Remember, the God who designed you for eternal life still desires the fellowship with you that He originally intended. He sent Jesus into the world to take away the root problem of your sin so eternity can once more be yours. I want you to know, that as I write, this, I can feel the joy of the Spirit go through my body!
Constitutional Scripture: Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Focus Point: Again the apostle Paul makes this statement in the Constitution:
Galatians 5:16 I say then, walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Paul states again in the Constitution:
Constitutional Scripture: I Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Constitutional Scripture: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Keep in mind, that God didn't need to save you from sin and death to meet His needs. He was doing great without you.
Focus Point: Only when we recognize that coming to God is for our benefit, not God's, does God's grace make any sense. Grace is God caring enough to rework His original plan for the fallen race of mankind.
Remember what the Constitution states:
Constitutional Scripture: John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Christ came to redeem your spirit. He came to lift you from a life centered around the interests, power and desires of your body to a life centered in God.
Please note: The word redeemed means "to purchase again".
Focus Point: Remember, we were originally God's property, but satan stole us from God. Jesus paid the redemptive price through death on the cross so you could be restored to eternal life and fellowship with God. When Jesus saved us from sin and death, He rekindled our potential spirit by giving us His Holy Spirit to live in us and to be connected to our spirit.
