What Do You Put Your Faith In?
Life is full of mysteries. I realized this fact when my friend and mentor left this present world. He and I used to communicate through email. I really couldn't figure why the Father permitted that. But as I stated, there are mysteries I truly don't understand. Yes, there are mysteries in this life, but my foundation of faith is strictly in my King's Word. Questions concerning the nature and meaning of this life are universal in every culture and in every generation. Everyone ponders the meaning for their life to one degree or another. Like many individuals before us, we stare into the starlit night sky in wonderment at the majesty of the heavens. Then we often ask "Where did I really come from? Why am I here?" King David had somewhat the same questions: When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?
As I drive along with Arlene, we are always viewing the clouds in the sky and seeing the Father's handiwork. We find it a mystery how those clouds form images that are fascinating. King Solomon made this statement: There are three things which are too wonderful for me, yes, four which I do not understand: The way of an eagle in the air, the way of a serpent on a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man with a virgin. It is fine to think about the things that we take for granted, but there are several things that you should remember.
There are questions in life we can never have an answer for. There are some people who insist on knowing the answers to everything. They assume that no area of knowledge is beyond human understanding. Consequently, when something stumps them, they become depressed. It is alright to have a hunger for knowledge, and for understanding; that is perfectly natural, but only up to a point. Our Creator and Source designed us to be curious about ourselves and the world in which we now live. The key is to keep everything in the right perspective. Part of that perspective is to acknowledge that there are definitely some things we simply will never understand.
Secondly, there are things in life we can never explain. Some things we see or experience in life just defy rational explanation., like my friend, Dr. Myles Munroe. I have learned to accept them. You will enjoy life much more if in those times when you don't understand why, you trust in the Father. As Dr Munroe once stated, "The psychiatric wards are full of people who cracked under the strain of trying to explain the unexplainable" We should always settle in our minds that there are things that we as Kingdom citizens will never be able to explain. The answer is to totally trust in His Word.

Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
Psalm 37:1-8

When trouble comes...when bad things happen...God says "I know you don't understand, but do you trust Me?" No matter what rocks your life, can you say "I trust God, no matter what happens."?
This is my philosophy: Don't sweat the small stuff. I can say that because my foundation in this world is His Word (God's Constitution).
