The Kingdom is the Crux of the Problem Pt 2

Do you remember what Peter said to the King when He spoke of His death and resurrection?
Constitutional Scripture-Matthew 16:22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
Peter had good intentions, but wrong motives. Now read what the King stated to him:
Matthew 16:23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
Focus: In essence, He was saying, Peter didn't have the mind of God, but of the world system. Satan was trying to prevent God's purpose for His Son. For those who fail to embrace the Kingdom concept, it becomes a serious problem for them. What Jesus the King was saying to Peter was: Your whole life was out of gear with My Father and His Kingdom.
Keep in mind, self is always trying to block God's purpose for your life. This is another reason we should study God's Constitution on a daily basis.
There was a dispute that arose among the disciples as to which of them was the greatest. Now here was a clash of the King's intimate followers, debating between themselves, who was the greatest. Why...because they had surrendered everything to follow Him.
Luke 9:46 Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be the greatest.
Please note: Once again, self rose up. Keep in mind, we have battles three fronts: Self, flesh and the devil. James made it very plain and the King gave us a command.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Focus: The unsurrendered self, to the Holy Spirit, causes difficulties at the price of all our inabilities to get along with people. So many times we fail to hear the Holy Spirit, because we are so "into" ourselves that we get in our own way. What happens is this: it blocks the Kingdom's operation, and then everything turns sour. Our first allegiance is to the King and His Kingdom. It is not to our church or denomination that we attend.
Do you remember what John said?
Luke 9:49 Now John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.”
Here is what the King replied:
Luke 9:50 But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side.”
Focus Point: Keep in mind, the other group was casting out demons in the name of Jesus the King. Jesus made this statement: "He that isn't with Me is against Me". Luke 11:23 Following us, was the issue for the disciples. But Jesus Himself made it plain--Following you isn't the issue, so if they are not against you, they are for you. But I am the issue, and following Me is the issue, so if you aren't with Me, you are against Me. Now, because John and the rest of the disciples were still unsurrendered in themselves, they wanted their group to be first. They were more concerned about the other group following them than the individual who was having the demons cast out of them and being set free. There was nothing said about the individuals of whom the demons were being cast out. At the time, they weren't concerned about them. This was the group, or should I say, the denominational clash.
Self can be both singular and cumulative as a group.
