While the Lord Jesus was here on earth, He made this statement: “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
It is our responsibility to show those around us how to live a victorious life in the Governor, meaning the Holy Spirit. For those of us who are filled with the Holy Spirit, it is a lifestyle. We are led and guided by Him. By the way, that is predicated on your love for the King and obeying His law and commands. “If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you."
Remember citizens of the Kingdom government are not citizens because they are members of a religious group, even Christians. Religious membership doesn't make you a citizen of the Kingdom of God. That requires accepting the Lord Jesus as your savior, living by God's Word and listening to the Holy Spirit. Far too many people fail to study God's Word and seek the Holy Spirit's guidance. Instead they embrace every word their leader or favorite preacher speaks from the pulpit. We should always read and study His constitution, the Bible. Ambassador Paul put it this way: Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God’s presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them.
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive His approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
We should always be seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, sent to lead and guide us into all truth. Keep in mind, the world can't receive Him and that includes many who attend a church on Sunday mornings. “There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’"
"He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you."
It is essential that you have the Holy Spirit (our Governor) dwelling with you and in you. That is why the Son prayed to His Father for us. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.
Always turn to the guidance of the Holy Spirit (our Governor). A citizen's first responsibility is to seek the Kingdom government and it's King. Now what does this accomplish? The King put it this way: “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today."
Remember, people who live a life outside of the Lord God's principles are already condemned for that very reason. Your responsibility is to keep being salt and light to the earth. “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."
Keep in mind, disobedience to the Lord God's Word is sin, regardless of your perspective. When the King speaks, it is law, no subjective. However, many religious groups like to interpret God's constitution to fix their lifestyle. We should never change God's Word to make it more palatable to the people. God's Word is unchanging.
But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give Him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
Your responsibility is to have faith in His Word.
