You Are Always to Forgive

I would like to continue on the subject of forgiving, because it is very important to our communication with the King.  If you are not the one who was sinned against, but the one who was disobedient (sinned), then I would advise you to think about this: Asking forgiveness is never  honest if you justify your behavior.  What you are saying in that case, is that circumstances warranted what you did.  That means if the same situation arises again, you probably would do the same thing.  That kind of attitude expresses no real sorrow and no repentance.

Forgive in the Hebrew language means "to cut loose".  Now that sounds sensible.  In other words, when you forgive someone, you release that person from everything for which you are holding them accountable.  When you ask forgiveness, you are admitting accountability.  You are expressing sorrow for your behavior and asking that you be released from what the other individual holds you accountable for.  Jesus the King put it this way:   “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

Keep in mind, if you have a wrong attitude, it gets in the Lord God's way.  It blocks the flow of His Spirit to you.  That means God must withhold from you many blessings that otherwise might come your way.  Unforgiveness binds you to that other individual with ungodly ties.  To be free, you must release them.  That releases you into openness.

Remember that forgiveness will not relieve the hurt.  But when you are free, god can easily wash the bitterness, anger, and hatred away.  Also, you do not have to feel like forgiving.  Forgiveness is not an emotion but a decision; an act of your will.  Choose to obey the Word and release the other individual.  The good feelings will most definitely follow.

Matthew 6:14-15

Life After Separation and Divorce

There is a lot of information written on marriage, but very little written on life after one's divorce or one's separation from a spouse.  Well, allow me to share with you this information.  The key to openness, the door to healing, and life after divorce, is forgiveness.  You need to understand that clearly; however, forgiveness does not get rid of the hurt.

There is no psychiatrist, no psychologist, no counselor who can heal a broken heart.  Only Jesus was anointed to heal the brokenhearted.  But you have to make your heart available to Him.  Forgiveness removes any walls between you and the Lord God.  Forgiveness is vertical as well as horizontal.  Hmmm!  Let me say it the other way around:  Unforgiveness toward a human being also blocks your fellowship with God your Creator.  Remember what King Jesus stated:  "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."  Remember, first things first (forgive).

When I had a religious mindset, I had a serious problem forgiving my former spouse.  But once I came into the knowledge of the truth, I began to understand what it meant to forgive.  I heard it said many times "I'm only forgiving you because I am a Christian.  I want to knock you out, but the Jesus in me won't allow me to."  That isn't true forgiveness.  Sometimes hurt turns into hate and then the devil is in the driver's seat.  Always go to God's Constitution for the answers.  Remember this statement:  "Be angry and do not sin.  Do not let the sun go down on your wrath."

Take note of this; anger that has turned to hatred means you have judged someone else and are blaming them.  When you begin to see them as the source of your problems, unforgiveness has gained hold on your heart.  After I came into the knowledge of the Kingdom, I took full responsibility of the demise of my marriage.

King Jesus made this statement when speaking of forgiveness:  “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."

Always remember, even with our spouse, we are to represent Kingdom culture.

Management of Your Tests and Trials

Kingdom citizens see tests and trials as exercising their faith in God's Word.  When you accept God's management mandates for yourself, you will be tested on many levels. There is no exception.  Paul the ambassador of the Kingdom of God, made this statement to the infant church, the Thessalonian church:  "But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts."  I  want you to notice, they were approved by God.  Not everyone is approved to represent the Kingdom.  (Some individuals God called, some God sent, and some just got up and went)

There are many that don't know how to manage trials and tests that come in their lives, and before them.  James another representative of the King stated it this way "Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience"  The question is, where does the testing come from?  Sometimes we can tell that the tests have come directly from God.  Sometimes they have been caused by other individuals.  Sometimes they seem to come through crisis-ridden circumstances.  But always, regardless of who is responsible, the tests come with the permission of the Lord God.  Sometimes it seems to come straight from the evil one, but King Jesus stands ready to assist us every minute.

Here is something that you should know:  Management testing comes with a price.  Paying the price means passing the test, and all tests aren't alike.  You may have to shed some of your pride.  You may have to pay a heavy price of time investment.  You may lose money instead of gaining it.  There is another representative of the Kingdom by the name of John who had suffered throughout his adult life for the Gospel of the Kingdom.  He wrote a prophetic message to his fellow citizens from the island of Patmos, to which he had been exiled.  "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer.  Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days.  Be faithful until death and I will give you the crown of life."  These are the direct Words from King Jesus.  The words from our King are permanent.  God will always keep His Word.  So don't sweat the small stuff.

Spreading the Culture of the Kingdom

King Jesus taught His disciples, and us, to call on His Father to restore Kingdom rule to the earth.  He wanted it as it had been (briefly) in the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve were managing the newly established outpost of Heaven.  In the Garden, just as in the Kingdom of Heaven, God's living Word was the law of the land.  Life was good.  The word "crisis" was not in their vocabulary.  Jesus left us a perfect example of how to cover all bases.  He stated:  "In this manner, therefore, pray:  Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven... " To this day, as people voluntarily put themselves under His lordship, they can become citizens of the Kingdom.  Over time, they came to learn the culture of Heaven.  They can learn God's principles, and they can learn to receive His help to obey Him.  In places across the globe they too can establish new outposts of the Kingdom.  You and I can be a part of this grand restoration effort.

You will notice that Jesus didn't once mention "Christian" in His prayer.  That is because we are not "Christian" but saints in God's Kingdom, not a religious group called "Christianity".  You will find that quite a few of those who wear the banner Christian, choose to obey God's written constitution only when it suites them,  and when there isn't much pressure against what they believe.  But a citizen of the Kingdom will live and die by the Word of God, regardless of the consequences.  Because that is who they are.  The ambassador Paul put it perfectly.  So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

While the word "crisis"will remain in the vocabulary of the citizens of Heaven as long as they live on this troubled world, the word will have a redemptive ring to it.  The same "management mandate" applies to us as 21st century citizens of the Kingdom.

Remember, our faith isn't what we believe, it is who we are.

Influencing Others Through the Kingdom

I realize that there are individuals that don't care to read or hear about the Kingdom of God because they view it as religious rhetoric.  This is because religious institutions have used God's Constitution as a religious book down through the centuries.  Now always remember these words:  The word testament is a legal term, not a religious term. The Old Testament shows us God's unchanging character in actions from Genesis through Malachi.  In the New Testament, Jesus was sent to restore what we had lost, a Kingdom.

If you take the time to study the New Testament, in the books of Matthew through Acts 1, you will learn that Jesus the King had only one message to teach and preach.  After His time in the wilderness, being tempted of the devil, He started off running.  "From that time Jesus began  to preach and to say, 'Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand".  Jesus was so concerned about getting it right, that He instructed His disciples on what to say and what to do.   These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.  Jesus even instructed them where to go and where not to go.

The message of the Kingdom was so important, that even after He had risen from the grave, He stayed here on earth another 40 days teaching the Gospel of the Kingdom.   "until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

Jesus wanted us to get the message correct, that He stayed an additional forty days.   Now, how important should the message of the Kingdom be to us? He wants us to get it right.  This is my purpose for being here, to ensure the correctness of the message of the Kingdom.

Identifying With the "Christian" vs God's Word

Individuals all over this world, who want to identify themselves with Christ, call themselves "Christians". Jesus never called His disciples "Christians", nor did He instruct them to take up such a title or name.  The first time you ever read or heard of that name was in the city of Antioch.  "Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch."  The very next time that you hear the word "Christian" mentioned was in the letter of 1st Peter.  It was at that time that many started embracing the title "Christian".  "Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter."  Paul made it very plain of these who believe in the Son of God.  " To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours."

If you may or may not have noticed, Paul never mentioned the name "Christian" or any other religious name or denomination.  Remember this, if people name you they will define you.  Study God's last will and testament , take inventory of your life and see if it matches up with what He states in His Constitution.  For it is that in which we shall be judged.  For the saints shall judge the world; not religious individuals called "Christians".  "Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? " If you notice again the word "Christians" didn't come up.  When you are prayerfully studying God's Word, please notice what is being said stated.  Notice what is not being stated.  There are things in the Word that are truly stated, but check to see if it is a statement of truth.  A good example:  "And he said: 'Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Question:  Did God take it away? Read and study God's Constitution thoroughly.

Crisis, the Source of Creativity

What is the purpose of a crisis in your life?   A crisis is simply a change in the environment that demands a new, unscheduled response.  This is one of the reasons I say that a crisis is the source of creativity.  By the way, never get discouraged when it comes.  If you are staying in the Word of the King, you should never sweat the small stuff.

When you see the crisis happening, it demands a response from you.  It demands a response, not a reaction.  To a large extent, you can control your thoughts, perceptions and responses.  If you adopt a Kingdom mindset about the crisis, your mind will not be paralyzed by fear.  Fear and faith can not occupy the same space at the same time.  It is impossible.  Often, you will find that you can come up with something totally new.  You will think of strategies and further responses that no one else is thinking of.

Now, let's look at one case in point, the ambassador Paul.  Here is one of his statements from his letter to the Romans:   "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."  My question to you:  How can you appoint a man with that perspective?  He believes, and he wants us to believe that God works all things for the good of those who love Him even the most horrendous things.  Keep in mind, Paul was acquainted with crisis.  He lost count of the number of times he was chased out of a town, banished, shipwrecked, stoned, etc.  We need to get a clue!  And yet he was firm in his perception that God works every single circumstance for His good.  Paul was a firm believer in the King's word.  Now, what about us?  If we are firm believers in God's documented Word, then why are we not living by it?  Question:  Was this true because Paul was an apostle, a guy who was extra-holy and extra-good?  Of course not!  It was because he loved the Lord God and he knew that god had called him according to His purpose, that is all.  Paul had a Kingdom mindset, not a religious mindset or a "Christian mindset".  Paul knew that he had been sent to assist in infiltrating the earth's culture with the kingdom culture.  The One who sent Him is in control of everything, including the latest crisis.

First Things First

Remember the first principle, that is maintaining a clear and open relationship with our God and Source is our first priority.  He is the author of our lives and the initiator of our visions.  We must endeavor to maintain a vital connection with Him at all times.  Here is what God's Constitution has to say in the book of John:  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."

Jesus is our life source:  "For in Him we live and move and have our being..." Also, I would like to state that the pursuit of our vision should not cause us to overlook our families.  Our relationship with our families should always remain intact.  The Apostle Paul, who was a representative and an ambassador for the Kingdom, stated it like this:  "But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."  Because leadership demands the giving of oneself to others, no leaders' time is fully his own.  His gifts, talents and experience are employed in service to others.  By the way, Dr. Munroe was one of those few individuals that knows that.

Leaders belong to their generations and not to themselves.  This has a direct effect on their families, close friends and others dear to them.  Jesus found Himself in this situation at the age of twelve when, after staying behind in Jerusalem to speak with the teachers in the temple, He had to state to His parents:  "...Why did you seek Me?  Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?"  Yet, He always respected Mary and Joseph.  Your family's needs are not neglected by the needs of your vision.  As you seek God, and make plans for carrying out your vision, make sure you have not neglected your most important responsibility next to the Lord God.  The leader must be careful to strike a balance between serving people and meeting his family responsibilities and other obligations.  By the way, my lovely wife is only second to the King.  If she isn't, believe me, there is a problem.  Say Amen!

Managing Your Priorities

I want to share with you this statement.  The choices we make regarding how to use our time and where to put our resources have an enormous impact on whether we achieve our purpose in this life.  This goes for those who we choose to associate with as well.

Managing your priorities means choosing what is important among many available alternatives.  It is identifying the goals and decisions that will take you to your destiny.  The representative of the kingdom, known to many as the apostle Paul, expressed this critical component of prioritization for effective living when he wrote:  All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Remember this, many things in life are good, but aren't good for you and the purpose you were born for.  You must determine which of them are best for you in light of your leadership calling.  You are the one that will have to stand before the King and His Father God and give an account of your actions.  Jesus the King made this statement while speaking to a bunch of religious individuals.  But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

Now focusing on your vision will protect you from trying to do everything.  Your greatest challenge will not be in trying to determine what is good versus what is bad, but rather what is the best choice versus what is merely a good choice.  Priority is the basis for effective decision-making.  You should remember, your vision should influence the way you conduct your entire life so that you prioritize your activities and commitments in keeping with the vision.  Sometimes, the choices we have to make are overwhelming, and we can feel the pressure from others to do things that are not really necessary.  Now, to avoid overcommitting and to keep from becoming entangled in distracting activities you must establish a hierarchy of priorities.  Jesus the Christ stayed focused on His number one priority--the Kingdom.

Leaders and Leadership, A Defining Moment

I have learned so much from my friend and brother, Dr. Munroe.  It has been mostly his ministry that has caused me to be where I am today in my purpose.  I love sharing what I have learned with others and the world.

Now, though we are called to be leaders, we cannot become leaders unless we know what a leader is and understand the nature of true leadership.  On one hand, it is virtually impossible to fully define the concept of leadership because of its complexity.  Leadership consists of an array of diverse qualities, qualifications, components, skills, capabilities and even unquantifiable elements. On the other hand, for more than two thousand years, the study of leadership--what leadership is and what makes an individual a leader--has produced a body of knowledge, information and references. For this reason, leadership will always remain somewhat a mystery. Through reading, studying God's Constitution and living the Kingdom life, I have grown to reflect His presence in my everyday life more every day.  By the way, did I fail to mention that I have a wonderful, Spirit-filled and sensitive wife, that assists and encourages me in my leadership abilities?

These findings are worth our consideration because they provide a framework through which we can identify qualities and principles that give leadership a measure of definition.  Our best example is the life of Christ our King.  But you must view Him for who He is (King), not a religious leader.  Do you remember what King Herod asked the wise men from the east?  "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?"  Jesus is the ultimate leader, and we are kings and He is King of kings.  "And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:  King of kings and Lord of lords."

It has been my experience to watch many individuals copy other individuals to be an effective leader, instead of going to the One who created them.  If you want to become a great leader, go to the One who was the greatest follower and study His life and words while He was here on earth.

Every Individual Was Created for Their Unique Role

From the beginning of the fall of mankind, humans have sought to enslave one another.  Whether in the physical sense or mental sense.  What it has created is hatred and distrust among all mankind.  Each individual is meant to fulfill his unique part of the "whole", each being responsible for leadership in his sphere of assignment and accountable ultimately to God the Source and Creator.  In essence, each of us was created to be a leader, led by the Spirit of God!  No one is to lord it over others or prevent them from maximizing their potential.

Please note:  Jesus at no time forced anyone to serve or obey Him.  His Father God created man with free will.  God created man in His likeness:  So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  However, both male and female rebelled against his direct accountability to God and disobeyed Him.  The result was that the Spirit of God, who had been breathed into man at creation, could not remain with man's spirit.  In rejecting God, man left himself at the mercy of his external environment.  Over the centuries, although the Creator still worked in the lives of those who sought and responded to Him, this lack of protection eventually led to the establishment of external government in order to restrain humanity from unchecked abuse of power and authority.  Consequently, an unnatural relationship of leader and follow, ruler and ruled, master and mastered, was established.

The evidence of this interruption in God's purpose and plan for each human being to exercise leadership is underscored in the pronouncements He made to the first man and woman if they disobeyed His Word:   And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”  And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.  The original Adam was perfect in every way.

Remember, when man obeyed God's Word, he was in the right position.

Your Direct Leadership Responsibility

When you work for an employer, do it as though you are working for the Lord directly, because you are.  Do you recall what God stated to Moses concerning the children of Israel?   I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.  Well, we are God's children, not His servants, through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus the Christ.

Yet, even though they were meant to live directly under God as His own people, and even after they were given their freedom from slavery, these very Israelites seemed to feel the need for human domination over them in order for function.  They eventually cried out for a human King and God's response to their request was a surprise.  He attempted to discourage them from setting up a human ruler and declared His desire to be the direct authority do their lives.  Sadly, they did not listen.  Then the Lord spoke to His representative (Samuel the prophet).  "And the Lord said to Samuel, 'Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should reign over them."

Remember, after the Israelites insistence of having a human king, like every other nation on earth, God granted them their request, but strongly warned them of the dangerous consequences of having another man dominate their capacity for leadership.  Now take a few minutes to read I Samuel 8:9-18  It is very important to note that this does not imply and should not be taken to mean, that God designed human beings to have a  chaotic society without accountability to each other or without subjection to authority.  On the contrary, God is a God of excellence, and He created everything to function in decency and order.  Let all things be done decently and in order.  Always please remember, God is a God of order.  Finally, the book of Revelation expresses the fact that leadership responsibility is the Creator's permanent purpose for humanity.  There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

So do not concern yourself with the small stuff.  We are on the winning side.  Stay in the Word of God.

Our Direct Leadership Responsibility

I want to share with you this statement: "You were not created to be dominated." This is why, whenever a human being is being subjugated by another human being, whether it is by a governing system or forced labor, they have an inevitable desire and will to throw off this unnatural restraint.

Subjugated (definition)--to bring under control or subjection, to conquer 2) to cause to become subservient; subdue.

In God's original purpose and plan, He never intended for there to be some individuals who are always leaders and others who are always followers or "subordinates" among men, as we have known to be in today's world.  We were all intended to exercise his authority and dominion as a corporate entity on this earth, displaying His power, wisdom, influence and glory.  Keep in mind, we were designed to be subjected only to God's Spirit, who would rule in our hearts and then establish self-government within us.

If you take the time to read God's Constitution carefully, this principle is seen in God's assignment to the first man in the government of Eden.  Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work and keep it.  If you may or may not have noticed, His first instruction to the man was to "work" or in other words "cultivate".  This assignment was not accompanied by any supervisor, manager or boss to oversee the man's responsibility for the task assigned him was directly to God and not to another man.  When you have a man or woman working for you with character and integrity there is not any need for supervision from another.  Honesty and integrity is their top priority, because they realize that they are working for the Lord and Creator.  Their accountability for the task assigned them was directly to God and not to another man.

We as Kingdom Citizens are accountable, and will be held accountable, even for non-productive conversations.  But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.  These are the Words of the King.

We Were Created to Serve, and
Destined For Greatness

Take a moment to evaluate your position in this life.  Think about your purpose.  You were created to be deployed. You were created to serve the world around you with Kingdom compassion and Kingdom energy.  The Kingdom of God is characterized by a culture of servanthood.  Jesus is the foremost example of this king of servanthood.  He both modeled it and taught it.  He explained to His disciples that they should not look for status or high position.  They should not lord it over other people, but rather serve others.  King Jesus made this statement:  ...You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

Please note:  The measure of greatness has nothing to do with position, power or prestige; it is service.  In King Jesus' own words, Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.  Someone who is "first" is the first one whom people call on when they have a need.  A person who is "great" may or may not hold a political office or some worldly leadership position, but that individual is seen as hardworking and dependable.

Question:  Are people always asking you for your assistance?  If that be the case, you should take it as a good sign that you are reflecting the character of your King.  If not, it may be time for you to evaluate your behavior and attitude, your work habits and your motivations.  Maybe people can tell that you are not inclined to serve and that, in fact, you are rather self-focused.  Again, maybe people can tell that instead of reaching out to others, you tend to hold back or even demand services from them.  Remember what King Jesus stated:  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Our Kingdom Deployment

The two key words in this devotional are Employment and Deployment. A successful career should not be your goal in this life.  More than a good job, our goal as citizens of the kingdom should be a successful deployment.  Now I suppose you would say, what do I mean by that?  Well, lets look at the word deployment versus employment; two words that are related but not the same.

As a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, hour employment, your job--meaning the place where you earn a paycheck--gives  you an opportunity to serve and to use the gift God the Creator has given you in the context of a corporate group.  Your actual place of employment may be large or small.  It even could be at your place of residence.  In most cases, your influence will  be relatively limited.  However, to be deployed as a citizen of God's Kingdom means that you have discovered what your gifts are and you are able to "serve your gift" to your entire generation.  You are serving in the context of a much larger group of people and for a  much larger "organization", the Kingdom of Heaven.  As you work and serve, you are doing far more than earning a salary or a paycheck, and doing your small part to keep your local economy moving.  Working and serving comes from your relationship with the King, and you are obeying His wishes.  You are able to do your work because you can draw on the energy and other resources that He supplies.  Keep this in mind, deployment is the giving of your natural gift to the world around you.  When you get deployed, you serve up your gift to this world.  Deployed as a Kingdom Citizen, you can be sure that the results of your labor will have eternal significance.  Your work matters and the fruit of your work remains.  Remember, what King Jesus stated:  Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

An individual who has been deployed has come into a position and is ready for use, much like a soldier who is positioned  in battle formation alongside other soldiers.  Once again, I will remind you that your faith in God's Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.  It is the key.

The Idea of Managing Goes Back to the Beginning

There are so many individuals who claim to know King Jesus, but reflect very little of His characteristics in their lifestyles.  They know little or nothing concerning the principles of the Kingdom of God.  Most of them do not even realize that they are potential citizens of the kingdom.  Certainly, they have not comprehended that the Kingdom of God has a culture of its own, laws, and a purpose for existence, just as their earthly countries and kingdoms do.

In God's Constitution, it states in Psalm May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.  The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.  The Lord of heaven and earth has given the earth into the hands of men and women.  But what the Psalm does not state, is that humankind has not done a very good job of managing that gift.  In fact, people seem to have done their best to mess it up.  Of course Satan has inserted himself into the equation as well.  By this time, eons after the Garden of Eden, it can be hard to tell who is most at fault.  The Apostle Paul made this statement under the anointing of the Holy Spirit For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.  The whole world lurches from one crisis to another.  Every since the Fall, the planet and it unmanageable population have been in a management crisis.

Remember this, Any of the individual events that we term a "crisis" stems from the underlying management crisis of the human race as we know it.  God, who never gives up and whose heavenly kingdom is never in a crisis, has been working to regain the kingdom on earth every since one heart at a time.

Jesus, God's only Son, replied to His disciples on how they should pray.  Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Jesus taught them, and us, to call on His Father to restore Kingdom rule to earth to make it as it had been (briefly) in the Garden of Eden; when Adam and Eve were managing the newly established outpost of Heaven.

Your faith in God's Word causes you to be obedient.

The Greatest Threat In the World

I truly agree with my late friend Dr. Munroe when he stated:  "The greatest threat to the world is religion".  Nuclear weapons, terrorism, SARS, shifting governments, military coups, and AIDS are simply tools used by religion.  Remember this one thing:  More wars have been fought in the name of some type of religious group, whether it be Islam or Christianity, more than any other influence in this world.

Millions have died over the past 2000 years under the destructive hand of religious zeal.  Misplaced and misguided religious passion has produced such historical scars as the Crusades, the Inquisition, ethnic cleansing and the horror of the Holocaust.  By the way, the Crusades were about making those who weren't "Christian" to become "Christian"; something that Jesus--nor the apostles--never demanded or forced on others.  We all have the power of choice--free will.  Jesus had one message, "The Kingdom".  In fact, Jesus was so filled with His purpose from His Father, that after He had fasted forty days and been tempted of the devil in the wilderness, His first and only message was the Kingdom.  From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Now the question arises: Why is religion so powerful and controlling?  Why is it more powerful than politics, military arms, and scientific advancement?  Because religion is not just a social, cultural, political or ideological factor. Instead it finds its power in the personal chambers of the soul of the individual.  Embrace this:  Within the soul we discover the source of the private motivation that forms perceptions and behaviors.  Man is more willing to die for the sake of his religion than for any political, social or ideological reason.

When Jesus the King came preaching the Kingdom of Heaven, it was an invitation to reclaim what we had lost.  Even after He recruited some of His disciples, His message was still the same.  It wasn't on healing or raising the dead.  Those are the attributes that come with the kingdom.  Remember, Christ never called His believers "Christians".  The people of Antioch first called them that name.  Read Acts 11:19-26

We Have the Power to Change Our Life

As I mentioned in one of my earlier devotionals, the word, saint comes from the same root as the word, sanctified.  To be sanctified means "to be set apart for a specific use; to be reserved for a special purpose".  Being saints also means that we are equipped and empowered to live in victory and exercise our dominion authority right now, in our everyday lives.  We don't have to wait until we die or until Jesus returns to start enjoying our Kingdom benefits.  That means we can take charge of our situation,  It also means that we don't have to just scrape by from day to day, barely making ends meet and desperately hanging on by our fingernails until the weekend or our next paycheck.  We have Kingdom  authority and the Lord wants us to use it.  He wants to bless us and bring us into the full potential He has planted in us.  All He wants is for us to be obedient.  He waits for us to avail ourselves in faith of all that He has made available to us.  Remember what King Jesus stated:     “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.  Jesus also made this statement concerning loving him and the father:  “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.  If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.  Even thought Jesus the King was speaking to His disciples.  These words apply to His children today (you and I)

Keep in mind, it is a matter of grooming our Kingdom mentality, of learning to thank, talk and act like the royalty we are rather than like the galley slaves the devil has told you we are.  Unfortunately, this isn't a natural mindset for us, and most unbelievers have trouble making the change from a religious mindset to a kingdom mindset.  So many look  at their daily struggles with an attitude of despair or resignation, assuming that their circumstances will never improve, and they should simply try to make the best of it.  Everyday is filled with worry and stress over making ends meet.  Now, is that any way for a king to think?  What kind of a king complains or worries about paying his bills?  It is all in the mental mindset.  Remember, your faith in God's Word is your greatest asset.

God Created Us to Manage the Earth

Adam was the first and only man God created.  He could not have expected to know automatically what he was supposed to do.  So the Lord God had to give him instructions.  He told Adam and Eve:  God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”  Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Now all along, the Lord God's motivations, His reason for creating the human race, was management.  You could refer to these words as His "management mandate".  These words express God's original intent.  They show us His original purpose for the planet that we call earth with words both simple and complicated at the same time:  simple, in that He wanted to establish His Kingdom rule on earth; complicated, in that He created such a profusion of life that managing it (as Adam found out a little later) was not going to be easy.  God has given a big responsibility to a very fallible being.

Keep this in mind, when Adam and Eve rebelled against Him, He did not change the mandate.  He only changed the conditions under which it would be performed.  We have inherited those conditions and we have also inherited the mandate.  For centuries and centuries later, billions of people live on the same planet.  Only a fraction of them have ever known anything about God's original intention for them.  Instinctively, because they have been made in His image, they know they are supposed to manage something.   But, unaware of the One who created them and buffered by endless challenges to their survival and happiness; most of them do not know that this impulse to be managers comes from the Lord God and that He wants them to bring His Kingdom management to this planet in which we live.

The Kingdom of Ignorant Kings

So many of us really don't have a clue who we are and that is a serious problem.  We have become a kingdom of ignorant kings; ignorant of our identity, ability, power and authority.  Long ago we forgot--if we ever knew--all the enemy stole from us.  We have been calling ourselves "Christians", which is a religious title that has no power or authority.  We have been deposed, defeated and dejected like the prodigal son.  We sit in the mud and stench of the pig sty, nibbling on dry corn husks, never lifting the eyes of our spirit to behold the riches of our Father's estate that is ours if we will only reach out and claim them.

Keep in mind, our greatest enemy today is neither Satan nor sin, because Jesus defeated both at the cross.  Power isn't the problem either.  We have power.  That is why the Lord God did not send power to fix our problems.  Our greatest enemy today is ignorance.  What we do not know is killing us; or at least depriving us of a full abundant life.  Remember what God stated in His Constitution to Hosea the representative:  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.  By the way, the word "priest" can be translated as "representative", because that is exactly what they were.

The antidote for ignorance is most definitely knowledge, not entertainment, which is what most church organizations and denominations call "praise and worship". So, God sent us His Word, His living Word in the person of His Son.  Christ the King, came to remove our ignorance about God and His Kingdom and to teach us our heritage and kingship as children of the living God.  As long as we live in Satan's religious darkness, we will  never know that we are prisoners of our own territory, slaves of an illegal despot.
