The Lord God's Design Part 1
When we were created, it was the Lord God's design and His creation, man, a perfect being. When He made woman from man, she was a perfect being. It is when the Lord God gave man the breath of life that he became a living soul.
Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
Then the Lord God decided to give Adam a helper. One that he would name and be joined together, because she came from him. “At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’”
Keep in mind, this was before Adam was disobedient to the Lord God's command. In other words, they were perfect, without sin or the knowledge of sin. They had only one set of knowledge, and that was the knowledge the Lord God, their Source and Creator, gave them. No other knowledge was necessary. They had one mind.
Adam failed to obey His Creator's command and ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That is when bacteria started to set in. Their thinking became distorted and started to become corrupted with other knowledge that went against the knowledge of our Lord God. He gave Adam the command, not Eve. He was to lead her and he was to pass the command on to her. The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” I repeat, this command was given to the man Adam and he was to share it and enforce it with his wife. He was to carry out the Lord God's command. However, he failed to listen, did as his wife asked and disobeyed his Creator's command. Adam fulfilled his responsibility when he told his wife what the Lord God had said to him. His failure was that he failed to enforce God's Word to him. The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”
“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”
The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.
Keep in mind, before they became disobedient, they were naked and it wasn't a problem. Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame. They weren't ashamed. So, in essence, it wasn't a problem. I used to think that all knowledge was power, but now I know it is the knowledge of the Lord God that is the real power. Anything else is just information. His knowledge is eternal. Mankind's knowledge is temporary. The problem is, we make attempts at mixing temporary knowledge with eternal knowledge. Do you recall what the King stated? Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. Read this statement in God's Constitution concerning the King of the universe: Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure. Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end. NKJV
The very moment man failed in his leadership, the Lord God laid out a plan to restore mankind back to Himself. However the process would be extensive. Man's knowledge of his Creator became polluted through the additional knowledge that he had acquired through eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The Lord God wanted children that He could love. Children who would have faith in Him. This is where Abram came on the scene. Prior to that, man's heart had become so wicked that He had to destroy the people on earth and to shorten their years on it. Then the people began to multiply on the earth, and daughters were born to them. The sons of God saw the beautiful women and took any they wanted as their wives. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years.”
In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times.
The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” But Noah found favor with the Lord.
