Now the glory of God is one of the significant themes of God’s Constitution. Here is an example; the Lord God stated to His representative Moses: “but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord”. By the way, this has yet to be fulfilled.
King Solomon who was the wisest man of his day, made this statement: “And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and amen”. Now the Lord God reiterated this theme to the ancient Hebrew representative by the name of Habakkuk when He stated: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea”.
Now in Hebrew, the word for “glory” is kabod, and the equivalent Greek word is doxa. Both words mean “weighty”, or a “heavy weight”. More specifically, “glory” refers to the full nature of a thing. The Lord God wants to fill the planet earth with His full weight, His full and true nature, the fullness of who He is and what He is like. He wants to be on earth just as He is in Heaven. King David made this statement: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.” He wants the Earth to be filled the same way, by filling it with people who are filled with His nature and His Spirit.
Now understanding the Lord God’s original intent assists us to understand His Constitution (the Bible), His written Word. Many individuals misunderstand His Old and New Testament and its message because they misunderstand God’s original intent for planet Earth. Simply put, His Constitution is about the rise, fall and rise of God’s Kingdom on Earth. It tells the story of a kingdom established, a kingdom lost and a kingdom regained. The first two chapters of the book of Genesis describe the establishment of the Lord God's earthly kingdom under the rulership of Adam and Eve, who God created in His own image and to whom He then gave dominion. Now, when you read chapter three it tells how Adam and Eve lost their earthly kingdom through disobedience, while the rest of the Constitution records the working of God’s plan to regain that kingdom and restore it to its former place.
Remember, understanding God’s original intent should be a priority. This is why so many preachers, teachers and representatives, misrepresent the Kingdom because they fail to seek the Kingdom in its essence. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness”.
