Remember, the Holy Spirit gives you power to live the life of a Kingdom citizen, as well as an overcomer in this present world. For those who have the Holy Spirit, you will notice that you become both Kingdom citizen and overcomer in your speech and the manner in which you live your life. That is because they stand and live by the King's Word. You become one with God's Word and it is manifest in your character and decisions. The Holy Spirit gives you power and authority to live this life in the Kingdom. The Holy Spirit takes that Word within you and gives you wisdom beyond your human understanding. He is the key!
We who are filled with the Holy Spirit are to teach others how to become a citizen of His Kingdom. Men, we must get our lives in God's order. You are called to lead--yourself, your family, and the community around you. There are no "free passes" in the Kingdom when it comes to your responsibilities and discipleship. Read what King Jesus said to His disciples before He left them: Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
By studying and being taught God's Word, you will be glorifying the King in your body. It was King David that made this statement: "How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. I have tried hard to find you—don’t let me wander from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."
A citizen of the Kingdom is consistently listening to the voice of the Governor (Holy Spirit) for His direction. With experience, it becomes second nature. That is being transformed through His Word and it is an ongoing process. Ambassador Paul made this statement: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." NKJV
Remember I stated that it is the Holy Spirit that causes you to be a citizen in good standing? It is those who have that Spirit whom the Lord Jesus will return to. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. NKJV If you are filled with the Spirit of the Lord God, then you are glorifying the Lord in your body! The question is, how so? Because you are living and obeying God's Word, that is why He gave you His gift of the Holy Spirit. He stated: “If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you."
Remember, your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom of God.
