The Institution of Marriage, God's Creation Pt 2

As I stated earlier, people today shop for relationships the way they shop for clothes.  They try something on for size and if it doesn't fit, they simply try something else.  When they find something that suits them, they simply wear it one time and bring it back to the store where they purchased it with the receipt, stating that it doesn't fit.  Does that sound like anyone you may know?  Some individuals are a little more enduring.  They find something they think they really like.  They wear it for awhile until it fades out of style.  Then they throw it out or hang it up in the back of their closet and rush out to replace it.  There are so many that treat their spouses just like that.

This is sad but very true.  We live in a disposable "cast-off-and throw-away" society that has largely lost any sense of permanence.  At one time, I was in that stream of thought, that mind-set, if you will.  But after coming to the knowledge of the truth, through embracing the Kingdom concept, I saw the Word of God totally differently. That is when the transformation of my mind began to change.  I am still in the transformation process every single day.  I have learned that it is only through the transformation of your mind that you will know the will of God.  The ambassador Paul stated it perfectly:  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

If you take time to notice, ours is a world of expiration dates, limited shelf life, and planned obsolescence.  Now what do I mean by that?  It is in the process of becoming obsolete.  In this world system, nothing is absolute.  Truth only exists in the eye of the beholder and morality is the whim of the moment.  Living in such an environment, it is a wonder that people ask, "Doesn't anything last anymore?"  In my opinion, you can't depend on most of the preachers and teachers today, who are supposed to represent the Lord God.  They are too busy promoting themselves and their agenda.  But there  is one thing I do know:  you can depend on Jesus the Christ keeping His Word:  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.  He also made this statement:  He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”  Remember one major symptom of a sick society is when we attach to our human relationships the same attitude of impersonal transience that we display toward the inanimate and disposable items that we use in everyday life.  Marriage is the deepest and most intimate of all human relationships and even it is under assault.  My final words to you: Marriage was the Lord God's idea.

The Institution of Marriage, God's Creation

There are many individuals who are confused about the institution of marriage, just as I was at a time in my life.  I was religious and void of understanding concerning God's Constitution (the Bible).  In the eyes of many people the institution of marriage has become irrelevant.  Some consider it an ancient archaic relic in these modern times.  There is a question lingering, whether marriage is still a good idea, particularly in today's "liberated" and "enlightened" culture.  Allow me to clear this question up. Marriage is God's idea.

Concepts such as honor, trust, faithfulness and commitment seem old fashioned and out of touch with this modern society.  Many individuals change partners as easily as I change shoes and socks.  It is really sad and unhealthy to see men and women go from relationship to relationship, seeking that "oneness" that comes from a covenant marriage, but only experiencing a cheap temporary fragile imitation.

This confusion over marriage really shouldn't surprise us, considering how the media portrays sex.  Men with men and women with women.  There is a barrage of worldly attitudes and philosophies that hit us at every turn. Every day there are books, magazines, movies and television programs bombarding us with images of wives cheating on their husbands and husbands cheating on their wives.  They even create movies with underage children assuming adult behavior, kissing and having sex.  Then the question arises, why are we having so  many babies out of wedlock and so many teens having abortions?  Lust and perversion are rampant.  This is the culture of the United States, where unmarried men and women hop into bed with each other at a drop of a hat and may not even know their names.  Then just as quickly they move on to the next partner.  For men it is a conquest, but for the women, they take  the role of a door knob, with everyone getting a turn.

Individuals today shop for relationships the way they shop for clothes.  There are so many dating services to choose from.  Even those sites which call themselves "Christian" sites.  Remember this, lust isn't love, and love isn't a feeling, it's a choice.  Love isn't chemistry or how you feel about an individual.  Some say, well, it just feels right.  Well, if someone were to slap you, how would you feel then? Read what the King states concerning love:

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.  “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

Keep in mind, Jesus didn't say love if you feel like it.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.

Concepts of Convictions

Family is very important.  What you learn will affect your community.  What you are taught will mold your thinking.  The problem with that statement is, many people come from broken families, especially in poor communities.  The television has taken the place of the father's influence in the home.  Many people get their information from other's opinions and ideas.  Then they grow up and run for public office.  The groundwork of our character is established when we personally hold to an idea so completely it becomes a deep principle worth sacrificing for.  Question:  How strong is your character?  "Character is measured by the depth of what you claim to believe".~~  Dr. Myles Munroe.

Question:  How strong is your foundation?  How strong is your faith in your foundation?  “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Again, you can learn all the skills, methods and styles of leadership, but they won't mean much if you have no real convictions that will guide your life or if you sell out your convictions.  Think on this!  If your belief system is weak, you will find yourself to be inconsistent in your standards and vacillating  in your ethics.  You may choose the honorable course one day, but the next day engage in ethically questionable behavior. "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

Conviction comes from a solid belief.

The ambassador Stephen was convinced of his faith in the King's Word:  When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”  Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord;  and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Now ask yourself, "What convictions do I hold?"

As a Man Thinks In His Heart

I will share this thought with you.  We must all acquire knowledge to expand our intellect.  Knowledge is a foundation to make an effective righteous decision.  King Solomon made this statement:  For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.  “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.  Many individuals misquote this saying by leaving out the word "heart".  King Solomon didn't say "As a person thinks, so is he".  I view the word "heart" as the most important word in this statement.  It surely denotes the center of our reasoning.  I truly believe that the heart is equivalent to what the psychologists today call the "subconscious mind".  I suppose then we could paraphrase Solomon's statement this way: "As an individual thinks in their subconscious mind, so are they".

This term indicates that our subconscious mind exists behind our conscious mental functions.  It is where everything that we believe is "stored", much like a computer which has information stored on its hard drive.  This is one of the main reasons why it is so important for those of us who claim to be representative of Jesus the Christ, to study the Word of God with all our minds and souls.  The Word of God will transform your mind and then your behavior will fall in line.

When you are looking for certain information on the internet, or in your files on your hard drive, you may receive information that you weren't looking for.  But in your search, one word started a chain reaction of your past searches.  You bring that other portion of the hard drive to the attention of your conscious mind, where you can consider it.  In a similar way, we can bring thoughts that are in our "heart" or subconscious mind to the surface of our conscious mind for reflection and assessment so that we can begin to evaluate what we really believe and why we believe.

Once the heart embraces information that is non-productive, then it spreads.  Jesus described it like this:   “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.  It becomes a domino effect, and is non-productive and ineffective to the Kingdom.  We must evaluate our thoughts on a daily basis.  By doing so, we protect our heart.

The Ideas That We Have Accepted

4/26/2015

I am definitely convinced that if an individual wants to change his belief system, a transformation must take place. Their ideas and the way they view themselves must change.  One of our greatest weaknesses as individuals and leaders in today's society is that our philosophical training about who we are as human beings, including our inherent purpose as leaders, has been severely deficient.  As I view the internet and world events, I truly realize the out environment and other influences have produced  defects in our thinking due to some of the flawed philosophies that have been perpetrated by our culture, which we have accepted.  Do you remember that word, culture?

Now if we want to become individuals and leaders of character who will make a positive difference in this world, we need to first take a serious look at what ideas we have received and embraced, how those ideas have shaped our philosophy of life, and what beliefs and attitudes we may need to change.  Here is an example: If a leader, or an individual, has accepted the concept "It's everyone for themselves in this world", they will always put themselves before other individuals, with the results that they may neglect, mistreat or even abuse their followers.  I have seen this many times, often on social media.  True leaders always place their highest value on the dignity of all mankind.  I truly believe that if you don't respect other individuals, you should not be in leadership.  The world system already has too many problems to take on another leader who disregards their members and the intrinsic value of human beings.  Selfishness has no place in leadership.

If we truly obeyed the King's command, I wouldn't have to write this article. Read what Jesus stated:   But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.  Remember, a leader's personal beliefs about himself and the nature of the world will inevitably be revealed in his public policy.  Now by "public policy" I am not referring only to governmental programs and laws.  I am using this term in a broad sense, to indicate the policies, directives, instructions and guidance of leaders toward those who follow them.  A leader's public policy reflects how they view, interact with and affect the lives of other individuals as they carry out their leadership.

Leaders who claim to be representatives of the Lord God should always possess these qualities:  character and integrity.  Jesus sized it up this way:  “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Standing Philosophy and Beliefs

Allow me to share this understanding with you.  Reading is good, studying His Constitution is good, but to truly understand His plan for coming to Earth, you must have a kingdom mindset. This comes about through embracing the Kingdom concept.  Our philosophy, or belief system, has been formulated throughout our lives by our responses to various influences on us.  Those influences include our families, our friends, our heritage (meaning background) our physical and social environments, our education, our religious affiliation, our knowledge, the media to which we have been exposed, our associates, our co-workers, etc.  Our beliefs com from the ideas to which we have been exposed or have developed from our observations and analyses that we have received as truth.

Some of the ideas we accept may be false or incomplete.  But if we believe that they are true, they will still become incorporated into our personal philosophy, helping to construct the foundation on which we build our lives.  This is why if an individual changes their belief system, they have to change their ideas about themselves and their ideas about this world system.  Ambassador Paul put it this way:  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

This is why it is very important to discard our old behavior and allow the Spirit of God to guide us.  Studying and reading the God's Constitution is the foundation of change.  We develop character, therefore, as a result of our personal philosophy, including what we believe about the meaning of life, the nature of the world system, and how we should relate to other individuals.  Reading and studying the King's Word is real food for you.  Remember, you don't have a spirit, you are a spirit, living in a body made of dirt.  Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”  Those verses state so much.

Embrace the Kingdom concept and you will most definitely develop a Kingdom mindset.  Then, everywhere  you go, you will bring the Kingdom of God into that environment.

Character and Its Development

4/24/2015

Picture
I would like to share with you this very important part of an individual.  This individual can be your teacher, father, mother, brother, sister, etc.  One's character will affect you if you are around them long enough.

Back in 2012, President Obama was running for his second term here in the United States.  I noticed that the candidates were declaring that they were the voters' choice.  They kept using the word choice.  The candidates were presenting two different ideas, or philosophies to the voters.  Well, to be straight forward, the choice they were offering was between "big government" and "big business".  What a choice!  But the personal beliefs of the candidates became the public policy they pursued as leaders.

Dr. Munroe made this statement:  "We lead out of our beliefs".  That is  a statement of truth, and is truly stated.  The problem with our leaders, whether public officials or those who claim to be the Lord God's representative is that many--if not most--lack character, integrity  and honesty.  Read what King Solomon states in God's Constitution:  Do not eat the bread of a miser, nor desire his delicacies; for as he thinks in his heart, so is he.  “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you. The morsel you have eaten, you will vomit up, And waste your pleasant words. (NKJ)-- Don’t associate with evil men; don’t long for their favors and gifts. Their kindness is a trick; they want to use you as their pawn. The delicious food they serve will turn sour in your stomach, and you will vomit it and have to take back your words of appreciation for their “kindness.” (TLB) All individuals generally follow the same course as they develop character, whether that character ultimately ends up positive or negative. There is a domino effect. This is why it is so important that we train our children in line with the King's Word.  Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Now, here is the process, leading to the end result:

  • Our beliefs lead to our convictions.
  • Our convictions produce our values (which are tied to our attitudes and perceptions).
  • Our values form our morals or principles.
  • Our morals and principles lead to corresponding personal conduct.  Especially in the case of positive characters, morals and principles.  It also prompts us to exercise personal discipline for the purpose of remaining aligned with our convictions.
  • Our conduct and disciplined actions manifests as our ethics.
  • Our ethics results in our character.
  • Our character determines our lifestyle.
Do you see what I mean by a domino effect?

A husband should be a great leader in his family.  This is so important because the children obey their parents.  Their character is built, learning from their parents.  Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.  Children who have been raised and trained by parents with Kingdom principles will teach and train their children these same principles.

By the way, the Lord God will hold us accountable for every non-productive word we speak.  But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”  So repent and turn from disobedience.

From Head to Tail Pt 2

As I stated in my last article, although we think of colon most often as the large intestine, the word actually encompasses the entire system, beginning with the tongue and esophagus, through the stomach, small intestine and large intestine all the way to the rectum.  How does this connect with colonies and cultivation of a garden?  It is a Greek concept.  Your colon begins in your head and ends in your bottom.  Whatever goes into your head is consumed and will end up in the bottom, guaranteed.

Now here is the connection that the Greeks made.  They said that the key to government is to get what is in the head out to the bottom of the community.  The king is the head and he appoints a governor to communicate and establish his will and desires throughout the community at the bottom (the colony).  Similarly, the job of the master gardener is to execute the will and desires of the garden owner (the head) and product a garden (the bottom) that satisfies those desires.   This is the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives: to ensure that we as Kingdom citizens reproduce the character and culture and live according to the values, standards and principles of our king.  It is this "top to bottom" process that King Jesus had in mind when He taught His disciples to pray.  I personally call it the domino effect.  Read how King Jesus prayed:  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Please remember and take note:  When this connection is made from top to bottom, from Heaven to Earth, from the King to His citizens though the link of the Holy Spirit; then the results will be a manifestation of Kingdom power and authority that is as attractive as it is undeniable.  By His own declaration, Jesus did nothing of His own.  Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner."  And what did King Jesus do?   And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.  Because He knew the heart and mind of His Father.

The "colon" was clear.  The border between countries was open, and the loving, merciful, compassionate and healing will of the King passed from His supernatural realm into the realm of the natural.  Remember, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  King Jesus gave us this promise:  “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. The Holy Spirit came to dwell in us for the purpose of fulfilling this promise in and through us.  Christ is the Head, in Heaven, and we are His Body, on Earth.  The Governor delivers the will of the Head to the Earth and carries it out through us, the Body.  The Master Gardener takes the seeds and plans of the Owner and transfers the Garden of His supernatural realm into the natural world. This is a process we must understand.

All of my articles concerning reproducing Kingdom gardens on Planet Earth are simply another way of saying that the Lord God is in the process of re-colonizing the planet with His Kingdom government and culture.  this mission was so critical that He couldn't entrust it to any other than His Son, who alone possessed all the necessary qualifications.  Jesus came into the world as a government agent on a special assignment.  Pilate, also, was a government official.  This is why he understood Jesus' words, whereas the religious leaders did not.  He and King Jesus were speaking Kingdom language.

Now let's educate ourselves:  The word colony comes from the Latin word colonia, which is translated into the Greek as Kolonia.  Colony comes from the word colere, which literally means cultivate as in planting and nurturing a garden.  To colonize, therefore, (or to plant Kingdom gardens) means to cultivate a people in one place to be first like a kingdom in another place.  It means to reproduce a culture.  In fact, the word culture itself comes from the Latin word cultura, which also means cultivation.  The word agriculture (from ager, Latin for field or land) is the art of cultivating the soil to produce crops.  Similarly, horticulture (from hortus, Latin for garden) is the art of growing fruit, vegetables, flowers or ornamental plants.  So the Holy Spirit is truly the Master Gardener, because His purpose is to cultivate the Kingdom government and culture in the hearts of Kingdom people and through them to reproduce more of the same all over the world until the Planet Earth is filled with them.  Keep in mind, King Jesus prayed that we would be one through the Word:

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.  And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

The root word for colony and colonization is colon, which is also the name given to the human digestive tract.

I will continue this article tomorrow

The Connecting of Two Worlds Pt 2

4/21/2015

Now, remember, Jesus the Christ moved between the natural and the supernatural with ease, and so does the Holy Spirit.  Furthermore, because the Holy Spirit dwells within us, He enables us to transcend the boundary between the two, so that our prayers, praise and worship can rise to heaven and the Lord God's presence, power and privilege (favor) can flow down to us.  In this way, we can reproduce the character and culture of His Kingdom on Planet Earth.

It is like being able to cross international borders with no checkpoints, customs or passports.  The Holy Spirit is our passport; through Him we have access to anywhere in the Kingdom, including the throne room of the King Himself.  I don't know about you, but that is the way I want to live--by the way, it is the way I am learning to live.

King Jesus made this statement replying to Pilate:  Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”  He was acknowledging two things:  First, that He was the King of a real Kingdom, and Second, that His Kingdom was from another place, a place outside and above the physical realm. Remember, a kingdom is the governing influence of a king over his territory or his domain. (I refer you to the Kingdom Authority tab on our website www.kingdomcitizens.org )  He impacts it with his will, purpose and intent; and that is manifested in the culture, lifestyle and quality of life of his citizens.  In acknowledging His Kingship to Pilate, King Jesus was stating to the Roman governor that He had a country with a society of citizens and a moral code, and that is possessed territory, power and definitely influence.  Yet it was not from Earth.  This is why it is so important for us to read, study and apply His Word to our lives.  Without it in our lives, we will never be filled with His Spirit.  Remember, citizens of His supernatural realm lived as immigrants in the natural realm but maintain their allegiance to their parent country, Heaven.  They were in the world, but not of this world.  Our position is the same.  Jesus made this statement:  Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.   I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.  He spoke only what His Father had Him to speak.  Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.  As Kingdom Citizens, we have the same responsibility.  By connecting us to our home world while we remain in this one, the Holy Spirit enables us to hear and understand the words and will of our King and empowers us to carry them out.

It is when you start embracing the Word of God in your life that you will experience the Holy Spirit living in your mortal body.  Don't make excuses for not living and obeying the King's word.

The Connecting of Two Worlds

The most powerful person on Planet Earth is living inside of every Kingdom Citizen and believer in the Lord Jesus Christ; and yet most of us don't realize it.  But we are quick to say "Yes I believe the Holy Spirit is in me" or "I know I have been baptized in the Spirit".  But few of us are truly conscious of the magnitude of the person and power of the Holy Spirit.  We really don't know Him, we don't listen to Him, and, depending on our background, we may even have been taught not to expect much from Him.  Instead, we would much rather watch television or talk to our friends or spend our time following the enticements of the world system.  However, if we want to grow as Kingdom Citizens and reach our fullest potential in fulfilling our mission to plant Kingdom gardens throughout the world, we must take time to get to know the Master Gardener.  We must learn to listen and obey.  Remember what Jesus stated:  On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

The question is why must we obey Him?  For one thing, He is our link between Heaven and Earth, and in Him we are connected to both worlds.  The Holy Spirit is the bridge between the supernatural and the natural realm.  We say that God rules a "supernatural" Kingdom, but this is strictly a human perspective.  The word supernatural does not occur in God's Constitution (Bible), not even one time, and for a very simple reason:  From God's perspective, which is also the Constitution's perspective, the concept is meaningless.  For that matter, we would be more correct to speak of the spiritual domain as a supernatural realm.  Now the prefix supra means "outside" or "above".  Heaven is a supernatural realm because it is above and outside our own, but to the Lord God there is no distinction.  Why?  Because natural and supernatural are the same to Him, because He created both realms.  That is why we call Him Lord, because He is the Landlord.  The only difference is that one is lower than the other. Remember:  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  That is how the Lord God started off His legal document.

I will continue this in my next article tomorrow.

He Mediates the Lord God's Presence Pt 2

The Holy Spirit is the individual who guides us into all truth.  However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.  That is why we must have Him living in our mortal bodies.  He teaches us all things, and reminds us of everything Jesus taught us. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.  By the way, He can't remind us if we do not take the time to read and study the Word.  As long as the Governor is here, the King is here.  Once again, as long as the Governor is here, the presence, power and authority of the King is here.  As long as the Governor is here, the Kingdom of Heaven is present on the Planet Earth.

Now, I want you to understand, the Holy Spirit is the presence of the absent King. Jesus the Christ is in Heaven, seated at His Father's right hand.  His work on this Earth is finished.  But, He promised not to leave His followers as orphans.  ...the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.  So then He asked His Father to send "another Counselor" to be with them forever.   And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--

In Greek, the word for "another" means another of the same kind.  The Spirit who was to come would be exactly like Jesus the Christ, except that He would actually be present in Believers, rather than just with them as Jesus was.  Again, the Greek word for "Counselor" is parakletos, which literally  means "one called alongside" as a helper or assistant.  This perfectly describes the Holy Spirit's role as Governor of the Kingdom and His ministry as Teacher, Guide and Master Gardener:  to nurture and bring fully to life, gardens of truth in the lives of Believers.

Once again, the Governor of the Kingdom mediates the presence of the King. Wherever the Governor is present, the King is present, and so is His Kingdom. Since the Governor resides in our hearts as Kingdom Citizens, we take the King and the Kingdom wherever we go.  There is one distinct characteristic of the Kingdom, and that is whatever it passes, it leaves in its wake: life, restoration, transformation and most definitely, enlightenment.  The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose...Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing.  For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water; in the habitation of jackals, where each lay, there shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

That is what happens when the real presence of the Lord God is near.  There are no miracles in the Kingdom.  Citizens of the Kingdom realize it is standard procedure.  "Miracles" are the norm in the Kingdom.

He Mediates the Lord God's Presence

Now as the Governor, the Holy Spirit mediates for the people on Planet Earth on behalf of the absent King.  The Holy Spirit only mediates to those individuals He resides in.  Although the dominion of the Lord God covers both Heaven and Earth, He maintains His presence in Heaven; but in this aspect of His divinity, He has not come down to Planet Earth.  He has, however, come to Earth in the Persons of His Son, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The New Testament tells us that the Son of God took on human flesh, and announced the arrival of the Kingdom of God and then died by crucifixion, shedding His sinless blood so that we who are disobedient could gain access to the Kingdom. (by the way, the word "testament" isn't a religious term, it is a legal team)

Remember, in the forty days after His resurrection from the dead, in all that time, Jesus was still teaching the Kingdom to His disciples.  Then  Christ ascended to Heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of His Father and where He continues to intercede on our behalf.  Read what King Jesus stated to us who endure to the end:  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.  Ten days after He ascended, He sent the Holy Spirit to live permanently in the hearts of believers so that there would always be a presence of God on the Earth.

Jesus made the statement that the Holy Spirit will never speak on His own, but will speak only what He hears.  However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.  What the Spirit does say will always be in agreement with what the Father and the Son say, and with what the Bible states--which is the written Word.  Remember, none of these will ever contradict any of the others; they will always be in perfect harmony with one another.  Remember what the King stated concerning His Father:  "I and My Father are one.”

Keep in mind, as Governor of the Kingdom, the Holy Spirit is the official, designated representative through whom all information from and about the King and His Kingdom passes to His citizens.  Again I remind you what Jesus stated: But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

This is why it is very important that you allow the Holy Spirit to reside in your mortal body.

He Asserts the King's Authority Pt 2

The Holy Spirit only comes to abide in those who are obedient to the King's Word.  You have to surrender your will to His will.   One of the ways the Holy Spirit enacts God's Will and brings this about in our lives is by asserting the Lord God's authority in this world.  Keep in mind, one of the Lord God's representatives was bold and courageous and stood bold on the Lord God's Word.  Read what the Lord God stated to Joshua:   Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.  This is especially true against the pretender (Satan) and his agents.  That is what the governor does.  He established the authority of His King in the new territory.

Many individuals both inside and outside the kingdom are confused about who the Holy Spirit is and what He does.  Some see Him only as the most mysterious Person of the Godhead, the Trinity, about whom little is known or can be known.  To others, He is the one who sends tingles down people's spines and gives them a "warm fuzzy" feeling during worship, or the one who knocks people down and rolls them around on the floor.  Those things may happen sometimes, but they definitely don't reflect the environment or atmosphere of Heaven, nor do they reflect the reason the Governor came.  This is why understanding the Kingdom concept is so important to the people of the Kingdom.

Keep in mind, when the Master Gardener came back to reside in men, it was an intelligent reaction.

Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”

I also would like to say, that Heaven is a place of peace, harmony and order because it is the home of the King.  The Holy Spirit is not some divine joy-buzzer or stun gun to give believers a jolt.  He is  a person whose job it is to mold them into the likeness of the King.  The Holy Spirit is a vital part of who you are in the Kingdom.  Without Him, you are just another individual, preaching on your own, trying to live a life of holiness without the Holy One living inside of you.  Remember what Jesus stated:   "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  Power to live an effective, righteous life.

He Asserts the King's Authority

It is very important that the Holy Spirit reigns in our body and life.  He is the one who keeps you connected to the Kingdom of Heaven.  It is the governors in a kingdom who are personal appointees of the king.  They may be personal friends of the king, or at least known to him by their reputation or recommendation.  In either way, they are chosen for their loyalty to the king and their commitment to his policies and laws.  His purpose is their purpose, and his objectives are their objectives. Quite often they come from the very center of the king's court, those intimate of the king, who understand his thoughts and are of one mindset with him.

Now this certainly describes the Holy Spirit, who never speaks of His own record, but states only that which He has received from the Lord God, the Father, the King of Heaven.  He is perfectly suited to be Governor of Heaven's Kingdom gardens on Planet Earth because He knows perfectly the heart and mind of Kingdom Citizens to those of the King, thus shaping the "gardens" of their lives to faithfully manifest the government and culture of Heaven.  The Kingdom ambassador Paul made this statement:  Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Jesus Himself was even more explicit in describing the work of the Master Gardener when He made this statement:  "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."   "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."  And also when He was speaking of the work of the Holy Spirit: "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you."

Now, because the Master Gardener always carries out the will of the King, His presence in us enables us to do the same.  What does that say for those who go by the name "Christian" and claim to know Him, but fail to live by His Word?  In this way, under His guidance, we can shape our lives and behavior into beautiful gardens that accurately reflect the heart, nature and character of our King.

I will continue this discussion in my next article.

The Holy Spirit Residing In You Pt 2

Now let's compare.  Under a democratic system of government, a governor is elected by the people.  Well, no such animal in the Kingdom.  But they also have the power to remove him or her from office.  Well, again, no such thing in the Kingdom.  A kingdom is not a democratic system, however, and this is especially true of the Kingdom of God.  In a kingdom, the king's word is law and his will is absolute.  The king appoints governors to oversee the various territories and regions of his kingdom; and only he can remove them.  This is exactly how the government administration worked in the Roman Empire, which is one reason it was such an ideal model to serve as a backdrop for Christ's message of the Kingdom of Heaven.  During Christ's earthly ministry, Pontius Pilate was the Roman governor of Judea, appointed by Tiberius Caesar, the emperor.  Although Pilate proved to be a very unpopular governor, the people of Judea had no power to remove him.  The most they could do was petition the emperor to recall and replace him, which they did in A.D. 36.

Carrying out the will of the king is the paramount responsibility of the governor. The same applies to the citizens of the Kingdom.  If you state that you love Him, then you must keep His commandments, laws and principles.  “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.  The big difference between a king and a president is that the latter one cannot always have his will or way in the country.  He has to negotiate with Congress.  He has to debate and discuss and often makes compromises just to get part of what he wants.  Even then, the final legislation is subject to judicial review and can be overturned if it is judged to violate the constitution.

Remember this, Jesus the Christ is King of kings.  He is the Beginning and the End.  And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:  KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.   “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

The Holy Spirit Residing In You

Yes, that is correct.  The Holy Spirit is your connection to the Kingdom of Heaven.  As I stated several times,  the Constitution (Bible) is a testament of a King, His Kingdom and His royal family.  It is a royal document, chronicling the purpose, desires, and decrees of the King; as well as the activities, past history and future destiny of His children and heirs. It also describes the King's expansion program, His plan to expand His heavenly realm into the earthly territory.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

As I stated in my previous articles, he did this by establishing an outpost, a Garden, in Eden.  Then He created a man and then a woman to assist him and put them there as caretakers and administrators.  Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.  And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.  And Adam said:  “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”

They were rulers of the physical earthly realm just as He Himself ruled in Heaven. Theirs was not to be an independent rule, however, so He appointed a Governor to oversee the overall expansion program.  Now who is better for Governor than His own Spirit, who knows His mind intimately and perfectly?  In addition, this Governor could work in close harmony with the human administrator who, as spirit beings clothed in a fleshly shell (dirt or earthly), could commune with Him spirit to Spirit.  The Lord God loved man so much that He would visit him in the cool of the day.  Unfortunately, at this particular time, man had disobeyed the Lord God's command.  And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.  King David made this statement:  What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?

Keep this in mind, as Governor and Master Gardener, the Holy Spirit's primary responsibility is to execute and enact the will of the King who owns the Garden and everything and everyone in it.

I will continue this conversation in my next article tomorrow.

The Master Gardener Pt 2

Picture
John's reference to the "Word through whom all things were made" refers to Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.  The Spirit of God is also the Spirit of Christ, because they are all of one essence; one God in three Persons.  By right, and the agency of creation, the Holy Spirit was the Master Gardener of Eden, the Governor of God's original colony here on Planet Earth.  Like the human colonial governors, He guides and oversees the lives and welfare of His citizens.  Unlike His human counterparts, however, who live in fancy houses and mansions made with human hands, the Governor of the Kingdom lives in the hearts and lives of His citizens.  As He was in Eden, He is still the Master Gardener, overseeing the planting, fruitfulness and reproduction of the Kingdom "gardens" in the lives of Kingdom citizens and throughout the world.

All of us who are Believers and citizens of the Kingdom in right standing are immigrants on this planet.  The Lord God placed us here to fill the Earth with His government and glory, but He did not abandon us to do so on our own.  The Constitution states that His is a God of order, not disorder.  Let all things be done decently and in order.  This means also that He is a God of government, not anarchy.  If you take a minute to recall that when the Lord God rescued the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt in order to make them into a nation, the first thing that He did was to give them a government encoded in law, His Ten Commandments.

Now in the same way, He has placed the Holy Spirit as the Governor of His children and citizens to ensure that the "garden" of our lives grow in a cultivated, orderly and disciplined manner.  By living in us, we will reach our maximum fruitfulness in accordance with Kingdom principles, rather than grow wild and reckless with no direction or control.  Keeping the King's laws should be our main priority.  Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.

The Holy Spirit, our Master Gardener, is the one who reveals to us the will and ways of our King and teaches us how to live a Kingdom lifestyle and to manifest Kingdom culture.  He is essential to our assignment of building the community of Heaven on Earth.  His major role is to transform the earthly realm into the heavenly realm.

Seek the Kingdom.  Embrace the Kingdom concept.

The Master Gardener

As Arlene and I travel from place to place, we notice so many beautiful trees and flowers right here in the state where we reside.  What really surprises me, is she knows their names and how to take care of them.  I have learned through her knowledge of plants, that gardens are marvelous things.  It is truly amazing how even a little plot of carefully cultivated fruit trees, vegetable plants or brightly colored flowers can totally transform an otherwise drab and ordinary landscape.

There are times when I surprise her with some of those beautiful flowers and roses throughout the year.  Just to see the smile on her face, then my day is done.  One of the most important things on Earth is a well-tended garden.  It signals the presence of life in its fullest abundance, vitality and beauty.  Every garden needs a gardener.  Someone to till the soil, sow the seeds, nurture the young plants and prune, shape, and groom them for maximum fruitfulness and productivity.  It must be someone who truly has a heart for the garden.  Someone who loves it and is completely committed to its growth and success.  Are you understanding what I am saying?  Even the Garden of Eden, God's original Kingdom and outpost on Earth needed a gardener. The Lord God didn't create the Garden and leave it to fend for itself.  A gardener was necessary to tend it, nurture it, and ensure that it fulfilled all of God's will and desires for it.

The Lord God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden as its stewards and caretakers; king and queen of the earthly domain.  They were gardeners, but neither of them was the Master Gardener.  Until the day that they disobeyed God, and lost their position, and had to leave, Adam and Eve worked in close concert and harmony with the true Master Gardener of Eden--the Holy Spirit of God--who, unlike them, had been present and intimately involved in its creation.  Read what the opening words of the Constitution states:  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Now the Spirit of God was present and was the primary agent in the creation of the physical realm, including the Garden of Eden.  Using similar language, John state this truth:  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

I will continue this discussion in my next article tomorrow.

Returning of the King Pt 2

4/11/2015

Remember when I stated in an earlier article, that you must be clean in order for the Holy Spirit to dwell in your body? Read what the King stated:  "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you."  This is why I emphasize so much to read and study the Word of God.  It is a transformation agent.

Whether you know it or not, the Kingdom of Heaven has been in the territory, stolen by the pretender, and it will continue to gain ground.  A royal Garden has bloomed in the desert and is definitely spreading among the Kingdom Citizens in good standing.  It is inexorably and irresistibly--inexorable means 1) cannot be moved or influenced by persuasion or entreaty; unrelenting 2) that cannot be altered--over barren ground, preparing the way for the day when the King Himself will return visibly and powerfully to take His throne.  At that time, the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of His glory, as the waters cover the sea.

Take a moment to read in Habakkuk:  For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.  The Lord God must come back to Earth and He has called and commissioned us to make a difference in the world.  It is time for the Kingdom Citizens everywhere to infuse this sick world with the curative elixir  of the culture of Heaven. What do I mean by elixir?--to change the world from base metallic to gold.  Not by teaching Christianity, but teaching the Kingdom.  This is what my commentary is all about.  Our King has planned where to seed the world system with the government of the Kingdom.  As my wife Arlene would say, "That's how we roll".  He has called us to invade the culture of this world's business with the business of Heaven.  This is not about profit, but about permeation,  Meaning, like yeast, we are to infiltrate and permeate the world with the culture of the Kingdom until the world is transformed; until the barren desert is a  beautiful, fertile and fruitful garden once more.

Remember, the Kingdom of Heaven isn't about escaping Earth; it is about occupying the planet Earth.  As Kingdom Citizens, we are destined to change the world.  In the name of King Jesus, nations and people will be made free from the cruel bondage and deadly culture of Satan the pretender.

Keep reading and studying God's Constitution, for it is your life!
