in promoting others that we are being led by the Governor—Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and guide. We need to lean on and depend on Him wholeheartedly for guidance. If we are tuned in to Him, we will not make mistakes. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:13

There are times when we will come under serious attack by demonic forces, but we must stand strong in our faith in King Jesus; not faith in your religion or any other religions or leaders. Remember what King Jesus stated while He was here on earth:  “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 28:18 Also remember that His name is the key to your salvation. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 NLT

The Lord God will always honor His promises and maintain His reputation, for His name’s sake. All that He asks is that we believe wholeheartedly in His Son. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:12-14

He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Psalm 23:3

For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Psalm 25:11

For You are my rock and my fortress; therefore, for Your name’s sake, lead me and guide me. Psalm 31:3

Remember, your faith in the Lord Jesus is your greatest asset in God’s Kingdom.

He Will Have Nothing Before Him

11/4/2022

PicturePriorities
The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.  And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 NLT That command from the Lord God holds true to this very day, nothing has changed concerning what He requires. God is eternal and unchanging. So is His Word!

As children of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, loving the Lord God is our first priority. Along with that is seeking His Kingdom. There should be nothing or no one we prioritize before our King and Lord; not even our children, wife, family or any religious person. For example, I have seen in recent times, mothers and fathers praising their children for their accomplishments more than they praise the Father for all He has done. Keep in mind that the Lord God is a jealous God. We see our children as a blessing from the Lord God, but they are actually our assignment—possibly our greatest assignment—from Him. But that assignment must never take precedence over the One who gave it. Do you recall what the Lord God stated in Exodus to His people, Israel? You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:5-6 Also, keep this Word in your thoughts:  For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Deuteronomy 4:24 For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God Exodus 34:14  I am speaking on this because we have become too comfortable with our image of the Lord God and forget the Father proclaimed in His Word several times that He will not tolerate anything to be worshipped before Him. Remember that in a kingdom nothing has priority over the king. Also remember that all of His Words are still true today, as the Old Testament gives us a clear image of the character of the Lord God.

Once you begin to see this, you will see more clearly what you, and others, worship above the Lord God. For example, most secular songs seem to be focused on women. This can be a form of worship. Is sex placed above the Lord God? Something to think about! His laws and principles are still the same. Remember what He told Joshua to tell His people:  Then Joshua warned the people, “You are not able to serve the Lord, for He is a holy and jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins;  If you abandon the Lord and serve other gods, He will turn against you and destroy you, even though He has been so good to you.” Joshua 24:19-20 NLT

We cannot put the Lord God “up on a shelf” and bring Him out at our convenience, when we have a need. Recently, I heard it described as people who look at Him as their “genie in the lamp”. Good description! Rub the lamp and make a wish. No! He must be first if you want the greatest results of your faith in Him. Daily I am learning to put the Lord God first in my life. I love my wife, my children and my loved ones but King Jesus and His Father are first in my life. When something troubles me, the first one I contact is the Lord God, in Jesus name. He is my Creator and knows all about me, even more than I know myself.  The Lord is my light and my salvation;  Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? . . . One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:  That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. . . . When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me. Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Psalm 27:1, 4, 10-11

King Jesus made this statement:  “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord].” Matthew 6:24 AMP

He created you and blessed you with all that you have, whether great or small. And He gave you an assignment, a purpose, for living! If you put Him first in your daily life, He will make you a priority, as King Jesus stated:  But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:33-34

What have you allowed to take precedence in you life? The Lord God doesn’t say that we can’t have things or love people, but only to put Him and His Kingdom first above all.

But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.

Under the King’s Protection

5/27/2022

Picture
When you are a citizen of the Kingdom of the Lord God, you are forever in His divine protection. Your faith in the Lord God’s Word is crucial to His protection. Have faith and believe that He is a rewarder to those who believe and trust in Him!  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

As a citizen, always stay focused on His Word. His Word is the foundation on which our faith is built. It is your faith that pleases the King, not your sacrifice or doing good works while here on this earth. Your faith in His Word will drive you to search and seek out all you can about the will of the King for your life. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21

When you are led by the Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—you are forever protected. Some will embrace this but others are blinded to it. If you are being guided by our Governor, you can never be misled or misguided. I can speak of this because I am an example of this and have experienced it! I am a living example, you can reference to. I wasn’t always like this but when I allowed the Word to lead and guide me, my life changed. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Romans 8:12-14 NLT  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

When Abraham obeyed the Lord God’s word, His protection came with that obedience. Abraham believed the Lord God. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Hebrews 11:8-10 It was because of Abraham’s faith and obedience that the Gentile has become part of the family and are citizens of the King.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.  I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:1-3 NLT

When you stay in the Lord God’s Constitution and fill yourself up with His Word, you can say just as King David said, “I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.” Psalm 37:25

If you are worried about the food shortages we are having in this world’s government systems and you are a Kingdom citizen, my question to you is, “Why are you concerned or worried?”. Why concern yourself with the troubles of this present world? Where is your faith in your Lord and King? What kingdom fills your mind? Make up your mind where your faith is and what you really believe. “So fear the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone. But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:14-15 NLT

Stand on the King’s promises! Psalm 91 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they hall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. (vs 7-12)

When you feel doubt and fear, get into His Word and remind yourself of who He is and all of His commands to His citizens. “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:25-33

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly Kingdom. 2 Timothy 4:18

In Your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall. God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength and He makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:29-32 NLT

Remember, your faith in the Lord God’s Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom. It is your greatest defense against the things of this world!

Sharing His Throne

5/19/2022

Picture
This is the promise King Jesus made to those who endure until His return:  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21

We have everything we need to overcome the powers of this world. Remember what John stated in God’s Constitution:  But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 1 John 4:4 NLT We have the power within us when we have the Holy Spirit residing in us.

His last item in the Kingdom was that we should be perfect in His love, as the Father is perfect in love. We can only accomplish this through our Governor—the Holy Spirit. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 1 John 4:12-13

The question arises then, how do you know that you are on the right track to the Kingdom? Our answer comes from His Word:  Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
1 John 2:3-6

This is why I will always encourage you to read and study the Lord God’s Constitution. It is your very life. When you don’t know His Word, you will be deceived by false teachers and the world. Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception. 1 John 4:5-6 NLT  Remember again that King Jesus has promised us eternal life as well as sharing His throne.

Keep in mind that when ambassador John makes the statement “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” he is speaking of our Governor—the Holy Spirit. The King gave us His promise of the Holy Spirit.  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.  John 14:16-17 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:25-26

Yes, it is imperative that we read, study and obey His Word, for His Word is our life. It is nourishment, it is life-giving! It is strength to overcome this world’s system, control and all of its pleasure. This world thrives on its pleasures and entertainment. None of it is glorifying to the King of Heaven and earth. It seeks to thwart your purpose and ability to be an overcomer.  It is King Jesus’ obedience to His Father God that caused Him to receive His throne.  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11

The Lord God always requires obedience from His citizens and children. Even the Lord God’s Son had to learn obedience through suffering.  Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. Hebrews 5:8-9

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:15

As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. John 15:9-10

Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:17-19

We can see that the King of Heaven and earth won’t tolerate any citizen of His Kingdom to operate in a lackadaisical, or careless and lazy, lifestyle. When speaking to John in the Constitution, He made this statement to those who are lukewarm: These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Revelation 3:14-16

Therefore, as through one man’s(Adam) offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:18-19

Those who are overcomers by their obedience to the King’s Word will share His throne.

“Now salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:10-11

Remember what I always say, your faith in the Lord God’s Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom!

Following Our Governor’s Lead

5/6/2022

Picture
As a Kingdom citizen, following the lead of the Governor is the safest thing you could ever do. When you follow the lead of the Governor—the Holy Spirit—you can never be misled or misguided.

By the way, He is the most important person on this earth.

It was so important for His followers to wait that King Jesus commanded them to wait at Jerusalem until the governor came and baptized them with power. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;  for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:4-5

When a person is following the leading of the Holy Spirit—our Governor—they will never make a mistake or error. Our mistakes only come when we make decisions in our flesh. When you love the King’s Word, you will keep His commands and He will guide you to all truth. By the way, the Governor dwells in your mortal body and will be with you forever. Read what King Jesus stated to His disciples:  “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”  John 14:15-17   Keep in mind that He is known by several descriptions, such as Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Counselor, depending on the version you are reading. But they are all referring to the Holy Spirit--our Governor in the Kingdom.

If you submit to the King’s commands, the Governor will definitely lead you in the right direction. Following the Governor’s lead will always lead you to victory and God’s will for your life, whatever the situation. He is essential to living a victorious life in the Lord God’s Kingdom. The Governor will warn you and lead you away from sin. When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring Me glory by telling you whatever He receives from Me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever He receives from Me.’” John 16:13-15 NLT

Remember that those who are led by the Spirit are known to the King as His children. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:13-14

Those of us who have the Holy Spirit residing in our body trust in the Lord God and have no fear of what the world’s system can do to us. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Romans 8:15-21

Being led by the Spirit is a very comforting feeling to have; knowing that you are in the King’s perfect will and being guided by the Governor. I must say, following the leading of the Holy Spirit gives a calm assurance.  “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:25-27

How can we know when someone is being guided by the Governor? This is what being led by the Spirit looks like:

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to His cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. Galatians 5:22-26 NLT

Once again, remember your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.

Representing His Name

4/22/2022

Picture
The other day, after taking my wife to work, I saw a young man that I admire very much. He is a son of a pastor who is known widely throughout the area. My wife Arlene introduced him to me several years ago. I find magnetism in his smile and he and I always have a pleasant conversation. He is a likeable young man and a credit to his family.

The Governor—the Holy Spirit—had me share with him the importance of representing his name. Our conversations are always brief but inspiring. He is always respectful and listens like a faithful student. I mentioned to him how important it is to properly represent the family name. I told him to always keep that thought in mind; that whatever he does in life, he is representing his family.

The same holds especially true in the Kingdom of the Lord God. We are ambassadors of our Lord God’s Kingdom. For us to get tangled up in this world’s affairs is wrong and shameful. Ambassador Paul made it clear. We are ambassadors for King Jesus. What we say and do matters!  So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT Remember that the Lord God values His name.

Even now as I write this article, there are citizens of the Kingdom going through persecution in different parts of the world just for mentioning the name of the Lord Jesus. There is power in the name of the Lord Jesus and that stirs up the enemy! Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

Remember this, when you live according to the King’s Word, you represent Him well. There are many people who claim to represent the King and yet they are enemies of the cross of Christ. But as Kingdom citizens, we are a long way from home. Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example. For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior. Philippians 3:17-20 NLT

Yes, our citizenship is not on this earth, but in heaven. If you are a citizen of a country on this earth, that is one thing, but if you are a citizen of the Kingdom of God that is a completely different thing. One is temporary and the other is eternal. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Mark 13:31

Keep in mind that the Lord is concerned about how we represent His Son and His name. King David wrote: For You are my rock and my fortress; therefore, for Your name’s sake, lead me and guide me. . . Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; and deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins, for Your name’s sake! . . . Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, that He might make His mighty power known. Psalm 31:3, 79:9, 106:8 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10

How you represent the King in your daily life is quite important to Him. We are to represent Him according to His Word, not according to the world’s standards. How many people have rejected King Jesus because of Kingdom citizens who have misrepresented His and His name? The world’s perception of Jesus is formed by those who proclaim to represent Him.

Instruct the young as well as the old if they want to change their lifestyle, and represent His name well, read what God’s Constitution states:  How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have  declared all the judgments of Your mouth.

I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; will not forget Your Word.

Deal bountifully with Your servant, that I may live and keep Your Word. Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law. I am a stranger in the earth; do not hide Your commandments from me. Psalm 119:9-19

Represent His name well. It is our responsibility as Kingdom citizens.

Remember your greatest asset is your faith in the King.

The King Stands Sovereign

Picture
What king am I speaking of? King Jesus, who has been given all authority by His Father, the Lord God. Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Matthew 28:18 AMP

Keep in mind, while King Jesus was doing His Kingdom government assignment, He needed no assistance from mankind. Listen to what the King said in response to John the Baptist when he inquired if He was the King or not: Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities. And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” Matthew 11:1-6

He didn’t need any help in raising the dead or healing the sick or opening the eyes of the blind. He is God and King all by Himself. He answers to no man or created thing, only to His Father God. Remember what the Lord God stated to Isaiah in His constitution.  Thus says God the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it:

“I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house. I am the Lord, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images.” Isaiah 42:5-8

When the Lord God was refining His people—Israel—read what He said:  “For My name’s sake I will defer My anger, and for My praise I will restrain it from you, so that I do not cut you off. Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; for how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another. Isaiah 48:9-11

In this day and age, with all of the modern technology, I find many Believers share the credit for their healing and good fortune with doctors; or that they have money and possessions because of their abilities, rather than giving glory to the Lord God. Too easily they forget that they don’t own anything but that it all belongs to the King. “O My people, listen as I speak. Here are My charges against you, O Israel:
I am God, your God! I have no complaint about your sacrifices or the burnt offerings you constantly offer. But I do not need the bulls from your barns or the goats from your pens. For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are Mine.” Psalm 50:7-11 NLT He was speaking to His people, Israel, but He is the same God and King with the same principles, the same character. He didn’t change after sending His Son to earth. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Sovereign:
  1) Above or superior to all others; chief; greatest; supreme 2) Supreme in power, rank or authority 3) Holding the position of ruler; royalty; reigning 4) Independent of all others 5) Excellent; outstanding. Yes, King Jesus is all of those things! He is also the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. On His robe at His thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords. Revelations 19:16 NLT

How strong is your faith? Why do we run to mankind when we are in a crisis—whether it is health, finances or emotional—rather than King Jesus. Why do we think the creation can help us more than the creator? Remember what King Jesus said:  “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him.” Matthew 7:7-11 NLT

Let me remind you, there is a place in the Kingdom where you can have all your needs met, but it is operated by the strength of your total faith in the King. Do you recall what King Jesus stated to those who were healed and delivered from their illness and affliction?  When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.” Matthew 9:27-30

Here, a woman who wasn’t a Jew demonstrated her faith in King Jesus:  Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.”

But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.”

But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”

But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Matthew 15:21-28

The question I ask is how deep is your faith in the King and not your religion or the people and things of this world. Why is the Lord God the world’s last resort when all man has to offer fails them? How often have we heard, “Well, all we can do is pray.” Why would you need to do anything else? Our heavenly Father should always be our first resort, not our last resort! I say “All we need to do is pray!” Take it to King Jesus and leave it with Him.

Yes, remember that your greatest asset is your faith in King Jesus.

The Lord God is a Jealous King

3/4/2022

Picture
The Lord God wants to be first in our lives and the One you spend most of your time with. He desires for our thoughts to be of Him and that we want to spend time with Him through God’s constitution and prayer. If we do, our faith in the Lord God will grow. You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. Isaiah 26:3 AMP

When the King brought His people, Israel, out of the land of Egypt, His first command was this: And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:1-6

Note these words “For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God” We should give those words serious consideration. These words from our Lord and King are a top priority for Kingdom citizens. He is our life source and He has commanded us to do so. For you shall not worship any other god; for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely His] Exodus 34:14 AMP

Keep in mind that even though He was speaking concerning His people, the children of Israel, it appliers to us in this present day. His laws and standards haven’t changed. Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:17-19 NLT

It is so easy to get caught up in the activities of this world. We get caught up in sports and entertainment. We unknowingly spend more time watching our favorite sports or entertainment “stars” than studying God’s constitution. As citizens of the Kingdom of God we must always be mindful of what the Lord God’s constitution says concerning our behavior and His true place in our lives. Religious believers are no less likely to get caught up and distracted by politics, entertainment and sports than the world. It is time to evaluate our lives, where our focus is and where our precious time is spent!

There are many individuals who claim to know the Lord God, but don’t make Him first priority in their lives. Without that, He is not truly Lord of their life. Money and our pursuit of riches take precedence over the Lord God and His Kingdom.  Do you recall what King Jesus stated? No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money. Matthew 6:24 NLT

The God we serve is a jealous God. We cannot argue with that because He said it! For the Lord your God is a consuming fire; He is a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely His]. Deuteronomy 4:24 AMP Too many people who claim to know and love the Lord God worship things made by mankind and even man himself. They worship the created things and not the Creator Himself! Many love their animals more than the King of Heaven and earth. Many choose to worship those in Hollywood, sports, politics and relationships even to the point of memorializing the dead to the point of idolatry.  Paul spoke of it:  Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Romans 1:21-25
Remember what is stated in His constitution. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:18

Even ministry may become an idol! Often those in a ministry are so caught up in "doing ministry" and making things happen that the Lord gets pushed to the side because they are "doing it for Jesus" and consider everything they do their worship. But I ask, When did you last focus on the Lord God and spend time in prayer and praise and when did you last read God's Word to hear from the Holy Spirit and not to prepare a sermon? When did you last just focus on His goodness to you and praise Him for it? If your ministry is overwhelmingly hard and "sucks the life out of you" it's time to evaluate whether the Lord God is really first in your life and exactly what He has called you to do. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NLT

Mankind has made ministry and church look far more like man than God. This is ministry:

Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.  Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of His body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:12-16 NLT

Ask yourself these questions: Is the Lord God truly first in your life? What takes precedence above Him? Are there any idols in your life?

Again, I remind you that your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.

The Most Important Person on Earth Part 2

11/12/2021

Picture
While King Jesus was down here on this earth, He taught those whom He had chosen to be His disciples. What did He teach them? It wasn’t religion or politics. It was His Kingdom principles and how to live here on earth as a Kingdom citizen. He also told His disciples that if they loved Him He would ask His Father to send them another comforter after He left this earth. “If you love Me, keep My commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:15-17 Note that King Jesus stated He will be with you forever; and He called the Holy Spirit the Spirit of Truth. Keep in mind that this world cannot receive Him because it doesn’t know Him. Ambassador Paul made it very clear when he told the Corinthian believers “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4

In John 14:17 the word world is not necessarily referring to the people, but to the world system or mindset. It is a system based on the kingdom of darkness that influences the behavior of the people on this earth. Keep in mind, it is the Governor who convicts those outside of the Kingdom that they need to be forgiven and connected to the Lord God in the heavenly Kingdom government. It is the Governor—meaning the Holy Spirit for those who are reading this term for the first time—who works through your conscience so that you will choose to live according to His Kingdom standards.

It is vital that we stay in the Lord God’s constitution so that we will know the King’s perfect will for our lives. Our whole body and mind should be made subject to the will of the Lord God. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2

You must understand this one thing:  Our Governor is not given to us to take over our lives by force. He prompts us and gives us wisdom, but never forces us to do what we don’t want to do. In other words, our Governor makes all Kingdom citizens conscious of the expectations, standards, laws, regulations and customs of the Kingdom. That is one reason that the Lord Jesus made this statement to His disciples:  “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today." Matthew 6:33-34 NLT

Remember, Father God isn’t in the business of controlling His citizens. He wants His citizens to desire what He desires. Our Governor respects our will. He shows you what the Father’s Will is and assists you in fulfilling it as you look to Him for wisdom. Without the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are not wise enough, strong enough, or holy enough, to be a citizen in right-standing in God’s Kingdom. It is only through His Spirit, sent to govern our lives as we submit to Him.

The following verses tell us why the Holy Spirit is the “Most important person on earth”:

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness,  because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:7-15

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5

Always remember, your greatest asset in the Kingdom is your faith in His Word.

The Fundamentals of Kingdom Principles

10/21/2021

Picture
Fundamental: The foundation; basis; essential; primary or most important. In reference to God’s Kingdom principles, its foundation, its very essence, is the Lord God’s constitution, His Word.

Anyone who listens to My teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.  Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears My teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash. Matthew 7:24-27 NLT This is why I stress reading and studying the King’s decrees each and every day. With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. Psalm 119:10-12

We should speak He Word over our life and lifestyle. It is by His Word that we live and prosper. The fundamentals of the principles of His Kingdom are to make His Word your lifestyle. It is the foundation on which we may confidently build our life. This may only be accomplished by knowing and being obedient to His commands. Remember that the Lord Jesus isn’t a religious figure or a symbol of a religion called Christianity. He is, now and forever, a King ruling over His Kingdom.

In order for us to get in the place that the Lord God wants us to be, we must first put aside all the religious traditions and customs and focus on His Kingdom government as if it were the first time we ever heard of God’s constitution. Change your perspective and get a fresh understanding of what King Jesus was teaching. Do you recall what He stated to His disciples when the question, who was the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven, was asked?  At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 18:1-4

Remember, this is a fallen world and when we are born again by His Spirit, we must start all over again. We must learn to humble ourselves to the Holy Spirit—our Governor.  “Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 18:4

Before I could speak or write about the Kingdom, I first had to acquire a Kingdom mindset and that was a process. I am consistently humbling myself to His Word. It is an ongoing process. When you do that, the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom and understanding and you will see things as you’ve never seen them before as you read and study. In order to grow in the Kingdom, you first must learn how to follow instructions, something King Saul didn’t do well. Now the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying, “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.”

And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the Lord all night. So when Samuel rose early in the morning to meet Saul, it was told Samuel, saying, “Saul went to Carmel, and indeed, he set up a monument for himself; and he has gone on around, passed by, and gone down to Gilgal.” Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the Lord! I have performed the commandment of the Lord.”

But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?”

And Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the Lord your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.” Then Samuel said to Saul, “Be quiet! And I will tell you what the Lord said to me last night.” And he said to him, “Speak on.” 1 Samuel 15:10-16

A fundamental principle in the Kingdom is to be obedient; His Way, not ours. Keep in mind what the Lord God stated to Saul through His representative Samuel:  “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the Word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” 1 Samuel 15:22-23

Your idea—your plan—will never be as good as God’s plan! Sometimes we get so caught up in the way we want to do something that when the Holy Spirit tells us another way we are too proud of our plans to humble ourselves and submit to His Way. We are so blinded by what we know that we can’t be taught by the Holy Spirit!  “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.  “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

A Kingdom mind filled with His Word, a submissive heart, and a humble spirit are essential and fundamental principles in the Kingdom of God. That is a citizen who will hear and be led by the Holy Spirit. That is a citizen of the Kingdom that the King will use!

Remember, your faith in King Jesus is your most valuable asset in the Kingdom.

Discovering Your Purpose

10/9/2021

Picture
To know the Lord God’s purpose for your life, you first must study and seek to be obedient to His Word above anything else. Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the Word of Truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 AMP

The Lord God instructed Saul through Samuel, His representative, to destroy all the Amalekites, even the children, infants, cattle, sheep, camels and donkeys. Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey. 1 Samuel 15:3 That may seem extreme, but that is what He commanded Saul to do. He didn’t tell him to “use his own judgment, as if Saul knew better than the Lord God!

Then the Lord God gave Samuel a word for King Saul:   So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel? Now the Lord sent you on a mission, and said, ‘Go, and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are consumed.’ Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord? Why did you swoop down on the spoil, and do evil in the sight of the Lord?” 1 Samuel 15:17-19

Keep in mind that the Lord God wants complete obedience to His Word, not a partial response. He wants man to trust Him and freely obey Him, even down to what may seem as the smallest detail. But Saul and his people thought they knew better than the Lord God and could make good use of that livestock.  And Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and gone on the mission on which the Lord sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.” 1 Samuel 15:20-21 Remember, the Lord God told him to destroy all. Here is the Lord God’s response to Saul through His prophet Samuel:  So Samuel said:  “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” 1 Samuel 15:22-23

Now, concerning our top priority in discovering your God given purpose in life, King Jesus made it quite clear when He was speaking to His disciples. He started out by telling them not to worry and what their priority should be:  Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?  Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:25-34

Once you are obedient to His Word you will not have to pursue your purpose. The Lord and King will reveal it to you as He did to ambassador Paul. He first will get your total attention, and then He will give you what you need to live in victory in this world. He gives you the Holy Spirit—our Governor in the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit is the extension of the Lord God, sent to lead and guide those who love and obey God’s Word. King Jesus told His disciples about the Holy Spirit:  And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth,  whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:13-17

Discovering the Lord God’s purpose for your life hinges on your priorities. Your priority is not to seek your purpose, but to seek God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. To do that, you must seek His Word and His rightness by desiring to be obedient to His constitution. When you desire His righteousness for your life above everything else, you will know the assignment He placed on your life. As Jesus told us, our Father will take care of everything else.

As He told the woman who said to bless His mother who bore Him:  But He said, “On the contrary, blessed (happy, favored by God) are those who hear the Word of God and continually observe it.” Luke 11:28 AMP This is our priority and focus. And don’t worry about tomorrow either! (Matthew 6:34)

Remember, your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.

Having Radical Faith in His Word

8/21/2021

Picture
What do I mean by the word “radical”? Today, when people hear that word, they equate it with “extremists” and even terrorists. But to me radical faith is an extreme unwavering faith that the Lord God does what He says in His Word. The proper definition relates to the root of something: relating to, or proceeding from a root; designed to remove the root of a disease or all diseased and potentially diseased tissue as in having “radical surgery”. So then, radical faith is getting to the root of God’s Word and all He has for us and that brings a radical change in our lives! Radical faith also is like the ‘radical surgery’ mentioned above, that gets to the root of our sin and removes it. That is what it takes in the Kingdom. This is a process to reach that point. We live in a fallen world and it is full of disobedience to the Lord God’s Word. In other words, it is full of sin—because all disobedience is sin. Those who live sinful lives are disobeying God. Sin is disobedience. 1 John 3:4 GWT

Your faith is all you need to live a victorious life while you are here on this earth. So we may just as well become radical in our faith in the Lord Jesus. Understand this, when a physician examines, he totally believes in what he is doing. He is sold out to science. We as citizens of the Kingdom should be sold out to the infallibility of the Lord God’s Word—meaning His promises to His people. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT

Yes! The Lord God’s promises were fulfilled in Christ! It is time His citizens of the Kingdom move up higher in our faith and become what He has designed us to be! When we were born again with His Holy Spirit, we not only became citizens of the Kingdom, but also children of the most high God. Read ambassador Paul’s words: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Romans 8:14-16 Keep this in the forefront of your mind, that just as the physicians are dedicated to science and their profession, we as Kingdom citizens should be dedicated to our Lord and King. . . dedicated to His Word. We are children of the most high King, heirs and co-heirs with our Lord Jesus.  If children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Romans 8:17

We should always be encouraged. We will be forever with our King! That is one of the reasons we should be radical with His Word in our lives! Believe His Word to the fullest regardless what the enemy throws at us. Nothing will shake us, nothing will move us away from this life in His Kingdom! Remember we are fighting a spiritual battle. Remember what ambassador Paul stated to the saints at Corinth.  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Keep in mind, that because we live in a fallen world, it is a process to reach the level of faith in His Word that is needed; some longer than others. Some have greater spiritual battles than others. The important thing is to be ever moving forward, always growing in faith. Know that along the way, your faith will be tested and tried. It will make you stronger. Radical faith is strong and never moved by circumstances. It is bold! Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" Jeremiah 32:27

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:22-24

Remember your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.

Kingdom Citizens Be Encouraged

8/14/2021

Having confidence that we are citizens of the Lord God's government is a great encouragement, regardless of any situation. His Word stands strong in our lives! Keep in mind what King Jesus stated to His disciples, which still applies to us today. “If you love Me, obey My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:15-17 NLT Those words are very important because King Jesus will always keep His promise. That is a great reason to have a smile on your face and be encouraged!

Remember, the Lord God is in no way like mankind. Do you recall what the Lord God said to His representative, Balaam? You see, Balak wanted Balaam to curse the Lord God's people, Israel--the children of promise. Read what Balaam stated to Balak, the prince of Moab:  Then the Lord met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, “Go back to Balak, and thus you shall speak.”

So he came to him, and there he was, standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab were with him. And Balak said to him, “What has the Lord spoken?” Then he took up his oracle and said:  “Rise up, Balak, and hear! Listen to me, son of Zippor! “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:16-19

Ambassador Paul confirmed these very words concerning the Lord God's credibility. This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began. Titus 1:2 NLT Keep in mind that the Lord God always keeps His Word! The promises of the King are always intact. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20 That alone is a great encouragement to stand firm on His Word.

We, as Kingdom citizens, should always be encouraged and not allow the enemy to keep doubt in our minds. You'll notice I stated "keep doubt in our minds". The enemy will bring doubt, but we have the power to keep it out of our minds. We have the power to guard our minds through the Holy Spirit. With every thought that comes, we choose whether to reject or embrace that thought. King Jesus promised us the Governor--the Holy Spirit--and He fulfilled that promise. The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”  Acts 1:1-5
Keep in mind, when the Governor came to those who were in the upper room, He came with clarity and power.  When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1-4

There were several occasions while King Jesus was here on earth that He promised to send us the Holy Spirit--our Governor--if we were obedient to His Word. On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Acts 5:32

Essentially, there is no reason in the Kingdom to be discouraged because the Holy Spirit in you is greater than any discouragement! Do not allow your heart or emotions to govern your life. Study the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to govern your life and decisions.  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 3:18-20, 4:4

Remember, your faith in the King's Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.

Divided Loyalty

7/3/2021

Picture
The gospel of the Kingdom of God was the only message that King Jesus preached. At every opportunity, He reiterated its exclusive nature. The Lord Jesus never taught or preached any other gospel message but the Kingdom of His Father’s government. His message was exclusive. Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.”

And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

Then He said to another, “Follow Me.”

But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the Kingdom of God.”

And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.”

But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.” Luke 9:57-62

How often do you make a commitment to the Lord God or anyone else without first considering the cost to you in the long run—time, energy, money, priorities, commitments or inconveniences?

Why do we make commitments without first counting the cost of that commitment? We have not settled in our minds what is our main focus and number one priority! That opens us up to attempting to be “loyal” to many different things, pulling us in many directions. Have you heard the phrase “Jack of all trades, master of none”?

When you have divided loyalties, you fail to focus on your number one priority. When you have a number one priority, you know where to start first.  You also know when to say no and what to put aside. Our King Jesus told us what our first priority was to be: But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33  Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. Luke 12:22-31

If we want the Lord God’s best, we must learn to be obedient and focused on His commands. When we are laser-focused on His Word there isn’t any room for anything else. There are many who listen to the Word and read and study His constitution but fail to put it into practice in their lives. They have the knowledge but still have divided loyalties and weak commitments. Read what King Jesus said to a woman who called out to Him, giving a compliment:  And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”

But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!” Luke 11:27-28

Focus Point
:  Do you recall what the Lord Jesus stated to the crowd as He taught them? “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24 The Lord Jesus gave us only one responsibility to adhere to:  Seek His Kingdom first. That is the priority to this very day.

There are many individuals who follow the Lord Jesus, and some who are seeking the Kingdom of God, for what they hope to receive. If so, what they hope to receive is their first priority and where their loyalty lies. This is the exact opposite of the correct motivation, according to the Lord Jesus. The Kingdom of the Lord God isn’t a “bless me club”. We get it backwards! We don’t follow the Lord God to get Him to pay our bills. We follow Him because He is our Lord, King and Creator!

Focus Point:  The Kingdom priority is also our first priority in regard to our biological family and our relationships. Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him, but they couldn’t get to Him because of the crowd. Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, and they want to see You.”

Jesus replied, “My mother and My brothers are all those who hear God’s Word and obey it.” Luke 9:19-21 NLT

Then He said to another, “Follow Me.”

But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the Kingdom of God.” Luke 9:59-60  The Lord Jesus called a man who appeared to be willing to follow Him, but the man wanted to wait until after he buried His father. Keep in mind that the man felt bound by his social, legal and moral obligations to care for his parents. According to Jewish culture, to dishonor one’s parents was a gross sin. Honoring one’s parents is so important that the Lord God established it as the fifth commandment. Only the commandment to honor the Lord God is more important.

Focus Point:  Notice again how the Lord Jesus responded to the man’s request in verse 60:  Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the Kingdom of God.”

The Lord Jesus was simply stating that no priority takes precedence over the priority of the Lord God’s Kingdom government. The Kingdom is more important than family, friends, career or personal ambitions. In essence nothing is more important then the Kingdom of God!

Remember, your faith in the Lord God’s Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.

Our First Priority--Seek the Kingdom!

6/12/2021

Picture
Seeking the Lord God’s Kingdom is our number one mandate. Some of you probably think I say that too often. But it is truly the only way to an abundant Kingdom life! Everything else falls under it. Seek His Kingdom and His righteousness! As far as I am concerned, when the Lord Jesus made the following statement, He caused a spiritual earthquake:

Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25  These are the very things we work and labor for. When He made that statement, He turned the culture and society on their ears. With those brief words, King Jesus stripped us of everything we thought was important. For example—Food, drink, clothing, shelter, automobiles, finances, luxuries—are just a few of the things we as people live for. These are the things we get out of bed for on a daily basis. They may be things we need, but they are not what we are to seek after. They are not to be our focus and first priority. By the way, these are the very things that, if we seek the Kingdom first, we wouldn’t have to concern ourselves with, because the King will provide for us. We only first have to obey and seek His Kingdom. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Please note
:  All of the things that are mentioned are for the exterior—the flesh—not for the spirit of man. It is the pursuit of all these things that drive humanity and its cultures. Yet these are the very things the King stated we shouldn’t live for.

Please note:  The King has an obligation to take care of His citizens. He will supply all of our needs. Trust Him. Ambassador Paul made that very clear in his letter to the Philippians. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 Remember that the Lord Jesus told us to not even worry about those things. Are you aware that worrying is nothing more than doubt and a lack of faith? Doubt brings on anxiety and hinders our belief in the Lord God’s constitution.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6 James goes on to say, For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:7-8 Ouch!  Did you feel that one? That one stings!

Focus point:  When the Lord Jesus made the statement concerning His Father’s Kingdom, He stripped away all of our confusing energy-draining, deceptive, distracting, misleading and misplaced priorities. He left us with one simple focus—seeking the Kingdom of the Lord God and His righteousness! In doing so, He also gave us the key to a simpler and fulfilling life.

The Lord Jesus said that when we make the Kingdom of the Lord God our first priority, all these other things that we have been pursuing will turn around and pursue us! When are we going to get a clue? Those things will chase us down. This is the fundamental principle of the Lord God’s Kingdom. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. This is one of the simplest statement in God’s constitution, yet it is one of the least to be obeyed. Keep in mind, we are possessed by our quest for things and what many call “the good life” and “happiness”. While the Lord God is looking for Kingdom minded citizens, possessed with His Holy Spirit.

Please note:  All who seek the Kingdom of God and make it a priority gain access to all the King’s riches and His resources. We own nothing, but He gives His people access. You will never have to settle for scraps. You are a child of the King and a citizen of His Kingdom! Even though we live here in this three dimensional world, our real home—our citizenship—is in the Lord God’s Kingdom. Read what ambassador Paul said:  For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior. Philippians 3:18-20

Kingdom citizens don’t just live on this earth to make a living or a paycheck. They have an assignment from the King and work for the Kingdom. Always remember that no matter who signs your paychecks, as a citizen of the Kingdom, your Lord and King is your source.

Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.

No doubt!

King Jesus Came to Complete the Law

5/29/2021

Picture
While speaking to a crowd, the Lord Jesus made this statement concerning fulfillment of God's Law: “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets.

For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20

The word fulfill is defines as, 1. To bring something to its full understanding 2. To give a complete and full essence of a thing. 3. To fill the full requirement or to show the complete thought. Now, what I am about to write may have some of you on the edge of your seats, but don’t worry as I will back it up with God’s Constitution. Keep in mind also, that the Lord Jesus came to fulfill or to complete the Law.

The Lord Jesus came to bring the true and complete essence to the law. The New Covenant was the complete intent of His Father’s Will. But what about the Old Covenant? Well, it has become obsolete. Now read what it says in Hebrews:  For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. Hebrews 8:7-13

Please note:
I have stated before that the Old Testament displays the Lord God’s standards and principles. It reveals His character and that will never change.

Keep in mind, when the Lord God was speaking of tithes, He was speaking to Malachi concerning the children of Israel. What do these scriptures say about the Lord God's character? He wants our obedience above all. He wants us to honor and worship Him with the things that matter most to us. He wants to be first in our lives; and He will bless us and be abundantly generous with us. “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.  Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the Lord of hosts; “And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:8-12

Please note
: That is the most commonly used scripture in the Lord God’s Constitution to encourage church members to give. If we take some serious time to study the first four accounts of the Lord Jesus while He was here on earth, we will never find where He commands the people to pay tithes. What King Jesus commanded was that we “give” to the poor and needy. Read what He said to the rich young ruler:   Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”

So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

He said to Him, “Which ones?”

Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”

Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Matthew 19:16-21

What we don’t hear is to pay tithes or even to give to the church; but only “giving to the poor". When we have the right understanding and are being led by the Holy Spirit, we will realize that we OWN nothing. The Lord God has given us ACCESS to all that we need.

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. Acts 4:32-35

Please note
:  There was no needy people among them when they had finished giving. Also note that no one claimed anything as his own. In essence, the people of the Lords God supported and took care of their fellow Believers, but too often this isn’t the case here on earth. If a church is following King Jesus’ instructions, there would be no one lacking in a home, food, clothing, etc. in the church. In Acts, the people brought their offerings to the church and the leaders gave it to those who had a need. We are told to be generous to others. We as citizens of the Kingdom are commanded to love one another and love is an action verb, which often involves giving!

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 These things I command you, that you love one another. John 15:17

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. Romans 12:10

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8

Remember, your faith in the King is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.
