The Role of the Holy Spirit as Governor

The Holy Spirit, our Kingdom Governor, is sent from the Lord God to transform the colony on earth into our home country, Heaven. He knows the King’s heart, mind, desires, will and intent. He cannot speak anything that isn’t from the Father. If you think the Holy Spirit is revealing something to you but it is contrary to His Word, He is not. He is committed to carrying out the King’s purposes in His territory. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10-11
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT
It is the Holy Spirit that lives in us, that knows the mind of the King. Ambassador Paul made this very clear. When you have the Holy Spirit in you, you will never have to guess what His Will is for your life. Just follow the leading of the Governor. You are the King's territory. His Spirit resides in you. He will guide and lead you to all truth. Jesus told the disciples about Him: But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26 Notice that the Governor comes from the Father who is the King.
It is the Holy Spirit that will guide us to all Truth. By doing this, we as citizens of the Kingdom could never go wrong, unless we choose to. Once again, ambassador Paul makes it very clear where that spirit comes from: Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12 But even now, if you are reading these articles with a religious or worldly mindset you will miss it. It is impossible for a person with a worldly or religious mindset to understand the leading of the Holy Spirit. We see things through the filter in our mind. As ambassador Paul continued: These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 1 Corinthians 2:13-15
What it boils down to is that you must be filled with the Holy Spirit, operating in us as our Kingdom Governor, to operate in the spiritual realm of God's Kingdom. And as the Holy Spirit speaks by the wisdom of God's Word, we must love and be full of His Word just as a library is a wealth of information. All of this is the role of our Kingdom Governor. When you are filled with His Spirit you have one mindset, meaning you are in line with the Son and King. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16
How could we have the "mind of Christ" without consuming His Word!
As they say, "You are what you eat."
The role of our Kingdom Governor, the Holy Spirit, is to lead and guide you into God's absolute and eternal truth. He does not force you to do anything. Keep in mind, we have free will. He wants us to freely choose Him and His laws and principles. Those who embrace the King's Word and love it, have the Governor living in them. They are the ones who follow His lead and His guidance. Remember that the Holy Spirit only says and does as His Father has told Him. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:13-15
If you are still dealing with a carnal or religious mindset, learn to recognize it when a thought comes to mind that you know is contrary to a Kingdom mindset. It takes time because we were usually raised up with religious traditions and doctrines. Mankind can be so easily distracted and get off course. It is easier to focus on a minister or worship leader that we see and interact with as our guide. A religious mind with place one leader above another and look to them more than they do the Father. Ambassador Paul dealt with this also. And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.
1 Corinthians 3:1-9
Another role that the Holy Spirit fills is to convict and draw the lost. We cannot convince someone to accept our Lord Jesus as their Savior. We can tell people about Him, but it is only the Holy Spirit who draws and convicts. Jesus said, Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. John 16:7-11
When we get distracted and heading down a wrong path, the Holy Spirit will speak, reveal it to us and lead us back onto His "path of righteousness". He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Psalm 23:3 When you follow the leading of the Governor, you will never go wrong. It is when we come up with our own thoughts and follow through with them that we are misled. We lose focus of our purpose. My wife Arlene and I work hard to stay focused and mindful of His leading. We don't ever want to drift away from our God given purpose! We don't have time to waste! This scripture, for us, reminds us of the difference between living life without the Holy Spirit versus being led by the Holy Spirit: When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 1 Corinthians 13:11-12
Remember, your faith in His Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.
