What Question Fits Your Crisis?
This writing is to inform you that the Kingdom of God is never in a crisis. What do you do when everything you trusted is collapsing? How do you prepare for a sudden change in life that will surely affect you? How do you recover when life hits you on your blind side? Losing a job after a lifetime of hard work, filled with dedication, commitment and loyalty to a chosen career...how do you suddenly change your vocation and skill set? What do you do when a lifelong dream and investment is suddenly taken away from you through no fault of your own? How do you bounce back after all those institutions that were expected to protect you suddenly pull the rug from under your life? What do you say to your family members when you face the reality that you may no longer be able to fulfill their expectations for security, support and provisions? Where do you go to work to earn a living on a job? What do you do when your sense of pride for personal accomplishment is dashed in the fire of survival? How do you go on after a legacy of years of work comes to a halt by a pink slip from the company that you assisted in building? How do you face the family you once left to find your fortune and chase your dream and ask them to take you back in because your world has evaporated? Where do you go when the ones you go to for help now need help?
Now these are a parade of questions, that, at some point, we will face in life. Keep in mind, even though each situation was unique, they all have one common link: every trying situation was initiated by what we call a crisis. Remember what the Constitution stated: those who live a Godly life will suffer some kind of crisis, but we will overcome. Each one of us will face some type of crisis in this world system. That you can count on.
Many of us, perhaps, are still trying to recover from a broken marriage or the stillbirth of a child or the unexpected death of a spouse, child or loved one. In any case, whatever your situation, these are all categorized as a crisis.
Constitutional Scripture John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Keep in mind, most of us cause our own situations, just because we fail to be obedient. Remember, living on this earth requires that we must expect the unexpected and prepare for the unforeseen. I like to say it this way: "Prepare for war in the time of peace". It is just the nature of life. Sad to say, many of us do not possess the necessary mental, emotional, psychological and spiritual tools to successfully and effectively weather these seasons of turmoil. This is due to the first man's disobedience in the Garden of Eden. Being disobedient to the King's Word is a crisis.
As I listen to my radio and search the net for information, I realize that the world is in a crisis. However, in the past there was no such concept as what they call "global crisis". Globalization is a modern term that describes the collapse of the many barriers between nations such as distance, culture, trade tariffs and access to global communication. It seems that, all of the sudden, every country in the world has entered into a recession or worse. Unemployment rates are soaring. Homeowners are facing foreclosure. Businesses are facing bankruptcy and liquidation. Believe it or not, these are just the beginning of the signs of the times. Do you recall what the King stated while He was here on earth?
Constitutional Scripture Matthew 24:4-8 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows."
Focus Point: Now does what is going on in this world sound familiar to you? By the way, the operative word in verse 8 is "beginning" of sorrows. Our first priority is to seek the Kingdom. After doing that, everything else is small stuff.
