The Lord Provides for His Purpose, Not for Our Plans Pt 2
Keep in mind, if the devil is winning in our lives, our communities or our countries, it is because the church is not doing her job. She isn't fulfilling her purpose. Remember what Jesus said about who we are:
Constitution: Matthew 5:13-16 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 44) You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15) Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
When we expose God, He provides the resources to continue our efforts. It is as though He says to us, "Come on, church, show them something else. Show them what I am really like."
Remember this one thing. Excellence is looking like God. It is showing the qualities and the essence of the epitome of God. It is not doing a mediocre job with half-hearted enthusiasm. The Lord asks the church to be Holy because He is Holy, and His sons and daughters came out of Him. He requires those who carry His name to love their enemies because He is love; and He put that love in them when He made them. He demands that His children turn the other cheek when someone misuses them because His Son, Jesus the Christ, who faithfully exposed the Father's nature, turned the other cheek to purchase our salvation, and we are heirs of God with Christ. Until the church take seriously her calling to expose the totality of God's love, grace and power; she will continue to struggle because she is asking the Lord to provide for plans that are not His.
Keep in mind, the Lord will not ask His "called out ones" to do something for which He has not provided. The demands that He places on His people or citizens reveal the potential He placed within them before their birth. With each and every demand always comes the provisions to accomplish the task.
Remember, He is not in agreement with the church when she tells Him what she cannot do. God's sons and daughters are covered just so long as they discover His purpose for their lives and walk in it.
