November--Week Forty-Eight
Article: The Holy Spirit--Governor for All
- The Lord God's prophet, Joel, told of a day when God's people would be led and taught by the indwelling Holy Spirit--our Governor in the Kingdom. Joel was stating the Spirit of the Lord God would be poured out on “all people”—male and female alike, Israelite and non-Israelite, free and slave. Earthly prejudice related to gender, color or social status would disappear in the presence of the Holy Spirit’s return. “It shall come about after this that I shall pour out My Spirit on all mankind. And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days." Joel 2:28-29 AMP
- The Holy Spirit isn’t just for certain individuals, but for all people who love and are obedient to the Lord God’s Word. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:15-17
- The King would baptize them with His Holy Spirit, while aligning them with His Kingdom. Remember, the Holy Spirit coming wouldn’t be a temporary one time appearance, but a permanent one. He will be in you forever. He is your Teacher, your Guide, your Governor in the Kingdom! Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. John 16:7-14 Know the Holy Spirit--our Governor--and the power and wisdom that is available and working in your life!

Article: Diluting the Kingdom Message While Being Deceived
- Remember that Satan is the deceiver, the evil one. That deception will cause people to blame others for their conflicts and issues that go on in their community, state and throughout the world. It is always someone else's fault. They blame their own circumstances on other people. "We" are the victim and "they" are the perpetrator. When bad things happen to us, we blame others or the Lord God, when in reality, the evil one is the foundation of all the world's misery and chaos. This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels. Revelation 12:9 NLT Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”
And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:17-19
- Deception is insidious. It is like a fog creeping over your mind. It prevents you from seeing the truth and leads you astray. If you are deceived, you don't usually know you are because you can't see truth! But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed. 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 NLT And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. Matthew 24:4-5
- The only way to be protected from Satan's deceptions is to fill your mind with the Lord God's Word and listen to the Holy Spirit--our Kingdom Governor. God's Truth is eternal. That is your measurement for Truth, not our culture. It never changes. It is not meant to be watered down to be more palatable. The Lord God does not go back and re-edit His Word--Kingdom Constitution. Religious leaders might alter it to fit current society, but God does not. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Galatians 6:7-8 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:6-11 With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against Him. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.
But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from Him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:17-24 NLT

This week, read and meditate on James 5 and Psalm 91. James 5: A message of warning to the misuse of wealth and also the power of prayer. Psalm 91: God's supernatural protection.
Have a victorious, fruitful week! We pray your hearts are filled with gratitude for His grace and mercy! Keep seeking the Kingdom! Stay strong in the Lord and the power of His Might! He is our strength.

Article: The Most Important Person on Earth Part 2
- The Lord God first sent His Son to redeem the world and teach those who would listen about the Kingdom of God. Then when the Lord Jesus returned to His Father, God sent the Holy Spirit to govern His people in the Kingdom. But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree; whom God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Acts 5:29-32 Jesus replied, “All who love Me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and We will come and make Our home with each of them. Anyone who doesn’t love Me will not obey Me. And remember, My words are not My own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent Me. I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Advocate as My representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:23-26 NLT
- When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, He will cause you to speak the Word of God boldly without fear of what man may say or do to you. Be full of the Word so you are always ready to be used to share the Gospel. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.”
So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed--Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:13-22, 29-32
- Remember, Father God isn’t in the business of controlling His citizens. He wants His citizens to desire what He desires. Our Governor respects our will. He shows you what the Father’s Will is and assists you in fulfilling it as you look to Him for wisdom. Without the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are not wise enough, strong enough, or holy enough, to be a citizen in right-standing in God’s Kingdom. It is only through His Spirit, sent to govern our lives as we submit to Him. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. Galatians 5:16-18 NLT

Article: Reconnecting to Your Gifts
- Every person is born with a gift, or gifts, from the Lord God. In order for your gifts to reach their maximum potential in service for the Lord God’s Kingdom, they need to be reconnected to their original source. No one really knows the true essence of their gifts unless they reconnect with the Spirit of their Creator God. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
- When you are connected to the Kingdom, the Holy Spirit reconnects you to the source of your gifts so that you may understand what you have been given by your Father. If you want to know what the Spirit of the Living God really created inside of you, you have to reconnect to the Governor—the Holy Spirit. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:12-15
- Ambassador Paul also assures us that those who live by His Word have Lord’s Spirit—the Holy Spirit. He is telling us that we don’t even realize who we really are until our Governor—the Holy Spirit—reveals it to us. He gives us wisdom to see what the world cannot see because they are not filled and guided by the Holy Spirit. But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. 1 Corinthians 2:10-14 NLT
- Your gifts are within you, waiting for you to connect with the Holy Spirit and fulfill the Lord God's purpose for your being here! For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call]. Romans 11:29 AMP

Article: Our Governor--The Most Important Person on Earth
- In the Kingdom, our Governor is the Holy Spirit, which the Lord Jesus had His Father send to us after He returned to Heaven. Seeing the Holy Spirit as our Governor helps to see that the Holy Spirit governs and leads our life in the Kingdom, as a governor would! “If you love me, obey My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you.” John 14:15-16 NLT
- There is nothing and no one in this world who has more power and resources than the King of kings! That means you don’t need to be frightened by those who may threaten you here on this earth. Do you recall what the Lord Jesus stated to His disciples while He was here on earth with them? “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:4-7
- You can be composed—cool, calm, collected and at peace—in all circumstances because you know that your King lives within you through the presence of the Holy Spirit, your Governor. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20 But when the Father sends the Advocate as My representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:26 NLT
- Over time, I have heard people say, in times of great trials and decisions, "If I could only sit down and talk with Jesus for answers". You have that ability through the Holy Spirit! Pray and then be still and listen. Don't live beneath what the Lord Jesus has given you. When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring Me glory by telling you whatever He receives from Me. John 16:13-14 NLT
