Training is a Must To Become Royalty
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. As Kingdom citizens, we are part of a royal family of the Kingdom of Heaven. This is why Paul the ambassador made this statement: For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Like any other member of royalty, we don't just step into the role without any preparation. We must be trained. This proper and careful training is essential for rules in the making of vital and careful decisions. We must always learn how to act and behave like the royal children of our heavenly King. We have spent such a long time in the mental state of a slave in the Kingdom of darkness that we automatically think and behave like slaves. But now we have embraced the slave name "christian". If we are to exercise our full status and potential in the earthly realm as an ambassador of our Father, we must be retrained in the behavior and mindset of the Kingdom. In fact, the Holy Spirit is our tutor.
Please note: When we first become believers, we receive our new spiritual birth from Jesus the Christ, who then turns us over, in a manner of speaking, to someone else--the Holy Spirit--for training and upbringing as children of the King. In His earthly incarnation, Jesus couldn't be continuously and physically present with all His followers; so He promised to send His Spirit, who could abide with us forever and teach us how to think and act like the royalty we are.

Thoughts to Meditate:
One of the things that the Holy Spirit teaches us is how to stand in authority as true sons and daughters of God no matter what the troubles or difficulties come into our lives. As royal children of our heavenly Father, we can take charge of our circumstances, rather than being a slave to them. We can live daily in power and victory, rather than in weakness and defeat. All it takes is training, and the Holy Spirit is our teacher.
