The Kingdom: Social and Economic Differences
Now by the surrender of social and economic differences, there is no room or place for slaves or free men in the Kingdom of God. Believe it or not, this statement cuts deep into our problems today, especially here in the United States the past two hundred years. Even though this is what we call the modernization age, many still have that slave mentality and mindset. This economic nerve is the touchiest nerve in our society. Remember this, economics determines status in most societies. The status-seekers are the hungriest seekers of all in our society. King Jesus asked this question among His listeners:
Constitutional Scripture Matthew 6:27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Please note: There weren't any takers. But yet we try to make ourselves taller and more prominent by display--in houses, the way we dress, our social standing, etc. Many of us purchase a new automobile and we still reside in an apartment. We spend money that we don't have and purchase stuff to impress others. Keep in mind, there is no higher status in this world or the next than to be a son or daughter of the living God. To be made in the likeness of His Divine Son and to belong to the Unshakable Kingdom and to the unchanging person: Jesus Christ.
Focus Point: There is no inferiorities in the Unshakable Kingdom, based on skin color, culture, heredity, economic status or economic circumstances. I personally do not care where an individual has come from. I am only interested in where they are going. Jesus made this statement:
Constitutional Scripture: Luke 9:62 ...No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.
Please note: The Kingdom of God is always looking forward. It is never looking backward, digging up old dirt in one's past. You will find that latter statement among your family members.
Focus: Keep your eyes on the Crown not the Cross.
Focus Point: The Kingdom is interested in the present and the future. It leaves "the dead to bury its own dead". Do you remember what the King's reply was to him (meaning the disciple) concerning burying his dead? Read what the King stated:
Constitutional Scripture: Matthew 8:22 But Jesus said to him, "Follow Me and let the dead bury their own dead."
Focus: Remember that the past is buried in the love of God, the present is guided by the love of God and the future is unfolding under the beckoning of the love of God.
A man whom I have grown to love through his book, told this story: A woman he had met through his chauffeur had been two years in her bed, with a bad heart. She came to our Ashram (a secluded place for a community of religious leaders for meditation, a monastery) but on the way her heart began to act up and she thought about how expensive it would be to send her body back five hundred miles to Charleston, West Virginia. But she arrived and attended as she describes it. She described it this way: "With my life hanging over a cliff by a frayed rope, all prayed out except one last frail strand". Now to complicate things, the doctor said she had a possible malignant cancer of the breast which must be operated on at once. Well, she dropped into the Unshakable Kingdom. In two days she was up, normal and free from the fears that she said "I was afraid". She had been filled with fear for a long time. After a week, she felt for the lump in her breast and it was gone! She drove back the 500 miles in one day without weariness. Upon arrival, she presented herself to the doctor who exclaimed: "If three quarters of my patients had what you have, they need not come to me at all. You better tell them." The doctor verified the absence of the lump.
Focus Point: When the Kingdom is present, life is changed, bodies are healed, the dead are being raised, blind eyes are being open and the mute speak, etc....
Constitutional Scripture: Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

When the Kingdom is present, change takes place. It is Unshakable.
