The Authority and Source of Our Being
I thank the Lord every day for my journey in Kingdom knowledge. It has been as a light being turned on. The books of Dr. Myles Munroe and Dr. E. Stanley Jones have turned those lights on and pointed me toward the truth of the message Jesus preached while here on this earth. Read the four gospels with an understanding of the Kingdom and you will see clearly what Jesus preached.
Now, to understand true authority, we need to go back to the beginning, to explore the source or origin, of human authority and the inherent purpose of that authority. Every one of us has a mission that will complement us for being here on planet earth. That mission will always be in obedience to the will of God. Before the Lord God created man, He first created his environment. The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Remember, mankind just didn't happen over a period of time; regardless of what scientists may say. Keep in mind who made the scientist! It is a very sad day when the created being gets the idea that he is greater than his Creator. Satan had the same idea, and look what was the result of his decision.
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”
Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The word authority comes from the Latin word "auctor". Acutor means "promoter, originator or author". An author is the originator or creator of something. Every individual has the right to believe whatever they choose to believe, but they all will have to give an account of what they believe to the Lord God. In this modern age of so-called enlightenment, many have chosen to ignore the Lord God's Constitution and embrace the byproduct of an evolutionary process that we are children of apes. It is my unshakable belief in God's Constitution--my faith in His Word--that the King of the universe is alive and well.
If you want to know the work of God for your life: Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” This is a twofold application, believing in the Son of the living God, and trusting in His Word; because He is the Word manifest in the flesh. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Many find it difficult to trust in His written Word. This requires faith. As you have read above, King Jesus was at the beginning of creation. In this world, you must use your faith to believe in your Creator and that comes through the Constitution--the Bible.
Remember what I always state: Your faith in His Word is your greatest asset.
