Article: The King’s Purpose Will Protect You
- If you are working in your God-given purpose and assignment, you will not die until His purpose is completed. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill His purpose for me. Psalm 57:2 The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me. Lord, Your faithful love endures forever; do not abandon the work of Your hands. Psalm 138:8 CSB And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory. Romans 8:28-30
- You may have a purpose for your life but there is a divine God-given purpose for your life. The first one is the purpose and goals that you set for yourself. The second is the purpose—and assignments that go along with it—that the Lord God has ordained for you from the beginning of time, for His glory. But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth. Exodus 9:16 NKJV You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:21
- The Lord God had His purpose and assignment that David would be king, before his birth. But before David would take over as king, the Lord God gave him several assignments. One of his assignments was to slay the giant Philistine called Goliath. He did it with just a sling and a stone. David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues His people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and He will give you to us!”
As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him. Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down on the ground.
So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword. Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they turned and ran. 1 Samuel 17:45-51
It wasn’t in his own power, but in the power and protection of God’s assignment on his life. David couldn’t lose because this was God’s Will, all for His glory! Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

Article: Your Faith in His Word is the Key Part 2
- Kingdom citizens have radical faith in their King because our life depends on Him. Jesus is the Word, made flesh. So the Word became human and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14 NLT
- Faith must have an object. We don’t just “have faith”, we have faith in ______. Our actions reveal the object of our faith. Do you believe more in science, doctors, government, the world system, your religion, what you have been taught by your parents and friends? But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
- it is vital to guard what you watch, listen to and read because it will hinder your faith in His Word. The news and social media won’t build your faith; most of the time it is “selling” fear. That is why it is imperative to read and study His Word every day. God’s Word cleanses our mind and our soul . . . .just as Christ loved the church. He gave up His life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s Word. Ephesians 5:25b-26 NLT
- God’s constitution will strengthen your faith in His Word. If you don’t know His Word, how can you truly have faith in it? Study His Word daily. It builds your faith and protects you from being deceived. When you are filled with God's Truth, you will easily recognize Satan's lies. Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the Word of Truth. But avoid all irreverent babble and godless chatter [with its profane, empty words], for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their teaching will spread like gangrene. 2 Timothy 2:15-17 AMP

This week, read and meditate on Hebrews 2 and Psalm 78. Hebrews 2: Hold on to Truth and don't waver in your salvation. Also the relationship of Jesus, angels and man. Psalm 78: God's kindness to Israel in spite of their unfaithfulness.

Article: Marriage--When Two Histories Collide
- A Kingdom covenant marriage is a triple-braided cord that will withstand the storms of life! A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT
- Don't sweat the small stuff. It is usually the little annoyances that cause the biggest arguments. Recognize those "little things" they "always" do and determine to accept them and not allow it to build up to the point of exploding. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:13-15 NLT “Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil and ruin the vineyards [of love], while our vineyards are in blossom.” Solomon 2:15 AMP
- Cultivate a Kingdom marriage by the leading of the Holy Spirit, our Governor in the Kingdom. A Kingdom marriage is built on the solid foundation of God's Word. A Kingdom marriage will be filled with the fruits of the Spirit; it will reflect our King, Jesus. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23 NLT So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. Galatians 5:16-17 NLT
- There is no place for selfishness in a Kingdom marriage. We are in danger of having a selfish mindset in marriage when we have a "tit for tat" mindset. "If he doesn't do this, then I won't do that." Your love and kindness is not dependent on your spouse's behavior. It is part of your covenant with God and your spouse. It is the Holy Spirit that will guide us to fulfill that covenant because our flesh is weak and selfish. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3:15-18 NLT

This week, read and meditate on Hebrews 1 and Psalm 77. Hebrews 1: Who Jesus is! Also, who the angels are. Psalm 77: A reminder of all that God has done and gaining comfort and encouragement from it.
Have a victorious, fruitful week! We pray your hearts are filled with gratitude for His grace and mercy! Keep seeking the Kingdom!
September--Week Thirty-Six
Article: Your Faith in His Word is the Key
- Your faith in the Lord God’s Word is the foundation of a Kingdom lifestyle. The King’s Word is your top priority and essential to a fruitful life in His Kingdom. That is what it is to seek the Kingdom. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 What are "all these things"? “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Matthew 6:24-27 NLT
- In the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus, there is no place for fear or anxiety. In essence, your faith in Him—meaning His Word—is all that you need. Living an abundant Kingdom life while in this world is dependent on your faith in His Word. You can be victorious and at peace, no matter what is going on around you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
- Building your faith in His Word is a process. Remember, we live in a fallen world but it does not live in us! Keep this thought in mind, the enemy—meaning the devil—wants to destroy and weaken your faith in the King’s Word--the Lord God’s Kingdom constitution. The devil wants you to doubt, lose hope and be filled with fear and anxiety. By doing that, he causes you to be ineffective in the Kingdom. Keep in mind, the deeper your trust and faith is in His Word, the stronger you are in His Kingdom. Your faith is a weapon against the kingdom of darkness. This is why I continue to speak on faith. It is vital! Without faith, we are defenseless against the attacks of the enemy. I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith. Philippians 3:7-9 NLT In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Ephesians 6:16 NLT

This week, read and meditate on Philemon 1 and Psalm 76. Philemon 1: Paul & Timothy's letter of encouragement and instructions to Philemon and his church. Psalm 76: A praise for God's victorious power.
