When Mankind Declared Independence Pt 2

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7
What was life like for Adam and Eve after they disobeyed and turned their backs on the Kingdom, losing the presence of the Holy Spirit, their Governor? The loss of the Holy Spirit (God’s Spirit) in the Garden of Eden was the worst thing that could ever happen to mankind. It limited man's ability to connect to our Kingdom government. We were cut off from our true life. Keep in mind that mankind was designed to live from the inside out but now the situation was in reverse. Man was cut off from the Holy Spirit—meaning his connection to the Father. He had to totally be dependant on his five physical senses. At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. Genesis 3:7 NLT
Please take note: A perspective based only on the fleshly senses inevitably leads to confusion. Once they ate of the tree that the King forbade them to eat of, their five physical senses kicked in operation. That was the first sign of being separated from the King. Mankind began to depend on the soul, meaning the mind, will and emotions. From that point forward, what we saw, heard, touched, tasted and smelled became the dominant components in our human experience. Those five senses dominated their emotions. That is why Adam replied in this manner when he heard the Lord walking in the Garden: And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”
So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
Genesis 3:8-10
We as human beings, by nature, interpret our Lord and King mainly from our physical senses as well. Remember, the God that we serve is a Spirit. King Jesus made it very clear that His Father is a Spirit: But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24
In order for us to grasp the significance of this truth—having the Spirit of our Lord and King is vital for our relationship with Him while also understanding our individuality as human beings. The Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—is the key to being a complete and whole person. This is why King Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again. Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3
Only our Kingdom Governor—the Holy Spirit—has the mind of the King. We cannot really be what we were born to be as human beings unless we have a direct connection to His original intent. What I am saying is this: The Holy Spirit is our key to understanding ourselves as God has purposed.
When mankind was separated from the Holy Spirit, we lost the authority and power. We also lost connection with Heaven, our home country. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:20
Keep in mind that the power that Adam possessed was the ability to control and influence circumstances. One of the first things the King stated to Adam after his rebellion of disobedience was this: “Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it. It will grow thorns and thistles for you, though you will eat of its grains. By the sweat of your brow will you have food to eat until you return to the ground from which you were made. For you were made from dust, and to dust you will return.” Genesis 3:17-19 NLT
Before that, He told Adam to have rule over the things of the earth. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28
He had authority and dominion over the whole earth. It worked for him, rather than the other way around. Now he would have to work the earth to survive.
I am all the more grateful for Jesus’ return to earth to reestablish God’s Kingdom government into this earth! Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep Me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But My Kingdom is not of this world.”
Pilate said, “So you are a king?”
Jesus responded, “You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the Truth. All who love the Truth recognize that what I say is true.” John 18:36-38 NLT
Remember, your faith in the King’s Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.
