The Kingdom Culture is very unique, and it isn't confrontational. Yet it doesn't back down. Its principles are the Lord God's principles and those of us who are citizens of the Kingdom, govern ourselves according to His law.
The shrinking of our global community through telecommunications technology and the internet has greatly accelerated the rate of intensity of culture clash. There is a "take no prisoners" war that is being waged for the soul of our culture, and it is vitally important that we identify the nature of the fight.
What do we do when a major news magazine runs a cover story entitled, Muslims in the USA or we discover that mosques are popping up next to churches all over America? It is a clash of cultures. How should we respond, when female religious devotees can wear veils in school or for driver's license photographs, even though the teachers and government officials need to be able to see their faces to identify them? It is a clash of cultures. The need to preserve democratic freedom and individual rights conflicts with the need for greater security. Jesus the Christ made this statement:
And again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened.” In essence, the Kingdom isn't about using violence to achieve its goal. King Jesus also stated something else in line with that:
“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. This is where the Crusades were totally out of line. Do you remember when Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane? But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” Jesus didn't need any assistance. He had whole legions of angels at His command. He is King.
What do we do when the counterculture of sexual perversion labors and lobbies vigorously to dignify and legitimize itself through legislation? How should we respond to the claim that two men or two women should be able to marry each other and even raise children in such a same-gender household? What do we do when we claim to believe in "God's values" for the family only to discover that society has redefined family to mean anything others want it to mean? This is no time to play religious games like the majority of the churches are demonstrating here in the US and Canada. They are afraid to speak out against those who are disobedient to God's Constitution. Many churches play "techno music" and call it "praise and worship". It is time for Christ's church to embrace the Kingdom concept and lose the religious mindset.
