The Unshakable Kingdom Pt 2
Remember, this unshakable Kingdom and this unchanging Person belong together. Together, it is complete and relevant, and able to meet mankind's total need. It is the fulfillment and purpose of the Lord God’s plan for His people.
We have heard the phrase many times "Jesus is the answer", but Jesus is the answer when we embrace Him as King, His Kingdom and His message in totality. We do not get to pick and choose the parts we embrace and think we will receive all the Father has prepared for us.
Many preachers, teachers and leaders make the Kingdom of God so difficult for the Believers to embrace and accept what is already in them. The Kingdom of God feels elusive and unreachable to those who listen to these leaders. They desire the benefits of His Kingdom and to hear from the Holy Spirit—our Governor in His Kingdom—but can’t grasp it as it has been explained to them. People will say it is too “deep” for their understanding so they just stand at the “door” to the Kingdom and look in, not understanding what they should be seeing. When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. 1 Corinthians 12:11-12 NLT
When I had a religious mindset, it was as if the Kingdom of God was covered by a veil, hindering what I was seeing. But once I began to turn away from my religious mindset, and embrace God’s Kingdom, the more clarity that came as I read scriptures. Once I began to see with great clarity, I knew I could never go back to my religious mind!
The wonder of the unshakable Kingdom and the unchanging Person is that Jesus did not merely preach and teach this Kingdom. He was the live illustration of what the Kingdom is. He was the walking, talking embodiment of living in God’s Kingdom here on earth. He was the One that fits the character of the Kingdom in human form. He was also the unchanging character of the Kingdom, and yet unfolding. He is an unfolding pattern of how we are to live in His Kingdom.
Listen to this statement:
“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:12-15
Remember, Jesus the Christ is the door to the Kingdom and the Kingdom of God is within you, but it must be cultivated through His Word.
“The Kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20b-21
So, the Kingdom and King Jesus are fixed and unfolding elements. The more you see, the more you WILL see, there is more yet to be seen. You must live and obey His Word. It is an exciting adventure, a surprise around every corner, there is never a dull moment; there are new horizons looming. Every revelation is an invitation to know more. Every person is a domain, and the Kingdom of God is to be cultivated in them. Every salvation gives the key to advance His Kingdom. You're on the tiptoe of expectancy, life in the Kingdom beckons.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Jesus, the Son of God, is unique and the Kingdom of God is unique. They are intrinsically united as one—One Kingdom, one King—absolute and unshakable. This was always the Lord God’s plan. Intrinsic--Belonging to the real nature of a thing; not dependent on external circumstances; essential; inherent.
Since this was the most important junction ever seen on earth, with the greatest consequences for the future of mankind, it had to be an illustrated junction; it could not be merely told. It had to be modeled, lived out and proclaimed to the world. Read the four Gospels on the life of Jesus and see what Kingdom life is meant to be. It cannot be done without being led by the Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—living within you. What was is and will be…eternally unshakable and unchanging!
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
His disciples came and asked Him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?” He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to My teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. That is why I use these parables, for they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.” Matthew 13:10-13 NLT
