Staying Connected to Your Source Part 5

You must learn that staying connected to the source of your salvation constitutes growth, knowledge, understanding and most of all wisdom, which is the application. When you are staying connected to your source, it is your guarantee for growth. It is your guarantee for eternal life.
Many individuals who claim to know God have disconnected themselves from their source and have gone their own way. They have been caught up in the world's system; especially many leaders in the church. Some have gone Hollywood, and many of us know where that leads and what Hollywood stands for.
Constitutional Scripture: John 15:1-2 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit."
Question: Have you noticed what the King stated in the second verse?
Focus Point: If you aren't productive, He has no need for you, because you aren't connected to your source. Your source is God and the only way you can get back to Him is through Jesus the Christ His Son.
Focus Point: The only way we are to abide in Him is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and this comes through obedience to His Word.
Constitutional Scripture: Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Focus Point: You see, the Holy Spirit is the Governor and the extension of God Himself. Without His power you can't accomplish His purpose for your life.
Constitutional Scripture: John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
Question: Did you notice what He stated concerning abiding in Him?
Focus Point: The key to being productive is obeying His Word.
Constitutional Scripture: John 15:9-10 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Focus Point: So, reading, studying and obeying God's principles and laws is the Key to abiding in His love. It is just that simple.
Focus Point: Jesus made this very plain. If you obey My Words, you are no more servants but friends.
Constitutional Scripture: John 15:14-15 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Are you a servant or a friend of the Lord Jesus the Christ?
