Many individuals say, "You are what you eat". Even I have made this statement from time to time. But a more accurate statement is "you are what you have been watching". This holds true in our everyday life. What we take into our body--consume--is what we become, whether through our mouth, eyes or our ears. King David made this statement: I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me. We have to be very careful of what we view on television and the internet. Because a diet of lust and violence and the politically correct worldview will corrupt our thinking and then our behavior. When you are filled with the world, you will think and act like the world.
People who concentrate on what is righteous and good (in God's sight) are healthy. You ask "how can I do that?" By constantly reading and studying His Word. When you consume the Word, you will become more like Him.
That I might not sin against You.
