I'd like to start out by stating this truth: We as citizens of the Kingdom of heaven all have a past. But keep this in mind, once we have accepted Christ the King's forgiveness we have a clean slate. It doesn't matter what your life was like before, now we have to learn the way of the Laws and Principles of the King.
Now keep in mind, you are righteous only through believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Your past is a clean slate. The power of darkness will always use your past against you as a weapon. They will use people and individuals of your family to turn aside from what the blood of Christ has made clean in your life.
Read what the Constitution states in Romans 3:21-26
21) But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22) even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23) for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, 24) being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25) whom God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26) to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Focus Point: Individuals in this world system will always chose a situation from your past to hinder you from discovering your purpose.
Focus Point: Remember, only God the Father knows your heart, meaning your true motivation. This is why Jesus made this statement:
Constitutional Scripture: Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that you be not judged.
What Jesus was saying is this: Don't assume that you know the motivation of another individual's actions.
Please note: Forgiveness is a two way street. It is in God's nature to forgive. If we have the Spirit of our God, then it is in our nature as well to forgive.
Constitutional Scripture: Psalm 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
Focus Point: Keep in mind, once God forgives you of your sin of disobedience, He forgets them and remembers them no more. This is why it is very important to accept Christ and the work that He has done.
Constitutional Scripture: Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
Focus Point: So men, you are no longer responsible for your past, it is a done deal. Live your life according to God's Word. You have nothing to be ashamed of. That is your old life. You have a new life now, so live it in the knowledge of the One who saved. Study the Constitution and learn His ways.
