It is like being able to cross international borders with no checkpoints, customs or passports. The Holy Spirit is our passport; through Him we have access to anywhere in the Kingdom, including the throne room of the King Himself. I don't know about you, but that is the way I want to live--by the way, it is the way I am learning to live.
King Jesus made this statement replying to Pilate: Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” He was acknowledging two things: First, that He was the King of a real Kingdom, and Second, that His Kingdom was from another place, a place outside and above the physical realm. Remember, a kingdom is the governing influence of a king over his territory or his domain. (I refer you to the Kingdom Authority tab on our website www.kingdomcitizens.org ) He impacts it with his will, purpose and intent; and that is manifested in the culture, lifestyle and quality of life of his citizens. In acknowledging His Kingship to Pilate, King Jesus was stating to the Roman governor that He had a country with a society of citizens and a moral code, and that is possessed territory, power and definitely influence. Yet it was not from Earth. This is why it is so important for us to read, study and apply His Word to our lives. Without it in our lives, we will never be filled with His Spirit. Remember, citizens of His supernatural realm lived as immigrants in the natural realm but maintain their allegiance to their parent country, Heaven. They were in the world, but not of this world. Our position is the same. Jesus made this statement: Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. He spoke only what His Father had Him to speak. Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. As Kingdom Citizens, we have the same responsibility. By connecting us to our home world while we remain in this one, the Holy Spirit enables us to hear and understand the words and will of our King and empowers us to carry them out.
It is when you start embracing the Word of God in your life that you will experience the Holy Spirit living in your mortal body. Don't make excuses for not living and obeying the King's word.
