Be Careful How You Choose

When you give thoughts to marriage, you must be very careful how you choose your "running mate".  It is similar to choosing a candidate for vice president.  You both must be of the same mind.  Choose your wife or your husband, in terms of til death do you part.  Men, you are a cultivator of your wife and family.  You and your wife are to be on the same page at all times.

Remember this one thing:  If your wife is motivated by sensual needs and worldly desires when you first meet her,  then you have to feed into that emotional part of her. While she is your wife,  unless she is converted to the kingdom mindset,  the husband is to cultivate his wife.  By doing so, they both will have the same mindset.  Remember what God's Constitution states:  "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.  For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?  And what communion has light with darkness?"  There are so many pastors and leaders that are catering to their wives sinful desires.  To the point that they are missing God's message for their lives.  Do you know of someone in that situation?  They have become unstable in all their ways.  Many of us get married before we have a solid concept of the kingdom.  Keep in mind, you got married while you were unbelievers.  One of you got converted and the other remained the same.  Maybe even worse.  Remember, the king wants us to be of one mind.  "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement".  Always remember, if you are considering a life-long partner, keep in line with the Word of God. Never allow your feelings dictate your selection or judgment.

The Two Worlds In Which We Live

Allow me to share with you the two worlds that we reside in concerning marriage and divorce.  In this, Jesus the Christ points out that God's original creation and Moses decree that allowed divorce where operating in two different worlds.  He stated that God made a male and a female; and He intended for a man to leave his parents and be joined permanently to his wife.  After that, they will be "two whole individual people joined into a oneness bigger than both of them".  Read what God's Constitution stated concerning male and female through Adam:  And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called woman because she was taken out of man.  Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh".

Keep this in mind, it was possible for a man and a woman who knew no sin to become totally one, and Jesus the King stated this:..."Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.  And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery".  Now, keep in mind, Jesus was saying, "As far as I am concerned, the people of the world system can legally marry one another and live together but God their Creator and their Source didn't marry them; which is God.

Here is something for you to really think about.  If you truly believe what you have read concerning the King's Word (meaning the Bible) then you will go out of your way to obey it, regardless of what the world system may say or do concerning marriage.  God created marriage and its institution.

Standing on His Word, Regardless  of the Chaos

We live in the midst of a world where men who claim to know God, live lives in chaos--men who are taking their own lives, having affairs with other men's wives, making a choice to become gay, leaving their wives and families,   preachers who are reluctant and afraid to preach the pure Gospel of the Kingdom because of what the world's system may do or say.  The question is, where do you stand when it comes to the King's Word?  We are living in the days when parents are not training their children anymore.  Instead, they want to become their friend.  We are living in the days where males aren't men, because they lack a real father image in the home.  My question to you, again, where do you stand in the midst of this chaos?

Children are out of control, sometimes to the extreme of killing their parents, in part because the father is either absent from the home or the father and husband has lost his masculinity and rightful authority to a society that seeks to castrate him.  There are several other reasons why our children are losing their grip on life.

Do you remember what King Jesus stated while He was here on earth, concerning the last days?  Well, here is a synopsis:  Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"   And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.  For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Keep this in mind, this is just the beginning of sorrows.  So stay in the Word of God and live by His principles and precepts.

How to Manage Power

Where do you stand when it comes to authority and power?  Do you know how to handle it?  Or are you one of those individuals who just acts without thinking?  One of the false concepts of authority that led to its misuse and abuse is that power is synonymous with authority (meaning that they are the same).  That is not true.  I see this more and more in religious leaders and those who hold a position of authority in the church. Many people have come to see authority as a greater strength that is able to subdue others.

Allow me to share this with you.  Power is the capacity to move something by force or energy, whether it is an object, an idea or a person.  It is the ability to cause, activate, initiate, transform or impact.  Power can be exercised through position, knowledge, strength, force, integrity, influence, personality or threats.  But keep this in mind, power isn't the same thing as authority.  The difference is that true authority is always sanctioned, or authorized.  Whereas power can be illegitimate or even unauthorized.  Do you remember what the devil told Jesus? Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

This temptation was an attempt to offer Jesus the King power by the wrong means.  Always remember, Satan's methods involve a detour around God's purpose that He has for your life--an inducement to "take the easy way" to power.

What Are You in Pursuit Of?

When you are in pursuit of the Kingdom, nothing else really matters.  I learned that the hard way.  I have learned this:  when people violate the principles of authority, it is usually because they didn't have a foundational understanding of what genuine authority really is.  I realize that many individuals who have great gifts, talents, dreams and promises have destroyed their future by failing to implement these principles.  For example:  many individuals pursue prosperity or fame for their own selfish desires.  But these pursuits are not authentic.  Instead, people should be pursuing their inner authority, their purpose for being here on earth.  They will discover that when they do, prosperity and health will arrive at their doorstep.  Our prosperity is found in our Creator and Source.  This is why Jesus made this statement:

"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you".  There are so man (so-called believers in Christ) that have given up obeying God's Word for possessions.

Pursue your purpose.  Submit your will to the One who has given you another start.  Your prosperity is found where your authority is.  Keep in mind, true authority is the right and the power to be who you were created to be.

Seek the Kingdom and discover your purpose and that will please the King.

The Self-Surrender of The Christ

Jesus was committed to proclaiming the Kingdom to the world.  His focus was on self-surrender.  After being tempted of the devil in the wilderness, the King's first and only message was the Kingdom of God.  Now the first necessity of entrance into the Kingdom of God is self-surrender to the Father's Will.  So His first assignment was to preach the Kingdom.  Read:  From that time Jesus began to preach and to say "Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand".  In order for one to truly live and serve the King, you must first surrender your selfish will for His divine Will.  Jesus Himself uncovering the nature of His Father and the nature of the Kingdom of God, also obeyed the law of self-surrender.  Having said that, what about your full surrender to the King?  Remember, God the Father gave all authority to Jesus, who is King of Kings and Lord of Lord.  Do you recall what Christ stated to His disciples?  "...All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Now I want you to notice, He didn't say "making Christians" which is a religion. He said "make disciples" (learners).  Once you read, study and embrace God's Word, you and His Word will become one.  I am an example of that last statement.

So God, His Word and man become one.  This is important, and it is most definitely true and not debatable:  if you surrender yourself, you will live.  But if you refuse to surrender yourself, you will decay and perish.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

Your Praise Affects You

In this fallen world, we as human beings have highs and lows.  If you are anything like myself, there are times when you would rather be left alone in your situation or environment.  Please remember this one thing:  God and the King, are the same all the time.  Read what God's Constitution states "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever".  But always remember, you are not. This is the reason why you  need the stability of the King's unchanging presence to keep your world in balance.  You need someone who is and always will be there and be the same every day, all day.

Our days are like a yo-yo that goes up and down... sometimes higher, sometimes lower.  This is never true of our King Jesus.  His days are always good, and up.  He is there all the time with the same attitude, the same perspective and the same abilities.  His presence in your day is quite important and very necessary.  Remember this:  it is important that you create the perfect atmosphere in which He can dwell.  Do not fill your mind with vain foolishness.  Read what it states in God's Constitution:  "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in You".  If you notice, your mind must stay on His Word.  This comes through a renewing of the mind.  Read what God's Word states through Paul:  "And do not be conformed to this World, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God".

If you want the full effect of your praise, stay in the Word.

Always Praise the King

When you put God's Word first in your life, you will discover that praising Him comes naturally.  In essence, no matter what is going on in your life, if you will invite the King into your day through praise, He will fill your life with Himself. Just remember, keeping God's Word active in your life causes praise to come naturally to you.  You will find that the words "make my day" become more than a cliche.  The Apostle Paul wrote these words:  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose".  Remember this one thing.  When God's plan and purpose are worked out in your life, every day and all day becomes a good day.  Regardless of what may come against you are a citizen of good standing with the King.

O Lord, our Lord,How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens!....When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?  For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor....O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Without Principles and Laws

As I read and study the life of my King while He was here on this planet called earth, I realize that not one time did He ever attend a funeral.  In fact, when they told Him of His friend Lazarus' death, there was no funeral, but an awakening.  In fact, Jesus told Mary and Martha that their brother would rise again.  "Jesus said to her, 'Your brother will rise again'.  You see, there is no death around or in King Jesus.  Study the scriptures, and you will see that everything around Him came alive through His Word.

If you are to follow Jesus, you must stay focused on His Word and not get caught up in this world system.  Do you remember what Christ told the individual who wanted to bury his father?  Read and learn:  "Then He said to another, 'Follow Me'.  But he said, 'Lord let me first go and bury my father'.  Jesus said to him, 'Let the dead bury their dead, but you go and preach the Kingdom of God".  If you say that God has called you to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, then why are you conducting yourself like those around you?  If you take a moment to view those around you, you will notice that they conduct themselves as if they have a life to live here.  We should be allowing the Holy Spirit to rule in our life every day redeeming the time that we have lost while we were yet in disobedience.  Read and embrace:  "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil".

Your life should be a ray of hope and encouragement to everyone who comes in contact with you.  Your character and integrity should speak volumes.  To walk circumspectly is to step in a very cautious manner.  We should watch our path to avoid contact with undesirable influences.  Redeeming the time means taking advantage of opportunities for service.  Keep in mind, we each have a limited amount of time while here on this planet called earth.  We are to use as much time as possible to advance the kingdom on this earth.  by the way, I said Kingdom, not a religion called "Christianity".  Jesus preached the Kingdom, not religion.  do not be deceived.

Focus on Obedience, Purpose and Principles

The more I really think about it, I have to wonder: Is it cosmic or comic?  The idea of a homeless man telling a group of fishermen that they were the salt of the earth and the light of the world.  Keep in mind, Jesus the King came to this planet called earth to fulfill His purpose and that He did.  When speaking to His disciples, He made this statement:  "...Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head".  By the way, He was a long way from His home.

Remember this one thing, whenever the principles and attitudes that were entrusted in this small group were implemented or put in operation,   the values of society went up.  But whenever those principles and attitudes have been rejected or neglected, society has decayed.  If rejection and neglect continue, it will be destroyed.

I want you to know, many individuals think that the Old Testament of God's constitution isn't relevant for today.  Now I assure you this most important thing:  The Old Testament showed the character and principles of God.  As you read and study God's constitution (Bible) notice how God dealt with disobedience and how He handled sin.  All disobedience to God's Word is sin.  It is because of disobedience that the world is in this situation.  For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous".  Always read and study God's Word and don't be sidetracked by what you hear through the Media.  Read what God's Constitution states:  "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience".  Remember reading and studying God's Word isn't enough.  You must live by it.

Kingdom, Working From the Inside

Since my wife and I have begun teaching the Kingdom of God and reading in God's Constitution how that was the only message the King Jesus preached and taught, many have departed from our association.  I will contribute that to the refining of the Kingdom in our lives.  You see, the Kingdom of God starts from within but it surely doesn't end there.  It goes from what you are, to what you do.  But the humanistic ethical system ( the world system) works from the outward to the inward.  This system will end up being futile.  This is a heaven born system.  The Kingdom of God is working from the inward and is manifesting itself to the outer ends, by being fruitful and the fruitfulness is on a universal scale.  Here is what Jesus stated to the religious leaders of His day:  "...The Kingdom of God does not come with observation, nor will they say 'See here!' for indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you".

As you embrace the Kingdom concept, you will feel and see the effects of what Christ was speaking up on the mountain concerning the Beatitudes.  "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?  It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.  You are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden".

Do you now see the effects of one full with the Holy Spirit?  One that embraces the Kingdom in its fullness.  If you may or may not have noticed, Jesus stated that you cannot be hidden.  So if you claim to be a citizen of the Kingdom, and fail to behave in a manner that is conducive, then you fall in the category of hypocrite.  This is why it is so important to study and read God's principles and laws.

Remember:  "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven".

God's Unchanging Character

As a true leader of righteousness, you must guard your integrity and your character.  These two must be who you are at all times.  If you take the time to read the whole Old Testament of God's Constitution, you will notice that it is all about God's character.  What He likes and what He doesn't like.  For example, read what God has to say about laws of sexual morality: “If a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then both of them shall die—the man that lay with the woman, and the woman; so you shall put away the evil from Israel."   Now, if you haven't noticed, the man and the woman would be put to death.  This should show you what God thinks about adultery, and sexual disobedience or as it is called, sin.  God hates disobedience to His commands.  Please be advised, our time on this planet called earth is only temporary.  We are supposed to live our lives fulfilling His purpose while we are here, affecting others with the Kingdom message.  We fail to realize, by living this life through submitting our will to the Holy Spirit, we will overcome every obstacle through His Word.  Remember, God and His Son Jesus the Christ is always the same (meaning His character).  "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever."

Jesus made this statement to John in the Constitution of Revelation:  Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new".  And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.  He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son."  Regardless of what comes against you, you must have faith in Christ and His Word.  I didn't say "Christianity" or "Christian faith".  I said faith in Christ and His Word.  Remember, God the Father gave Christ all His authority.

We Were Created to Rule

Has the thought ever come to you, why we as human beings were created?  Believe it or not, we were created to rule, but not over another.  The problem came about when man failed to obey his creator's command. That was the key to our present situation.

We were created for rulership.  With this definition in mind, it is now critical for us to define the word "dominion"; for this was God's expressed purpose for the creation of mankind.  Now the meaning of dominion, in the Constitution of Genesis,  Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth".  As you can read and see, we weren't created to rule over one another, but over fish, animal and birds, etc.

The meaning of dominion is radah, which means "to tread down, to subjugate".  In other words, to bring under control or subjection; prevail against.  I trust that you will realize God's original purpose for your life before the fall of man in the garden.  From the beginning, God's purpose was for mankind to have rulership, dominion, mastery, authority and leadership over the earth and its environment.  I want to share some things that purpose reveals:  a.  Purpose determines design, b. Purpose determines potential, c.  Purpose determines natural abilities, d. Purpose determines capacity and ability, e. Purpose determines natural talent, f. Purpose determines natural desires, g. Purpose determines fulfillment and personal satisfaction, h. Purpose is the source of passion, i. Purpose gives existence its meaning, j. Purpose is the measure of success and failure.

Keep in mind, when God created us to do something, He designed us with the potential and the ability to see it through.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”  He gives you the ability to complete your vision and dreams.

Read and Understand

As I speak to other individuals many claim to not understand God's Constitution clearly.  Is that the situation in your case?  To not read His Word is a lack of communication with the King.  meaning you fail to take the serous time it takes to get to know Him.  Here is what He stated to His disciples and others while He was Here on earth.   “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  Now, if you truly have faith in the Name and Words of Christ the King, believing in that statement should not be a problem for you.  Take a minute to remember and read what King Jesus stated to His disciples concerning the rich man:

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.  Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

If you are a citizen in good standing with King Jesus and act according to His Word, that is a pure sign that you are a citizen in good standing.  This is what is called "A law abiding citizen".

Keep in mind what God's Constitution states:  "But as many as received Him to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name."  Believing in His name is a key component of your faith.  Not what many call "Christian faith" but your faith in King Jesus and His Word.

You Have Leadership Ability,
         It's Natural

So many times we relinquish abilities to others, just because they may speak well or dress in nicer apparel.

Keep in mind, the Father God created leadership abilities inside each of us. Every human has the potential for leadership, even though most of us never manifest it.  It just has to be cultivated.  The desire to lead and acheive greatness is natural even though many of us deny it.  It is a silent, passionate longing that exists in every individual's heart.  Leadership is your desire and your destiny.  Remember this, in order for one to become a good and great leader, you must first learn how to follow.  You must be a good learner.  Take for example, Jesus the Christ, our ultimate leader.  He took twelve men and trained them in the way of the Kingdom for three and a half years in words and deeds.  Do you remember what Jesus stated concerning His Father?  Most assuredly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.  You see, Jesus the King was a great follower.  His ability came naturally, because He obeyed His Father's commands.  Remember Jesus stated that He watches what His Father did, and He mimicked Him.  To mimic someone, is to copy what you see someone else do.  A true leader never seeks his own glory.  Do you recall what Jesus stated?  I can of Myself do nothing.  As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.  Embrace the fact that Jesus followed His Father's commands and principles to the letter.  This is why He was successful here on earth.  The question is, are you obeying the Word of your King?

Leadership is a process, not an overnight sensation.

God Keeps His Promise,
          If You Put Him First

When it comes down to the King's Word, He and His Word are one. Jesus always obeyed His Father, so He could make this statement: "I and My Father are one".

After Adam failed to take charge of his responsibility to God's command, God cursed the ground for man's sake..."Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life".  Though the curse was not directed at Adam or the man, it is trouble for mankind.  Now his life is marked by toil, thorns and thistles, sweat and finally death.  Is this what is going on today?  Hard work?  Has the Creator kept His Word?  After the flood the first action that Noah did was to put God first.  "Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar".   Now Noah knew priorities and where his allegiance lay.  God was pleased with Noah's action.  If you may notice, he gave the best animal and bird to God in his offering;  not what was left over.  The Lord said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done".  God will always keep His Word.  Being a citizen in good standing with the King is a big part of your character.  This should be reflected in all that you do.  Remember it was because of man that God destroyed the world in the first place; and it is because of the King that He offered a way out...the second man, His Son, King Jesus (the Word in the flesh).   "Therefore, as through one man's offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life".  Because of King Jesus, we have a right to live and a second chance.  God always keeps His promise.  Remember this, if a man's word isn't any good, then there is not much to him.

Rebellion Against God's Word

When you fail to love and obey God's Word or the King's principles, you fall in a very dangerous category.  Disobeying God's Constitution falls in the danger zone of rebellion.  Here is what God told the prophet Samuel concerning King Saul:  "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.  And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.  Because  you have rejected the Word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being King".  Keep in mind, God the creator wants absolute obedience to His Word, which are His principles for living an effective life while here on this planet called earth.

Saul's independent rebellious actions were as much a denial of God's authority as the recognition of Satan's supernatural power through witchcraft.  By the way, witchcraft was condemned by the law of Moses.  "You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying".  Keep in mind, God always has standards for His children and citizens.  If you are to be in good standing with the King, you must obey His principles.  Remember, your behavior here and now will determine your life hereafter.  The Creator also stated:  "Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them to be defiled by them.  I am the Lord your God".  Now take an evaluation of your thought life and mindset and see where you are in God's Word.  The punishment for witchcraft then was death.  Now God hasn't lowered His standard.  It is that Jesus is our mediator between us and the Father, but soon the chickens will come home to roost.

Remember, Saul's stubborn disobedience was essentially an act of idolatry because he  elevated his will above God the Source and Creator.  The rejection of God's Word resulted in the rejection of Saul as God's royal representative.  Are you obeying God's Word to the fullest or are you just bearing a title?

Power and Authority in Leadership

In these last days in which we now live, there are many leaders who have power, but no authority given by the King to lead His people.  To have the power to do something is quite different than having the authority to do it.  When Jesus the King sent out His twelve disciples He gave them power and authority.  "and when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease".  I want you to realize that Jesus called His twelve, from the multitude of followers.  In essence, only the ones Jesus the King called, He authorized to be representative of His Kingdom.  He even instructed them where to go, where not to go, what message to preach and to whom the message of the Kingdom was to be preached.  Read what the King instructed them:

"...Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.  But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.  And as you go, preach, saying, 'The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand".

One of the marks of a great leader, is to be able to follow instruction to the letter. That is called obedience.  From this point on, Jesus instructed them how to use the authority and power that was given to them.  "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons.  Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor beg for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals nor staff; for a worker is worthy of his food".  These commands of Jesus the King to His disciples had to be embraced by their faith in Him.  In other words, faith in Him, means faith in God's Word.  Jesus and His Father God are one.  "I and My Father are one". These are the words of the King.  Remember this:  Your greatest asset is your faith in God's Word.

We Desire Influence, Not Dominance

You should always keep that in the forefront of your minds--Influence not Dominance.  When you realize this truth, it most definitely assists you to understand why so many individuals act the way they do.  This is the reason tyrants are oppressive and harsh.  Have you ever noticed that when some people come into the position of power, their personalities seem to do a 180 degree turn for the worse?  They taste the nature of leadership, but they don't have the character to manage it, or themselves well.  This is the source of so many of the problems that we are seeing in this contemporary business world; as well as in our national political stage.

Whether you are aware of it or not, we all naturally seek power.  A homeless individual who sleeps in an abandoned vehicle, or under a bridge desires power, just as the individual who resides in a mansion.  We use so many different avenues to gain power, such as:  position of influence, money, association and membership in influential or elite clubs or groups, material status symbols, such as clothing, houses, automobiles and jets, educational achievements, status in society, such as living in a certain environment or neighborhood and an influential job or career.  There is nothing wrong with desiring to be successful, but know your priorities.  Remember what Jesus stated:

"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you".

The King wants you to be successful in all that you do, so you will be influential and a great influence for the Kingdom.  Read what God stated to Abraham, and how he became the richest man in his region.  Why would God make him wealthy?  In order to give him influence.  "I will make you a great nation.  I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you.  I will curse him who curses you and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed".  So you see, God the Father wants you to succeed, so that you can influence others.

A True Leader

There are so many that carry a title before their name.  There are those who believe that the title makes them who they are.  However, we have seen many people who have been placed in prominent positions with impressive titles yet have failed miserably because they have not understood that real leadership is manifested in performance and results, not just in a label.  Remember this:  True leadership goes far beyond the mechanics of most of the approaches that pervade our leadership programs in this day's society.  It has more to do with discovering a sense of meaning and significance in this life.  This distinction separates the leadership quality of passion from the hunger or lust for power.  Once again, true leaders do not seek power but are driven by a passion to achieve a noble cause.  Two great leaders, Dr. Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela, in the midst of strong opposition, stood by their principles regardless of what their environment encouraged.  What fueled their action?  Purpose and Passion.  A true leader takes no thought for their lives.  Deep inside each of us is a spirit with a big dream struggling to be free from the limitations of our past experiences, present circumstances and self-imposed doubts.  As a leader, you have to learn to totally trust the King

"Commit your way to the Lord.  Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass".

Your beliefs are a product of your thoughts.  Your thoughts create your beliefs. Your beliefs create your convictions.  Your convictions create your attitude.  Your attitude controls your perceptions, and your perceptions dictate your behavior.  All of that is the result of what you think your life should be.  In order for you to be what the King commands, your mind needs to be renewed.

"...and do not be conformed to this word, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God".

Psalm 37:5  Romans 12:2
