If you are a citizen in good standing, He will protect His citizens. That is what a king does! That is why it is so important to make the Kingdom your top priority. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:33-34 NKJV When life seems to be in chaos and out of order, we should examine our priorities truthfully and see what is out of order according to God’s Word!
The King will always protect His citizens, especially when He has assigned them a purpose and an assignment that they are fulfilling. By the way, in that storm I told you about, there were over 291,000 without electricity in the city of Greenville alone! My wife and I were some of the very few who never lost power. My Lord and King is very concerned and protective of His citizens. Also, there were so many times that the King guided me and protected me while I was ignorant to His Will and purpose for me. That is His grace and mercy and I praise Him every day for it! Often we don’t see how He has protected us during those times until we look back and are amazed that we are still living!
Read here what the Lord Jesus said to His Father while He took time to pray: I have given them Your Word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I’m not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. John 17:14-15 Once you are filled with His Spirit, you aren’t of this world and you need to conduct yourself as such. You need to walk with your head high while living by His Word. Do you recall what King Jesus stated in a vision to ambassador Paul while he was ministering in the city of Corinth? One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent! For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to Me.” So Paul stayed there for the next year and a half, teaching the Word of God. Acts 18:9-11 He said to ambassador Paul, “Do not be afraid!” That was a command from the King, not a suggestion. The Lord Jesus stated that no one would hurt him. Keep this in mind, the Lord Jesus’ purpose and assignment for ambassador Paul wasn’t nearly complete. Even if the devil sends others to kill or harm you, you are protected by His Word to you. “I asked, ‘What should I do, Lord?’
“And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told everything you are to do.’
“I was blinded by the intense light and had to be led by the hand to Damascus by my companions. A man named Ananias lived there. He was a godly man, deeply devoted to the law, and well regarded by all the Jews of Damascus. He came and stood beside me and said, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight.’ And that very moment I could see him!
“Then he told me, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and hear Him speak. For you are to be His witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard. What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.’
“After I returned to Jerusalem, I was praying in the Temple and fell into a trance. I saw a vision of Jesus saying to me, ‘Hurry! Leave Jerusalem, for the people here won’t accept your testimony about Me.’
“‘But Lord,’ I argued, ‘they certainly know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believed in You. And I was in complete agreement when Your witness Stephen was killed. I stood by and kept the coats they took off when they stoned him.’
“But the Lord said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’” Acts 22:11-21
When the Lord God has assigned you to your purpose, there is not anyone to stop you except your disobedience to His Word.
Remember, your faith in the Lord God’s Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.
