Staying Connected to Your Source Part 4
Focus Point: We were created to multiply. God gave every human being the potential to be fruitful and to reproduce after their kind.
Here is what it states in the Constitution:
Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Focus Point: Now, while it is true that God gave us the ability to have children, the potential God is speaking of is much more than the capacity to have babies. God has given men and women the potential to reproduce what they are. We are producing the next generation.
Question: What kind of children are you producing?
Focus Point: God has given us the power to influence them either for good or for evil. In essence, we are responsible for training and teaching our children, not the government.
Questions: Will the next generation be alcoholics, addicts, illiterate or lawless individuals? Or will they be righteous and upright; seeking the Lord and obeying the Lord's commandments?
Focus Point: Remember, we have the capacity to produce children that mirror our life.
Focus Point: It is very important that we stay connected to our source.
Jesus made this profound statement:
Constitutional Scripture: John 15:1-8 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
Focus Point: With this in mind, we can plan to do and be anything. God has given us human beings the capacity to imagine and plan and believe anything into reality; just look around you. Now this is an awesome potential.
The Constitution reveals this power in the book of Genesis concerning the building of the tower of Babel:
Genesis 11:6 And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.
In essence, God stated, "If I don't interfere, man will be able to do anything he thinks about and plans".
Please note: As you may know, God did interfere. He stopped them from building the tower, but He didn't stop the people from thinking. He stopped them from understanding one another. You have the potential to think, to imagine, to plan and to put your plans into action. By staying connected to your source, anything you carry through from thought to action is within your power to accomplish.
