The Power of the Kingdom Culture

When the Spirit of the Lord God was poured out on the day of Pentecost, His Kingdom citizens were given the power of the Holy Spirit, our Governor. Keep in mind, what comes with that power are various Kingdom “abilities”, whose purpose is to promote the culture of the Kingdom on this earth. As the Lord Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 These abilities are known as “gifts of the Spirit”. The fruit of the Spirit has to do with the character of our Lord and King. It is the development of the King’s nature within you. His Kingdom shines through your gifts!
Many of His citizens are unaware of the gifts that they have. The gifts have to do with the King’s power. However we should note here that while character develops over time, ability and power from the Holy Spirit—our Kingdom Governor—can be received immediately when you receive the outpouring of the Spirit in your life. With these gifts of power come a great responsibility. Character is more important than power. Why? Because it protects our use of that power. It keeps us from using it for the wrong reasons and purpose.
Everyone on earth has a gift. We are all born with gifts and talents from the Lord God. Ambassador Paul made this very clear: There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
Individuals like Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Charlie Kirk, Elvis, Elon Musk, and any other you could mention, were born with a gift. The problem is that so many of them either are unaware of it or fail to know their divine purpose. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
Keep this in mind; it is easier to receive the gifts of the Spirit than it is to develop the fruit of the Spirit! A gift is one that is freely given, not “earned”. It is easier to obtain the power of the Lord God through His Spirit than it is to develop the character of the Lord God. But we must develop these qualities of the King because they will moderate our use of the gifts that the Father has given us. Without the fruits of the Spirit, a gift will be misused and not fulfill the purpose for which it was given! We see it all the time. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25
Both the qualities of the King (fruit) and the gifts of the King are very important,
but the fruits are vital because power without character is dangerous.
I have seen that so many times. This is why it is so important to be led by the Spirit, our Kingdom Governor. A balance between the two is a challenge for all Kingdom citizens. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:13-14
I truly believe this is why the Lord Jesus spent three and a half years on earth teaching His disciples how to live, how to think, and how to behave as Kingdom citizens. This is why I teach the Kingdom message. My King has given me this assignment and no other. He said to them, “I must preach the Kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.” Luke 4:43
Remember, the Lord Jesus trained His disciples first, and then they received Kingdom power through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the day of Pentecost. Read the transformation of them all after they were filled: And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:40-47
Looking at the state of this world, it needs an infusion of Kingdom culture!
Keep in mind that ultimately, culture is spread through influence and through the qualities (fruit) and gifts of the Spirit. Our behavior here on earth plays a great part of that. If you allow the Governor to lead and guide you, your influence from your Kingdom culture will affect those around you. We as Kingdom citizens live by an eternal blue print. Religious people call it the Bible, but Kingdom citizens know it as the Kingdom Constitution of our heavenly government.
This is key: All who received the Holy Spirit on that day were of the same mind.
Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
The Holy Spirit gives you all that you need to do what God calls you to do. They received a heart for giving by the Governor—Holy Spirit. They were led by the Governor to give to those who were in need. They were led by the Spirit. Remember what the Lord Jesus said to His disciples: “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:15-17
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:26
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in His Word.
