Change and Maturity

As you embrace God's Word through a kingdom mindset, you will notice that the Word of the King will take on a new meaning.  Your clarity of the scriptures will become clear of what God's purpose is for your life.  Through change you will become more mature and secure in who you are.  change causes you to grow to the level of maturity in God's Word as you read and study it.  Remember what the disciples went through as they were changing while Christ was here on earth.  The disciples became alarmed when the storm came.  Yet Jesus was cool, calm and collected. They panicked.  His faith remained steadfast.

On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him.  And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.  But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.  But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

Maturity isn't ignoring danger but rather interpreting it through a kingdom mindset so that it becomes a benefit to you rather than a burden.  Change then becomes a source of courage rather than a discomfort.  In this instance, the power of God was shown to bring peace in the midst of a natural danger that could never have been addressed without help from the King.

Remember, reading, studying and obeying God's Word brings maturity.

Restructuring Your Life Through Change

In order for you to grow, you must first realize that you must be willing to change.  Change is  a must.  Change is the greatest revealer of your inner truth of your maturity.  By the way, maturity has nothing whatsoever to do with age. It has to do with your ability to maintain your balance, perspective and internal peace in the midst of unexpected chaos.  If change debilitates you, immobilizes you or disarms your  mental faculties to the point where they cannot respond and function.

Being immature in the kingdom is a lack of trusting in His Word.  If one totally takes the King at His Word, then why fear or be afraid.  Remember, fire and water cannot occupy the same space at the same time.  do you remember what King Jesus stated to His disciples?

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?"  Those who are of a Kingdom mindset knows that the King will always take care of His children. Those children of the Kingdom who are in good standing with their King accept change because they  know His voice.

"And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him for they know his voice"

Jesus made this strong statement, which contains an important truth we can apply to addressing change:  "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it".

The Kingdom of God, is His government that lives in you.

Change Manifests Maturity

Change in many situations can be viewed as a good thing in the life of the citizen of the Kingdom.  It is due to the fact that it causes them to depend on the King's Word.  In most cases, an individual with a Kingdom mindset, change will cause that individual to lean on his Lord as a child depends on their natural parents.  That goes along with what King Jesus stated:  "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them for such is the Kingdom of God.  Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it".  Jesus was very stern when He made that statement.

Now keep in mind, children exhibit sincerity, eagerness, a trusting attitude and a total dependence on their parents.  This childlikeness is a fitting comparison for the qualities as a child of the King that we should have.  We are citizens of the Kingdom, but we are also children of the King.  some people may think or call this unrealistic.  That is because they don't have a Kingdom mindset.  When change occurs, everyone else around you may view it as chaos.  They may think danger or destruction.  But you, on the other hand, can approach it as a child y realizing and remembering God's Holy Word:  "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose".

This kind of thinking comes from reading, studying and trusting in His Word; in essence, a Kingdom mindset.  Not a religious mindset, filled with traditions, customs and cliches.

Remember, "Trust in the Lord, and do good.  Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness.  Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart".

Mark 10:14-15  Romans 8:28  Psalm 37:3-4

Change is Always Present

If there is one thing that is constant, that is change.  Regardless of what is going on, change is taking place.  If you have a problem with that statement, just take a look in the mirror.

As I view the internet and listen to the radio, I hear of chaos and people dying all around the world in other countries as well as here in this country.  But I am not worried concerning my life, because the King stated that all these things must be. Some people might call this approach unrealistic, but God's view it is mature, if it is based on trusting in Him.  Besides I didn't say that I wasn't concerned.  I stated that I wasn't worried.  Jesus trusted His Father's Words, that He was able to sleep through a storm.

“Let us cross over to the other side.”... And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow.  If you may or may  not have noticed, Jesus didn't "sweat the small stuff".  Why?  Because His Father's Words were this: "All authority and power was given to Him by His Father".  Jesus trusted in His father's Word.  That is our responsibility.

For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.  Remember, Jesus slept through the storm, but when He was awakened by his disciples, He spoke to the storm by using His faith.

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

Read, study and build your faith through the Word of the living God.

Losing the Word

Many of us hear the Word of the Kingdom but allow other religious messages to take over our thinking.  What we hear is like food to our mind.  We have to be very careful of what we hear, and how it affects our thinking.  Our mind is crowded with other things that is non-productive.  Then we fail to grow in line with the kingdom mindset.  The Kingdom mindset is when we hear the Word of God's Constitution (Bible), we embrace it and obey what we have heard.  Do you remember what Christ stated?

But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

The good are those who are ready to receive, and who are truly seeking the Kingdom, not a religious feel-good feeling.  These are the ones who understand the Word that the King speaks.

But there are those who hear the Word, and get happy and rely on a feeling. Those are the ones who fail to read and study the Word.  Here is what the King has to say about that:

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

We should never allow the music in our churches to become entertainment. These are the things that are stealing the Word and replacing them with feel-good feelings, disguised as praise.

The Word of God isn't a feeling, it's our livelihood.  It is how we live.

Built-in Potential

It was stated by Chin-Ning Chu, a Chinese American business consultant "Without the strength to endure the crisis, one will not see the opportunity within.  It is within the process of endurance that opportunity reveals itself".

What I have learned in this world is this:  A successful career should not be your goal in this life, God created us with much more. Our goal in life should be a successful deployment of our abilities and gifts.  Now what is it that I mean deployment and employment.  I have learned that a job means "Just Over Broke".  Is this where you are?  As a Kingdom Citizen in right standing, your employment--your job--the place where you earn a paycheck--gives you an opportunity to serve and to use the gift God has given you in the context of a corporate group.  Now when someone employs you, what they are actually doing is using your time to help build their business or project.  In return, they pay you a fraction of what you are worth, but not even what they think your time is worth.  Because if they did, they would first ask you.

Now deployment is the giving of your natural gift to the world around you.  When you get deployed as a Kingdom Citizen, you can be sure that the results of your labor will have eternal significance.  Your work matters, and the fruit of your work remains.  Read what the king stated:  " Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.   “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." ~~John 15:4-5

Are You Shaken by Crisis?

There are many crisis in this world.  Are you allowing it to affect how you view God's Word?  Are you allowing it to affect you in dealing with your family? Well, here are some guiding points. For example:  A Kingdom Citizen in right standing does not live for a job.  A Kingdom Citizen in right standing does not live for their spouse.  A Kingdom Citizen does not live to gather blessings, not if they are in right standing with the King.  Rather a Kingdom citizen lives to display the love of God to the society around them.  A Kingdom individual may, for a moment, revert to old habits of self-protection; but soon remember that God is their source and that the King wants to supply all of their needs.  Remember what Christ stated:

Therefore do not be like them.  For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. ~~Matthew 6:8

Remember, the King is both Father and Savior.  The King is omnipotent which means "all-powerful".  He is omniscient, which means "all-knowing".  He is omnipresent, which means He is everywhere at the same time.

Now give Him the praise!  Now we can say with Paul:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written:  “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”   Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  ~~Romans 8:35-39

Remember this one thing, in the time of crisis, or not the King will supply all your needs according to the riches in glory. ~~Philippians 4:19

Living by Faith Ensures Obedience to His Word

Kingdom dwellers have faith in the King's Word.  Whether it is spoken or written.  Their faith grows as they exercise it on a daily basis.  True Kingdom citizens don't treat their faith in their king as a tool or a lucky charm.  When they exercise their faith, it isn't like playing a slot machine in a casino, where if they somehow end up with the right combination of words or actions they win.  Rather it is a relationship with an invisible king, but He is very much present.  This King of ours has communicated liberally with His people, especially through His written Word.  He has displayed His laws and His principles and has made them accessible to all who have eyes to see and ears to hear.  We have to develop an appetite for reading, studying and living the principles of His laws. Remember what the King stated:

More than that, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it~~Luke 11:28

Just another word of wisdom:  In order for you to keep God's Word that is written in His Constitution you must first have faith in it.  Your obedience to God's Word hinges on how much faith you have in it.  Do you remember what Jesus stated when His mother and brothers tried to get to see Him?

"...My mother and My brothers are those who hear the Word of God and do it".~~Luke 8:21

God's Son, Jesus, who is our King, came to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.  He did not confuse His listeners when He stated:  But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. ~~Matthew 6:33  For a member of the family of the Kingdom what was truly worth seeking?  Two things:  The Kingdom itself and the righteousness that only comes from God.

Your obedience to the King hinges on
how much faith you put in His Word.

Living by Faith in His Word

Our lives must reflect the Word that resides in us.  As you may or may not know, we live in a consumer driven culture and it is in a  crisis all the time.  This society around us is obsessed with things.  People are perpetually tired and worn out, distracted and depressed, irritable and in a hurry.  They suffer from anxiety and stress-induced illnesses and disease, and they most certainly treat each other poorly.  If you have faith in the King's Word, you should not be worried concerning anything.  Remember, fire and water can't occupy the same space at the same time.  Jesus made this statement:

And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.  ~~Luke 12:29

The Kingdom of God is not like that in the least.  The resources we need are supposed to come to us in the natural course of living our lives according to God's design and intention, through obeying His Word.  We should not seek the Kingdom of God because of its benefits.  The benefits come to us as we seek the Kingdom.  The provisions and resources that we need are not meant to become the objects of our faith in His Word.  They are meant to be the by-products of our faith in Him.  Remember, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.  Jesus was the Word made flesh.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. ~~John 1:14

Jesus the King, and His Word are One.  They are all on the same page.

I and My Father are one. ~~John 10:30

Now what more do you  need?

The Nutritional Nourishment of the Word

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.  ~~Joshua 1:8

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,  and in His law he meditates day and night. ~~Psalm 1:2

In a time of crisis, or anytime as far as that is concerned, the secret to thriving is to understand the secret of being fruitful.  The secret of being fruitful is simply this:  Reading, studying and obeying God's Word.  One thing that we humans fail to do, is to have faith in His Word.  Our faith in His Word is our greatest asset. Once you read and study God's Word, your responsibility is to meditate on it day and night.  It is the nourishment for your spirit and soul.

Nourish (verb):  to feed or to sustain; with substances necessary to life and growth.  It is to foster; develop; promote (a feeling, attitude, habit)

Nourishment (noun):  something that nourishes; food, nutriment.

Remember how Mary the mother of Jesus kept the word of the angel in her memory and thoughts?  Those words gave hope, faith and confidence.  They were food for her soul and spirit.

But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.  ~~ Luke 2:19

Once you embrace the King's Word and meditate on it, it will start the changing process (maturing, fruit, right behaviors according to His Will, and right standing in the King's Presence).

Remember what King David stated in Psalm 119:11:

Your Word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

Always allow the King's Word to govern your behavior.

In What Position Do You Stand?

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none who does good.
2) God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
3) Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.  ~~Psalm 53:1-3

In God's Constitution (the Bible), the term does not indicate mental incompetence, but moral and spiritual insensitivity.  The fool is the individual that ignores the King's principles, laws and precepts.  Without any laws, there would be nothing but chaos and mayhem on a consistent basis.

Remember, at some stage of life, we were all disobedient to the King's command and His principles.  When we fail to embrace His principles and commands, we fall into an environment that causes us to stray from the very thing that can strengthens us and assists us in our growth.  To truly know your position in the presence of the King, you must have the Holy Spirit residing in your temple (meaning your body).  Remember what the King stated:

“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.~~John 15:26

Have you noticed what King Jesus called the Holy Spirit?  "The Spirit of Truth"  The King also identified the Holy Spirit as "He" not "it".

Once you become obedient to His Word,
the Holy Spirit will take up residence in your life.

He will guide you.

When Discouragement Comes

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29) Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30) But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31) Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

                          ~~Matthew 10:28-31

We deal with discouragement and sadness from time to time.  Maybe it is caused by hard times or a crisis. Sometimes it is simply a "melancholy" mood.  Yesterday, that was the case for me.  In the midst of it, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the old hymn "His Eye is on the Sparrow".  We've all heard it, I'm sure.  Yesterday, the words resonated in my mind:

Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

"Let not your heart be troubled," His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
When we are in the midst of despair, it is hard to believe that God cares...hard to believe things will change...get better.  But He does care...things will change...it will get better.  If He watches the sparrow and numbers the hairs on your head, He knows what you are going through.  Trust Him in every situation and watch Him move in your life.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.                                                              ~~John 14:27

Stay Connected to the True Vine

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

The phrase true vine implies that there are other vines that aren't true.  Also keep in mind, in this phrase the word "true" is emphatic:  meaning done with emphasis or forcible.  Jesus made it very plain that God, His Father was the one that takes care of Him.  Why was the King so confident in His Father?  Because Christ always kept His Father's principles, laws and commands.  Are you aware that once you live by God's Word you will discover your purpose for being here on planet earth?  Jesus knew His purpose for being here.

Reading and studying God's Constitution leads to a transformation of one's mindset.  It also causes one to have an appetite to seek the Kingdom of God.  Every individual that fails to know their purpose is non-productive and in a  lot of cases, they become a hindrance to the Kingdom and will be cut off.  Remember we are branches to our Source.  Our Source is King Jesus.  The greater our relationship with Christ, the more effective we become in the world as branches.  The fruit that we bear must and will affect others to see the Kingdom in us.  Remember what the King stated:

I am the vine, and you are the branches.  He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.  ~~John 15:5

Transformed Through the Word

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  ~~Romans 12:2

To be conformed means "to form" or "mold".  The word "world" is the normal word for "age" or "era".  Instead of being molded by this world system, the citizens of the Kingdom should be transformed through the Word.  Spiritual transformation starts with a different mindset.  Meaning, believing in the mind and soul of the individual.

Remember, a mind dedicated to this world system and its concerns will eventually lead a life of chaos and despair.  It will cause you to be tossed back and forth by the currents of culture.

Once you have a renewed mind, you are able to grow and mature in to your purpose that the King has created you for.  But keep this in mind:  a renewing of the mind is always a process and for many, a journey.  But if you still seek the Kingdom, with all your heart, you can put your worries aside and your faith in Him keeping His Word.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will by no means pass away.  ~~Mark 13:31

There you have it.
God and His Words are One.
You can put all your trust
in His Word.

Be Still and Know
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.
~~ Psalm 46:10-11

Today's world is on sensory overload. Internet, cell phones, TV, radio, iPods, video games, etc.... provide a constant stream of noise.  Our ears and eyes are constantly inputting data to our brains and Satan loves it.  He has an open line to our minds and he keeps us too busy to hear God.  Some people always have ear buds on, listening to constant "noise".  Even when some are driving alone in the car, they must be talking on the phone!

Why do we have such an aversion to silence?  What so disturbs us in the quiet times?  Why do some never want to be alone, disconnected from the world and quiet?  Even when praying, they are never silent...

God speaks loudest in the quiet times.  He will not yell above the constant noise and chaos of our lives.  If Satan can keep the volume turned up, if he can keep us busy and distracted; we will not hear what God has to say!  So today, I am saying "Be still....quiet the noise..and listen...

The work of righteousness will be peace,
And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation,
In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places

~~Isaiah 32:17-18

For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel:
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”

~~Isaiah 30:15

Then they are glad because they are quiet;
So He guides them to their desired haven.

~~Psalm 107:30

The King's Word is Transforming

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.    ~~Romans 12:1-2

When you begin to become serious about obeying the King's Word, your whole body, soul and spirit start to fall in line with His Word.  Remember, when Christ gave a command, He was repeating what His Father had told Him.

I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.  ~~ John 5:30

If we are to be an acceptable sacrifice, then we must learn to become obedient to His Word.  This is what is called our reasonable service.  If we are to truly be blessed, then it is our responsibility to live by His Word as obedient children.

By reading and studying the King's Word, it will transform our mindset into that perfect sacrifice.  Keep in mind, that there is no substitute for reading and studying God's Word.  Christ our King obeyed unto death.  What a King!

In order for us to become strong in obeying His Word, we must make it our goal to take time to read and study the Word.  For that is His Will for our lives.  That, and that alone, will make us acceptable.

Remember what the Psalmist stated:

Your Word have I hidden in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.  ~~ Psalm 119:11

Who Do YOU Think You Are?

There are times when we may feel as if Satan has unleashed his demonic angels on us to beat us up--to destroy us.  But remember, he wants to know if you know who you are.

As long as you cower in a corner in a defensive posture, he knows that you don't know the power that is in being sons and daughters of God with the Holy Spirit dwelling in you.

Remember when Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness?  I believe one of the purposes of this passage is to show us how we are to respond to the enemy's attacks.

Go to your Bible (or click the link below), read the scriptures and note these key parts:

Matthew 4:1:11 1) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.  He was LED into the wilderness to be TEMPTED by the devil.  The devil didn't surprise Him.  It was part of God's plan.

4) But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” (Deut. 8:3) When Jesus responded to Satan's temptations, it was always by speaking the Word of God.

5) Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6) and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and,‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”(Psalm 91:11-12)  Here the devil is using scripture to try and tempt Jesus.  The devil knows scripture and how to use it!

7) Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’” (Deut. 6:16)

Again Jesus responded by speaking the Word:

10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” (Deut. 6:13)

11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

There is power in God's Word and power when you speak it!  Don't weep and beg God to deliver you. Go on the offense! Your deliverance is in what you speak.  Let the devil know that YOU know WHO you are in Christ!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord,
and in the power of his might.  Ephesians 6:10

Living and Obeying His Word

Picture
II Timothy 2:19  Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

When we read and study His Word on a daily basis, there must be an action verb in our daily behavior.  Meaning, obeying and living His command.  By obeying the King's principles and His laws, we are citizens in good standing and He knows who we are. For His Word is Truth.  Remember what King Jesus stated, standing before Pilate:

John 18:37   Pilate said to Him,"Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king.  For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness of the truth.  Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

Obeying the King's Word gives one courage.  Why?  Because His Word will last forever.  Remember what the King stated.  "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will by no means pass away. ~~ Mark 13:31

Stand strong on the King's Word, your firm foundation.

How Strong Is Your Foundation?

Picture
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
               ~~I Corinthians 3:11

Before an architect begins to build a structure, he first takes time to visualize the appearance of the finished structure.  After envisioning this in his mind, he draws plans and starts factoring in the cost.

Depending on the height and width of the building, he must determine how deep the foundation will be.  Why? Because when inclement weather comes against the structure, it will stand the test of time.  This is exactly what the King's Word does when you truly embrace it.  Always speak His Words in your life and use your greatest assets:  Belief in Him, and faith in His Word.  Faith in His Word in essence is saying, you believe that God will keep His Word.  ~~ W.R. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5) Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.  ~~~Psalm 37:4-5

In the late 90's we were living in a 960 square foot house with two growing boys, a dog and a cat.  We needed more room! But selling that house and finding a bigger house we could afford seem impossible!

One day, I was talking with my former pastor's wife about the situation.  She said "God wants to give you the desires of your heart.  Tell him what you want.  Be specific!"  That was exactly what I did...right down to the porch swing! Within two years a builder offered to take our house in trade and built our home, to our exact specifications!  When I sat on that front porch of my dream home, I felt so blessed and loved by God.  Sometimes at night, I would sit on that porch, gazing at the stars, thanking God with tears of joy. He gave me the desires of my heart, exactly as I asked him!  The same thing happened when I met my dear husband, William...but that is a story for another day!

Meditate on Psalm 37:4-5, all of it:

#1 First delight in the Lord.  Not just His benefits, blessings and favor.  Also delight in His boundaries, His laws, His correction, His instructions and the way He will sometimes protect us from ourselves when we want to do something stupid.

#2 Commit YOUR way to the Lord.  It's not about doing it YOUR way, but about following HIS way.  It is saying "Not my will Lord, but yours"

#3 Trust in Him.  We say we trust Him, but do we really?  Do we worry?  Are we fearful?  Trust is being able to close our eyes and fall back, with peace that we will be caught and not be hurt.  When something comes to attack our peace, God says "Do you trust me?"

#4  God loves you so much, He wants to give you your heart's desire.  When you do numbers 1-3, your desires line up with His will.  Write down your heart's desire, tell God and be specific!  Don't try to figure it out, just watch God work!
