The Original Father Provides Vision
If a father is truly the head, he becomes a visionary for his family. The eyes are in the head and they see what's in front of the body. If you are the head, you are supposed to have vision for your family: I mean insight, long range goals, and a plan for the future. Now I realize, if many of you reading this were like myself, you didn't have a father in the house, and if you did, the things that I have just mentioned weren't anywhere in his mind or thought pattern. Now I would like for you to take note again: The father discerns things that are happening in the natural as well as the supernatural for the family. In other words, he can't afford to be clueless.
As the visionary, the father anticipates things before they happen and prepares and equips the family to face the future. Fathers have perception, conception and inception.
Now, lets speak on the word: Perception:
Perception is awareness of what is going on. A father should know what is happening with his wife and children at all times. When behaviors or attitudes change, he knows it. When spiritual or physical needs arise, he is aware of them. Nothing escapes his attention. Too often I have heard wives and children say, "My husband doesn't have a clue". Sad, but true. That same statement applies for the children of the home.
One day as my youngest daughter and I were speaking on people issues and their culture. She abruptly stated to me, "Daddy, you need to wake up and smell the coffee". At that point I got a clue! Learning, studying and reading while educating myself has never ceased.
Remember, God cares about everything. Jesus was aware of everything that happened around Him, even to the point of noticing a woman in need, barely touching the hem of His garment.
Read Constitutional Scripture: Mark 5:24-34
Keep in mind that God the Father is aware of all things.
Jeremiah prayed...
Constitutional Scripture: Jeremiah 32:19
You are great in counsel and mighty in works, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his loins.
Now lets speak on Conception:
Conception is the creative beginning of a process, which puts in motion a chain of evens. God sets everything in motion.
Constitutional Scripture: Acts 17:24
God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
He initiates, conceives and creates. Likewise, a father conceives in his mind the beginnings of things for his family and then becomes the source for bringing what he has conceived in reality. As the head of the family, the male takes the initiative to listen to the Lord conceive His ideas, not just what seems like good ideas.
And now Inception:
Inception is the start or commencement of something new. Remember, the Lord is always doing something new.
Constitutional Scripture: Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Keep in mind, that a father is willing to risk new things for his family. He will break out of old traditions and bondages. A father receives the words God has for him and his family, rejoicing in the refreshing newness of God's river in his life.
