Being a citizen of the Kingdom of God and in right standing, this is one of the privileges that the Holy Spirit empowers us to do. It means also that we are equipped and empowered to live in victory and exercise our dominion authority right now, in our everyday lives. We don't have to wait until we pass on or until Jesus returns to start enjoying our Kingdom benefits. That means we can take charge of our situation. It means we don't have to just scrape by from day to day barely making ends meet, desperately hanging on by our fingertips until the weekend or our next paycheck. We have kingdom authority, and the Lord wants us to use it. He wants to bless us and bring us into the full potential He placed in us. He waits for us to avail ourselves in faith of all that He has made available to us.
Focus Point: This choice is ours. It is a matter of grooming our kingdom mentality of learning to think, talk and act like the royalty we are; rather than like the galley slaves the devil has told us that we are.
Constitutional Scripture: Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
Remember, this all comes about by our minds being renewed on a daily basis.
Focus Point: It would be wise of you to note that unfortunately, this is not a natural mindset for us, and most citizens of the kingdom have trouble making the change. So many of us look at our daily struggles with an attitude of despair or resignation, assuming that their circumstances will never improve, and they should simply try to make the best of it. They look at their mortgage or their electric bill and start worrying how they are going to pay it. Every day is filled with anxiety and stress over making ends meet.
Is this any way for a citizen of the Kingdom of God to think? What kind of king complains or worries about paying his bills? It is all a matter of mindset or mentality.
Constitutional Scripture: Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Please note: The Kingdom mentality says, bring on the problem, for we are problem solvers.
Please note: A slave mentality simply rolls over and yields to the enemy's demands, by assuming that there is no other choice. The Kingdom mentality faces the enemy square on, says "Not in this life! I am a king and Jesus is King of kings".
Constitutional Scripture: Revelation 19:16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Focus Point: We must be ready to stand firm, take authority in the name of Jesus and reclaim what is ours by right...once we are in the Kingdom and in right standing with Him.
