The Contrast Between American Christianity and the Kingdom of God

8/31/2014

Picture
It has been my experience that those who believe in Jesus Christ, and go under the title of "Christianity", view it as a way of prosperity. They embrace it as a way to get rich or to get out of poverty.  Because of this thinking,  many religious leaders have popped up throughout many communities in the United States and have influenced many abroad.  The United States, and its religious leaders, have destroyed the true meaning of the word prosperity in terms of the Kingdom of God.  It has painted a false picture of the Kingdom.  Most "Christians" equate Christianity and Jesus as being financially independent of all financial troubles and challenges.  Christianity, by the way, is nothing but another religious organization.  But in the Kingdom of God this isn't the case at all.  Biblical prosperity encompasses peace, favor, contentment, comfort, joy.  In short, it is every good thing that comes from God.  That is far removed from a financial windfall.  We all know that money doesn't equate to peace, joy and favor. Sometimes I wonder what Constitution these believers in Christ are reading. By the Constitution I mean God's Word--the Bible--which is God's Word for all humanity.

Focus Point:  In the United States there are many cultures and many denominations that are growing because people are looking and searching for the kingdom, but often what they find is a leader who has sold out to material possessions.  This has resulted in many beliefs, doctrines and practices that are widely existing in churches across America.  Preachers here don't preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, they preach the gospel of religion and financial blessing; so many individuals come to the church to get or be blessed.  Many preachers may touch on the kingdom in their messages, but in reality they don't know what the Kingdom really is.  (sad!)

What I have found also is this:  the religious leaders that have some knowledge of the kingdom are afraid to fully speak on it, because they don't want to lose their finances.  This is sad but true.  Do you remember what Christ stated to Apostle Peter?  They had just eaten breakfast by the sea:

Constitutional Scripture:  John 21:15-16  So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”  He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”  16) He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”  He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

Now to tend means to shepherd.  Lambs need to be fed; sheep need to be guided.  Peter would need to care for diverse people in different ways, as Christ had done with His disciples.

Now those of you who are pastors, the Lord Christ is going to hold you accountable.  I like to use the term "the chickens will come home to roost".

What I am finding is that a lot of preachers here in America make "Christianity" come across as the "American dream" rather than God's Constitution.  There are preachers and pastors in denominations that can't preach or teach the kingdom because of their deacon board or denomination.  Keep in mind, these individuals will be held accountable for their actions.  What I am finding here in the United States, Christian Evangelists and others who claim to know the Lord, have exported a gospel as a financial means to get ahead in this world system with an American cultural paradigm (meaning pattern or model to follow).  This is not in line with characteristics of the Hebrews, their language or their culture of the scripture.  There are times that many of the megachurch speakers come off as motivational speakers rather than God's Ambassadors.  Many preach a message that tickles the ears of their members--messages that make one happy and lack substance.  Once again do you remember what God told the leaders of Israel who failed to do the exact thing I am speaking of?

Constitutional Scripture Hosea 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Constitutional Scripture  II Timothy 4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers 4) and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

The Concept of the Kingdom and the Kingdom Itself

8/30/2014

Picture
I would like to start out by saying this: knowing the King and reading His Word are entirely two different things. One is reading what the King requires of us and the other is obeying what He requires of us.  Your belief and faith must be grounded in obeying His Word.

Constitutional Scripture:
Deuteronomy 6:5  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

Now I want you to remember, these are the same words Jesus echoed while He was on earth.  This should show you that Christ was faithful to His Father's commands and principles.  The question is this:  Why are these who call themselves "Christian" deviating from His standard:

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 22:37-39  Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38) This is the first and great commandment. 39) And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Focus Point:  Once you accept the concept of the Kingdom, then the journey begins with unbelievers of His Word, to true believers of His Word.  With the emphasis on "true".  A Kingdom Citizen will always give his allegiance to the King, because he knows who his Creator is and who is his source.  However, a religious individual takes enough Constitution from the King's principles to cause them to feel good, as a religious individual.  True believers of the King are filled with the King's presence and that presence is the Holy Spirit.

Constitutional Scripture:  Acts 1:8  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This is the qualification of a true believer of the King's Word.  They will obey all of His truth, being submissive to the Holy Spirit.  In that process they become ambassadors from the Kingdom.  Representing the Kingdom government and its culture.

Whenever we are in the presence of an ambassador, we are in the presence of the government he or she represents.  This is why I truly believe that there are so many of those who call themselves "Christians" while their behavior is totally the opposite of a kingdom ambassador and believer of His Word.

Focus Point:  Do you remember what the King stated concerning lukewarm individuals who failed to truly embrace His Word?

Constitutional Scripture:  Revelation 3:15-16   “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

I want you to keep this in mind, once you embrace God's Kingdom concept and accept His Kingdom, you will discover that religious people will become your enemies.  You will discover that the King only had one message:

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 9:35   Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Jesus even instructed His disciples where to go and what to preach.

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 10:5-8  These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6) But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7) And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

One of the greatest threats to the Kingdom is
Religion and an unrighteous government.

Color Issue, Prejudice and The Mindset That Enslaves

6/7/2014

Picture
When I think of these two words--color issue and prejudice--the word that comes to mind is enslavement; and I see a lot of it in the building that we call the church.  By the way, there still is a lot of it in THE church--now I am speaking of the people.  The building where people attend Sunday morning or Wednesday evening services isn't the church, it is only a pavilion where they gather to fellowship together.  Many people fail to really study or meditate on the Words of our King, so they misunderstand and miss the mark of the true understanding of our purpose.  We are the church.

Many religious people think by going to church services, that are supposed to be designed for serving and praising God and to equip the saints for ministry, that they are doing the will of the King.  Many think by doing good works--while still harboring color issues and prejudice in their hearts (meaning their bodies and minds)-- that they are in good standing with the King.  I must say, that the devil and his evil forces have done a good job of deceiving many citizens of the Kingdom.  This is because they fail to be on guard and to stay in the Word of God.

Constitutional Scripture:  II Timothy 2:15   Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

It is sad to say, that the majority of people on this planet that we call earth have a religious mindset and a slave mentality.  Let me stay on course here, concerning the stealth color issue and prejudice prevails in the church building on Sunday mornings throughout this country.

It is sad to see so many African Americans attend churches where the demographics of the congregation doesn't fit the leadership; while the congregation is multi-cultural, the leadership is not. On top of that, they aren't being taught the message that Jesus the Christ commanded us to teach His citizens--"the Kingdom of God".  What I have noticed in some of these large churches is that people of color are only in low-level positions, even though there may be many with the qualifications to lead and are very capable of leadership.  This is an evil that is embraced, especially in the southern Caucasian churches in the south. It goes back to the slave/master mentality. So to counteract this behavior, many African Americans choose to attend "all black churches", not taking into consideration that they aren't teaching what Christ specified:  "The Kingdom of Heaven".  I will go as far as to say this, most churches don't preach or teach on the Kingdom, because they don't have a clue what a kingdom is.  Some may speak concerning the kingdom principles, but only in the mindset of a religious format.  I have seen this for years and I have traveled through these United States; but it is only now that God has allowed me to write and speak on this demonic evil that permeates the church (meaning the people not the pavilion) for God lives in people, not buildings made with men's hands.

Focus Point:  What I have also seen is many African Americans are embracing the African culture as their own.  How can you embrace a culture that is in conflict with the Kingdom?  This too is a distraction from keeping God's people from acknowledging the truth.  Keep in mind that we are in a spiritual warfare. Don't be deceived.

Constitutional Scripture:  II Corinthians 10:3-4  For though we live in the world, we do not war as the world does. 4) For the weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world.  On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds,

Please note:  I realize that this may offend but will educate.  I want you to be aware that when you obey the Word of the King, you don't sweat the small stuff.  You fear no man, because God's Kingdom lives in you.

Focus Point:  If you have noticed, I never used the word "Racism" because there is only one "Race"--Human.  When God, our Source and Creator, separated the people at the Tower of Babel, He did it through language, not the color of one's skin.

Constitutional Scripture:  Read Genesis 11:1-9

The Next Generation and Their Inheritance

5/12/2014

Picture
I want you to keep in mind, Jesus the Christ came to reintroduce the Kingdom of God to us.  Through that offering of His life on the cross, provides the means by which we could enter into that kingdom.  A very critical part of our introduction to the powerful truth of the Kingdom is about our inheritance as children of God.  The book of Matthew in God's Constitution, refers to a parable that Jesus introduced which is referring to that inheritance. The parable itself is about judgment and has placed the righteous, pictured as sheep, on His right hand and the unrighteous, pictured as goats, on His left hand.

Please note:  Jesus used Himself as King, not a religious individual, but King.

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 25:34-40   Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35) for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36) I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37) “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38) When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39) Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40) And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Please notice:  Jesus referred to Himself as King of a Kingdom, not a religious individual.  He also referred to the righteous as brothers, not servants.  We are joint heirs with Jesus, sons of God; not servants in the kingdom.  Know your place in the Kingdom of God.  Know your inheritance.

How Will You Be Remembered After Living on Planet Earth?

4/11/2014

Picture
Envision a funeral of a loved one.  Now imagine yourself driving to the church where the body is laid out.  As you walk to the front of the church where the body is and look inside the casket, you come face to face with yourself.  Are you now envisioning this?  This is your funeral, twenty-three years from today.  All these people have come to honor you and to express their feelings, thoughts, love and appreciation for your life.   As you take a seat and wait for the service to begin, you look at the program which was given to you at the door when you first arrived.  There are several individuals that will speak.

The first speaker is from your family, immediate and extended:  your children, brothers, sisters, nephews nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandchildren who have come from all over the country to say goodbye.

The second speaker is to be one of your friends, someone who can give a sense of who you were as a person before and after you sought the kingdom.

The third speaker is from your employment or profession.

The fourth speaker is from the church that you attended or a community service organization in which you served.

The fifth and final speaker is your spouse.

Focus Point:  Now take a minute to think deeply concerning the previous scene. What would you like each of these speakers to say about you and your life? What kind of husband or wife, father or mother, would you like their words to reflect?  What kind of mentor or mentee were you?  What kind of friend or working associate were you?

Focus Point:  Before you read any further, please take a few minutes to seriously consider these questions.  I want you to know I firmly believe that the greatest tragedy in this life is not death, but life without purpose and the fulfillment of one's potential.

Remember the greatest tragedy in life is not death, but life; the life that fails to fulfill its purpose and potential.

Focus Point:  Now living an effective life, is operating in your purpose using your potential to accomplish your destiny.  You may ask yourself how can I know my purpose?  The answer lies in what Jesus stated:

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 6:33  But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.

Focus Point:  Of all the things you do, seek God's government for your life.  His righteousness is His laws and principles that will be your standard for living on planet earth.

Thought:  I truly believe that it is better to have never been born than to live and not fulfill the purpose for which I was given life.  God's Constitution supports or echoes this statement:

Constitutional Scripture:  Ecclesiastes 6:3-6  If a man begets a hundred children and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but his soul is not satisfied with goodness, or indeed he has no burial, I say that a stillborn child is better than he—4) for it comes in vanity and departs in darkness, and its name is covered with darkness. 5) Though it has not seen the sun or known anything, this has more rest than that man, 6) even if he lives a thousand years twice—but has not seen goodness. Do not all go to one place?

Definition of Thought:  Now the assertion of this passage is that, it would be better for an individual if they had never been born, than for him to live on this planet called earth for many years and not to fulfill the purpose for which God the Creator and Lord gave him at birth,.  In essence, when you become aware of the tremendous potential God the Father has instilled inside of you, you are obligated to release that wealth to the world around you.

Your Purpose Serves As a Guide

4/2/2014

Picture
When the pilot sits in the cockpit of a plane and presses the ignition to start the engines, he has with him both the end of the journey and the intended path to reach that end.  Unlike a ticket holder who has only the vision of the final destination, the pilot knows both the final destination and the safest route to reach that airport.  The choices he makes on the path to his final destination will always be guided by his purpose and the goals related to his purpose.

Now, understand, that even as goals are directed by purpose and predict choices, they also create priorities. If a new airline sets the first of January as the target date to begin service in western China, the search firm will not focus their attention on the east coast of China.  That sphere of service will not be a priority.  Likewise, if the goals include the objective of purchasing planes by the first of April, the financial consulting group will have to make the procurement of funds a priority so that this can happen.  Purpose informs goals which define priorities.

Keep this in mind:  God is the source of all purpose.  His plan to save mankind was the guiding purpose behind Jesus' coming to planet earth and all that He did and said while He was here.  His purpose dictated His companions, predicted His choices, created priorities in His life, determined His decisions and provided a measure for progress.

Please note:  Jesus made choices that fulfilled His destined purpose. Throughout His life, Jesus was guided by the Father's predetermined will.  On His baptism, He formally began to walk in that way by choosing to be baptized to "fulfill all righteousness".  He who was sinless certainly did not need to be baptized for the remissions of sins, but Jesus was careful to do all that God had laid out for Him!  Again, Jesus always was obedient and always stayed true to His purpose.  Read what Jesus stated to John the Baptist:

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 3:13-15   Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” 15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.

Focus Point:  Now keep in mind, that Jesus purpose predicted His choices. Again and again it states that Jesus' behaved Himself in a certain manner to fulfill what God had predestined.  Also, remember, that Jesus always stayed on track and in line with His Father's purpose for His time on this earth.

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 4:12-17  Now when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee. 13 And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:  15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles:  16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” 17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  (reference:  Isaiah 9:1-2)

Focus Point:  Now I want to inform you that having a religious mindset will be one of your greatest obstacles.

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 12:14  Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him

Be strong and courageous in declaring the gospel of the Kingdom
Make aware those who are still preaching and teaching anything but the gospel of the Kingdom that they need "to get a clue".
Preach the gospel of the Kingdom, as Jesus preached!

Coming Up Through the Years

1/31/2014

Picture
As I was growing up in the streets of New York City, I remember at the age of six how Malcolm X would make speeches concerning freedom of the mind of the Negro.  That is what we were called back in those days.  I really enjoyed the way he would speak so boldly in the middle of the sidewalks and streets.

He would say something like, "We need to change the way the white man has us Negros thinking" or "We have to change our thinking from the white man".  At that time I really didn't grasp what he meant, and how it related to the Bible.

What I did notice was, he had another book in his hand called the "Quran".  At that time I thought he was speaking of the Bible, because the wording sounded similar to the Old Testament.  What I later learned, was that they thought of Jesus as a prophet, not the Son of God.  By the way, this information that I am sharing with you happened back in the  mid 1950's.  Malcolm X was a bold, inspiring advocate for the Negro (that is what African-Americans were called back then). But even in certain areas of Brooklyn the word ni***r was placed on people of color.

I was trained and raised by a God-fearing mother.  She taught me how to respect authority.  But as I listened to Malcolm's speeches and experiences, the police, who were the authority in my neighborhood, never respected us as hard working African Americans.  The law says we have freedom of speech, but if you speak of anything that was constructive to build our community, they would call it "inciting to riot".

As I grew to learn and know more about Malcolm X, I learned he was of the same mindset as Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King.  The only difference was that he chose another path.

Being around him as a child taught me a lot about how to become a man and not a puppet for the society in which I lived.  The one main thing that I disagree with was, the organization he was involved with, called "The Nation of Islam, the Black Muslim".  By the way, Malcolm X later left their leadership because of things he discovered within that leadership.

When I think of Malcolm's journey on this earth, I conclude that he was seeking truth and righteousness.  In essence, he was seeking the Kingdom of God.

Yes, it was truth.  Dr. King, Mandela and Malcolm wanted freedom for all people, especially for the people of color.  I must say, I want freedom for all people, but mostly the freedom of the mind.  That only comes through a transformation of the mind.  Through reading, studying, obeying and submitting your will to the power of the Holy Spirit, which is the extended Spirit of God.  We call Him the Governor, in the Kingdom.

Constitutional Scriptures:

Romans 12:1-2  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Matthew 10:5-8   These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Many individuals who call themselves "Christians" live such shabby lives, and have the nerve to say that they love the Lord.  Read what the King says about that:

Constitutional Scripture:  John 14:21  He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

God Implements His Plan of Redemption

1/25/2014

Picture
Remember, the God who designed you for eternal life still desires the fellowship with you that He originally intended.  He sent Jesus into the world to take away the root problem of your sin so eternity can once more be yours.  I want you to know, that as I write, this, I can feel the joy of the Spirit go through my body!

Constitutional Scripture: Romans 8:1-2  There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Focus Point:  Again the apostle Paul makes this statement in the Constitution:

Galatians 5:16  I say then, walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Paul states again in the Constitution:

Constitutional Scripture:  I Corinthians 15:45  And so it is written:  "The first man Adam became a living being."  The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

Constitutional Scripture:  Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Keep in mind, that God didn't need to save you from sin and death to meet His needs. He was doing great without you.

Focus Point:  Only when we recognize that coming to God is for our benefit, not God's, does God's grace make any sense.  Grace is God caring enough to rework His original plan for the fallen race of mankind.

Remember what the Constitution states:

Constitutional Scripture:  John 3:36  He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Christ came to redeem your spirit.  He came to lift you from a life centered around the interests, power and desires of your body to a life centered in God.

Please note:  The word redeemed means "to purchase again".

Focus Point:  Remember, we were originally God's property, but satan stole us from God.  Jesus paid the redemptive price through death on the cross so you could be restored to eternal life and fellowship with God.  When Jesus saved us from sin and death, He rekindled our potential spirit by giving us His Holy Spirit to live in us and to be connected to our spirit.

Through Jesus the Christ, God renewed our spiritual life and
reconnected our soul to His fountain of
wisdom and knowledge.

You Are Only Dirt

1/23/2014

Picture
Now there is a statement that will raise your eyebrows.  It came from the ground and needs the products from the ground to stay alive.  Jesus made this statement He asked the Pharisees:

Constitutional Scripture:  Matthew 15:16-20a  So Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17) Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18) But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. 19) For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. 20) These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

Now the word psyche, the Greek word translated "heart" literally means "the core of the spirit".  It is what goes into your spirit that destroys you.  Now cancer may destroy your body, but it can't harm your spirit.  It is true, your spirit may become depressed by the cancer's effect upon your body, but ultimately your spirit will live if you stay attached to the Lord--your source.  That's why rebellion against God is such a serious matter.  When you detach yourself from your Source, your spirit man dies or enters a state of eternal paralysis, void of a relationship and communion with God the Holy Spirit.  Now, having said that, then the only thing you have is a decaying body; and as you now know, life from the body leads to death.

Focus Point:  Keep in mind, the desire to steal or covet is prompted by what you see with your physical eyes, and your sexual desires are provoked by the physical wants of your body.  Indeed, life from the body discourages respect and encourages behavior that regards men and women as subjects to be conquered.  We are tempted to treat people like products to be manipulated instead of images of Christ to be cherished and honored.  This is the reason there is racism and prejudice in our society, and especially in the church as we know it.

Focus Point:  Keep in mind, without the Spirit of God we are "mere dirt".  And believe me, that is an insult.  Any person that doesn't know the Lord is mere dirt.  A mere person does things which are unnatural;  such as men having sex with other women.  Having sex without being married.  These are God's natural order for mankind.

Focus Point:  Now because of this, they don't know their Creator and the purpose and desire He had when He created them.  They focus on their physical being, which came from the dust of the ground (meaning dirt); instead of their spiritual being that which came from God their Source.

Please note:  They abuse themselves and others because they don't know how God designed them to act.  Death and dirt characterizes their lives.

Man without God, his Source, is a paralyzed spirit in dirt,
walking on two legs.

It Pays to Know the Quality and Nature of God

I want to say this one thing:  it pays to cooperate with the Holy Spirit.  The reason being, God's potential is far greater than anything we can ask Him to do.  Remember, everything that is invisible came out of God who is your Source.  Now you can accept this or reject it, but truth is truth.  Everything that we yet will see is still within Him, because we came out of God.

Focus Point:  But there is a catch.  God's power must be at work within you before you can tap into that power.

Constitutional Scriptures:

Ephesians 3:20-21  Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

I Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written:  “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Romans 11:36  For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Keep in mind, when Jesus the King told His disciples that He was going away, He promised them that the Holy Spirit would come to be with them forever.

Constitutional Scripture:  John 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever

Focus Point:  Moments before His ascension to Heaven, Jesus also stated that the power of the Holy Spirit would equip His followers to be His messengers.

Constitutional Scripture:  Acts 1:8  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Questions:
1.  Is the Holy Spirit present in your life?

2.  Are you flowing in a consistent, empowering relationship that undergirds your every thought, dream and plan?

3.  Or, are you trying to do great things without the power of the Spirit?

Focus Point:  Your cooperation with the work of the Holy Spirit is the means by which God reveals the stuff He took from Himself and gave to us.  When we are in tune with the Holy spirit, we can do things this world has never seen.  The power is ours.  It is up to us whether we make the connection that releases the power.  If that power isn't working in us, our potential is being wasted.

Your success seriously depends on
your cooperation with the Holy Spirit.
