The Nature of Our Kingdom Governor

The nature of the Holy Spirit isn’t what He does, but it is in who He is. He is always acting in accordance with His nature, because that is who He is. Our Governor is an extension of the King and He teaches and trains us to be the reflection of His Kingdom. He is our connection to our Lord and King. Every aspect of the King’s nature is what we are to be in essence as well. This is why we are to be very careful of what we listen to and what we speak. This is what the Lord Jesus meant when He said: Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 Without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we cannot be perfect in our own strength! So don't throw in the towel because you can't be "perfect". He knew that and sent us the Holy Spirit!
When you are born again, you are to be taught how to live the Kingdom life by the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t just “happen”. It is a training process. So if you don’t feel that you “have it all together” after being born again, don’t lose heart because your life as a Kingdom citizen is just beginning. That is why it is vital to read and study God’s Word and listen to the Holy Spirit, who governs us. Then He will bring all you need to know to your remembrance. These aren’t my words but the words Jesus spoke to His disciples: “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:24-26 Notice that He stated that “all things that I said to you” meaning He taught them first.
We as Kingdom citizens must be taught how to live this Kingdom life once we are born of the Spirit. It doesn’t just happen. We have to learn the culture by studying God's Kingdom Constitution and by the leading of the Holy Spirit, our Kingdom Governor.
“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” Matthew 6:22-23 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. Luke 11:33-34 The Lord Jesus taught that the eye is the lamp of the body. We must be very careful, because the culture of this world enters our lives through the eyes and ears. Whatever we watch on the internet and television or even read in a book affects the quality of our inner personal culture. It is the same as when we eat and drink junk and things that are bad for our body. Our body shows the damage of what we have taken in. What you put into your body will come out for all to see. In essence, we as citizens of God’s Kingdom have to always be watchful. “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36
Whatever you continue listening to influences your life in some way or another. What goes IN you will come out of you for all to see. I can testify to that. I personally thought it didn’t but later found out that it did. It can affect you in your dreams, behavior, moods, the way you treat others and the way you view things. Ambassador Paul put it this way: Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
We must not allow a destructive culture to invade and destroy our lives and our work for God’s Kingdom. It is vital that we maintain righteous representation before all men. It is God’s Kingdom light that we must shine in the darkness. But know that your reputation will be challenged.
Remember, being a Kingdom citizen requires that we exist in some degree of tension because we live in a fallen world in a culture of rebellion and death. There will always be a culture clash between light and darkness. All the more reason to be the light and example of life in the Kingdom of God! Do you remember the prayer the Lord Jesus prayed? I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. John 17:14-19 Note what He said concerning His Word? His Word sets you apart from all other because it is the King’s Word and His Word is eternal. It is so important that you embrace His Word because your eternal life depends on it. I will not stop emphasizing this point, because it is crucial to an abundant life in His Kingdom!
Remember, your faith in the King’s Word is your greatest asset in His Kingdom.
