For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:10-16
King Jesus wasn't sent here to this earth to bring another religion called Christianity. The name Christian is man's name for those Believers who embraced the King. Keep in mind, the people first started giving the disciples that name at the city of Antioch. Then Barnabas went on to Tarsus to look for Saul. When he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. Both of them stayed there with the church for a full year, teaching large crowds of people. (It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians.) Acts 11:25-26 Notice that neither Paul nor Barnabas called themselves Christians. It was the people who first gave them that name. I say that if you allow people to name you they will define you. Always remember that we aren't another religious group. We are citizens of a celestial government. Ambassador Paul made the following statement while addressing the saints in Philippi: Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example. For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior. Philippians 3:17-20
Know who you are in the Kingdom and that your King will supply all your needs! And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 NKJV Keep in mind that Paul stated that He would supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory. He never said that you should seek after riches. I am a witness and can testify that He has always supplied all my needs according to His riches.
Keep in mind that God the Father and Jesus the Son are one. King Jesus made that perfectly clear when speaking to His Father. Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given Me your name; now protect them by the power of Your name so that they will be united just as We are...I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one—as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me.
I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me. John 17:11, 21-23 That being the case, why would the King add another religion knowing that religion separates His people? If there is only one way to the Lord God by Jesus Christ, why would He want multiple religions and denominations within those religions? Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 Religion has always divided people and Lucifer used that to keep them from the Kingdom message. King Jesus was clear when explaining the Kingdom to His disciples. Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Matthew 13:18-23
So then, how do we separate a religious mindset from a Kingdom mindset? A religious mindset, though they believe in Jesus Christ, is more earthly minded and will trust mostly in their possessions and what people with influence have to say. They trust in their religious spiritual leaders while failing to be led by the Holy Spirit. Most of what they know of God's Word comes from the sermons they hear, not from spending time in God's Constitution. Those with a Kingdom mindset, read and study God's Constitution and through that knowledge they are led by the Holy Spirit, our Governor. Those with a Kingdom mindset live knowing that King Jesus and His Kingdom is their top priority. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 NKJV In contrast, a religious mindset will seek blessings and prosperity and ask for things rather than praising the Lord God at all times, in every situation. Kingdom citizens completely trust in His Word, knowing that in His time He will provide for all their needs. Remember, King Jesus is coming back again to reclaim His citizens and the Lord God's children. The Lord God lives in eternity, so His time isn't like mankind's time.
Those of us who have been raised in the church often find it difficult to separate their church activities with their relationship with King Jesus and the Kingdom of God. Having gone through this, I will suggest looking at the things you do in church that make up your faith in Jesus Christ. What has constituted your life as a Christian? Now search out scriptures that line up with those beliefs and activities. Evaluate what you are doing and what you should be doing, according to God's Word. Traditions become such a part of our lives that we don't see that they are not actually necessary. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Everything else is optional!
Once again, your faith in the Lord God's Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.
