Whenever we ask anything in the King's name, the Lord God will grant it to us. That is His Word to us. It has nothing to do with anything that the world can do for us. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. It doesn't get any plainer than that! King Jesus is the One who will grant His Kingdom citizens their heart's desires. So many religious leaders are draining the Lord God's people with their sob stories to appeal to their emotional state of mind to get what they want. If they asked the Father in faith and sought FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, He would supply all their need. It is no wonder that the Lord God spoke of the people as sheep, blindly following their leader. Even I receive many many requests from religious leaders, asking me to send assistance to their ministry.
My question to them is always "Where is your faith in His Word?"
Make your requests known to the Lord God and then trust Him to respond. Anyone who arm-twists, strong-arms, plays on people's emotions and begs to get what they believe they need, does not really see just how big God is! How big is your God? Mine is able to do exceedingly, abundantly far beyond anything I could possibly ask or think of! The hard part is found in the waiting. My wife and I have never asked anyone for their assistance in this ministry. We trust in His Word and sincerely only advance into another level of ministry at His direction and provision. He has never failed us. But if you push ahead, make elaborate, expensive plans and then ask God to provide, you will most likely be disappointed. The Lord God isn't just the bank. He is the head, the creator, the director and the CEO. He responds with a yes or a no. He wants to know you will be faithful in "the little things" first. If you walk in His Word and are obedient to His message, He gives you this invitation:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."
Do you see yourself in that statement of the King? Do you want to know what pleases the Lord Jesus? Your faith in Him is what pleases Him! “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” This is why I don't sweat the small stuff. His Word is solid and everlasting. My faith in Him sustains me in all my challenges (what most people would consider troubles). I am being an example in the Kingdom so all men and women can follow in this age here and now. We are all called to be living examples of Kingdom living!
When ambassador Paul wrote to Titus, he made this statement: Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you. We as Kingdom citizens have an obligation to be an example of how to live the Kingdom life. Paul also wrote this in a letter to his young protégé Timothy: Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Just to be clear, you shouldn't have to go around quoting scripture and humming religious songs at your place of employment. Your life and conduct should speak loud and clear to others, not your religious overtones. They should see the fruits of the spirit operating in your character and emotions, no matter what trouble comes your way! Having peace in the midst of a storm--having self-control in a stressful confrontational situation; that will preach the Kingdom of God far greater than any sermon!
When American tourists go to another country, are they telling everyone about the United States? No! But the citizens of the country they are visiting may ask where they are from. Why? Because their language, behavior and lifestyle says "I'm an American". Does your language, behavior and lifestyle say "I'm a Kingdom citizen!"?
The Lord Jesus made this statement concerning our behavior and lifestyle: “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Yes, the Lord God should get all the glory and our lives should glorify Him.
