These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:23-26
Keep in mind that the Governor and His Word are one. King Jesus, while here on earth, prayed this prayer to His Father: “I do not pray for these alone (His disciples), but also for those who will believe in Me through their words; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:20-21
When you have the Word alive in you, our Kingdom Governor--the Holy Spirit—comes to guide you into all truth. Then you become one with the Father and the Son, as spoken of in King Jesus’ prayer to the Father. “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.” John 17:9-11
It is by being obedient and submitted to His Word residing in you that will keep you in the perfect will of the King. Remember, the Lord God and King knows our hearts. He knows the way each individual thinks.
In this present world, which is full of so much negative and bad information, it is very important that we flood our minds with God’s Constitution. His Word is our protection from the evil one and his deceptions. The Lord God’s Word is tried, tested and proven. King David put it this way:
As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:30-32
For the Word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth. Psalm 34:4
Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11
When you hear other Believers say that they love the Lord, yet fail to obey Him or live by His Constitution, they are deceived. They are liars and the truth is not in them. People who love the King always keep His Word and immediately repent if they sin. King Jesus made this statement. Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His Word.’” John 8:54-55
Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I rebuke and discipline [showing them their faults and instructing them]; so be enthusiastic and repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God’s will]. Revelation 3:19 AMP
Here, ambassador James is writing these strong words to the church, not to the world! What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.
You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit He has placed within us should be faithful to Him. And He gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up in honor. James 4:1-10 NLT
I have seen many who read and study the Lord God’s Constitution in Bible studies or school assignments yet keep living their sinful ways. They may have a head knowledge of His Word, but they haven’t ‘consumed’ or embraced His Word to have a heart knowledge of it! Ambassador James stated these words in God’s Constitution: Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. James 1:21-24
Keep this thought always: The Lord God’s Word is His law. A king’s word is law. King David made it his priority to obey and live according to His law. I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart. Psalm 40:8
Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, and I shall keep it to the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. . . So shall I keep Your law continually, forever and ever. . . This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your Word has given me life. The proud have me in great derision, yet I do not turn aside from Your law. . . I remember Your name in the night, O Lord, and I keep Your law. Psalm 119:34, 44, 50-51, 55
When you have the law of the Lord God residing in your mortal body, you take pleasure in keeping it. Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. . . My life is continually in my hand; Yet I do not forget Your law. . . I am small and despised, yet I do not forget Your precepts. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth. Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your commandments are my delights. The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; Give me understanding, and I shall live. Psalm 119:97, 109, 141-144
Remember, your faith in the King and His Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.
