The Concept of a Kingdom
Where did the concept of the Kingdom come from? It wasn't invented by mankind. It was the first form of government introduced by the Lord God, our Creator. This concept appears first in the book of Genesis at the creation of man. Remember, mankind's original assignment from the Lord God was a Kingdom assignment. Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
The Lord God's plan for mankind was to extend His heavenly Kingdom "government" to the earth through the principle of colonization. Do you remember the original thirteen colonies in American history? England brought their culture and government to foreign soil and sought to establish colonies of Great Britain. Man's assignment was to establish the influence and culture of heaven on earth by representing the nature, values and morality of the Lord God on the earth. That is why it is important for you to be born of His Spirit. Do you remember what King Jesus told the religious ruler? Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
“What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”
Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life."
You see, in this way, the Lord God's heavenly rule would manifest itself on this earth through His extended image of mankind--not as a religious image, but as a citizen of the Kingdom of God. This was the first Kingdom. The Lord God, the Creator and King, extended His heavenly Kingdom to earth by way of His offspring...mankind. This is a message of His constitution, not a religious Bible story, but a royal family with power and authority.
Restoring His Kingdom is His number one priority on earth. Every since the fall of mankind, man has tried to reintroduce this concept of the Kingdom, but throughout history, man's every attempt to establish a heavenly Kingdom on this earth has failed. Keep in mind, this is why religious governments always fail, no matter what form of religion. It is for this reason that the Lord Jesus had to come to earth and reintroduced His heavenly Kingdom in the hearts of mankind. Mankind, through Adam, lost a Kingdom and a Kingdom is what mankind is searching for. The Lord Jesus came to bring the kingdom of heaven back to this earth. It had nothing to do with establishing a religion.
Most religions center around one culture, belief, color or nation, which separates them from other people. The Kingdom unites and seeks to bring people together. “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind. When the net was full, they dragged it up onto the shore, sat down, and sorted the good fish into crates, but threw the bad ones away....Until John the Baptist, the law of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides. But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is eager to get in.
The message of the Kingdom is for everyone who will receive and embrace it!
Mankind's spirit is seeking the Kingdom, but man has tried to satisfy that desire with various religions. It is like being hungry for steak and potatoes and being given a sugar donut. That donut may satisfy while you are eating it, but you will leave the table even more hungry than when you sat down. This is why the Kingdom of the Lord God should always be our top priority by virtue of its role in the original purpose of mankind's creation. As such, the Kingdom was the first form of government here on earth, and God's original intent and purpose for our being here.
And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it. For before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time. And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come.
Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!
Remember, your greatest asset is your faith in the King's Word.
