Staying Connected to Your Source-Part 3

Once you have accepted the Holy Spirit (Governor) in your life, you have the power to overcome any influences in your life. You can dominate, rule, and subdue the earth.
Question: What do I mean by this?
Focus Point: God's perspective on our potential states that we have the power to dominate and subdue the earth. This was God's original plan.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Focus Point: The question comes to mind, what does it mean to be a dominator of the earth? It means that the earth should not rule or control us. If you are addicted to cigarettes, you are being controlled by a leaf. If you are being ruled by alcohol, you are being controlled by grain. Remember, leaves and grain are of the earth. God created you to dominate the earth, not the earth to dominate you. If we are being controlled by any habit, we are submitting to the very things God commanded us to dominate.
The apostle Paul confirms God's intent by making this statement:
Constitutional Scripture: I Corinthians 9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
Focus Point: What the apostle Paul is conveying to us is that we should always be in control of ourselves. There are things in the earth that will rule us if we allow them to take control of our physical body.
The apostle further states this principle:
Constitutional Scripture I Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Focus Point: Remember, God has given you the potential to dominate the earth. You have the power to beat whatever habit is ruling you. It is there whether you use it or not. Stay connected to your source. God is your source, Jesus is the entrance to that source. Your ability to release the full purpose for which God created you is dependent on your decision to stay connected to your source. God has given you the potential to control those things that seek to entrap and subdue you. It is up to you whether you exercise the power God built into you.
