The Male's Purpose Part 4
You Are a Protector
The fourth purpose of the male is to protect. Men, even though many women may feel that they are able to protect themselves, you are still called to be the protector of your family. Remember that God told Adam to guard and defend, and to cover everything under his care in in his sphere of influence. That includes your wife, your children, your neighbors and your community.
Many men don't think about protecting others; they think about how they can use them. If you are a single man on a date with a young lady, you are supposed to protect her from even your own sexual desires. Now think about that for a moment! The young lady is supposed to feel safe in your automobile. You are to guard her virginity and not destroy it. Even though I must say many women's virginity is long gone when you may meet her.
Keep in mind, real men protect; they don't seduce. God has designed you with physical strength in order to defend a woman, not to use your strength to overpower them. That is abuse of your power. You are supposed to be the safest place any woman can be. I like to put it like this: There is a 1) male a 2) man and a 3) gentleman. Which one are you? By the way, I am all three. I worked at it, now it's a natural behavior for me. By the way, men, your wives should be able to confirm that behavior in you. If not, you have work to do!
Many men use their gift to destroy women. My king and Lord, Jesus the Christ protected women! He was a guard for them. Children were safe with Him. He blessed them. He didn't abuse them. Remember, a godly man always leaves a woman better than when she leaves his presence. Now, let this be the last day you abuse or misuse a woman. Ask the Lord to forgive you of all the times you misuse a woman.
Keep this thought in mind: Men, you were designed to guard, defend and cover everything under your care and in your sphere of influence.
