Ruling the Visible World From the Invisible Realm
On many occasions, I have stated that our greatest asset is our faith in the King's Word. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Your faith in His Word is the force that activates activity. Now God's simple strategy for extending and establishing His Kingdom on this planet earth was to rule the visible world of man from the invisible realm of the spirit. This plan meant that man would be God's visible representative; created specifically to live in this visible realm to represent Him.
Now, how would the Lord God accomplish this? He who is unseen, would put His Spirit into the unseen spirit of man; inhabiting a visible physical body, living on the visible earth. Through man's spirit, a window of the soul, created so that man can communicate with the invisible world of God. He also uses another window where man is able to communicate through his body to the visible world of man. (His soul, which consists of his five senses).
Man is created in such a powerful and unique way that he is exalted above all of God's creation. But one testified in a certain place, saying: “What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? Through this means, the Lord God could communicate from the unseen realm through the unseen spirit of man, to the seen realm. This is so that the visible world of man could understand His Will.
Whatever God desired, would be relayed to the unseen, then manifested in the seen: (The three dimensional world). This is where the earth would show what heaven was thinking. This is where your faith in God's Word comes in to play.
Questions to ponder:
1. Why do you think God chose to rule the visible world of man from the invisible realm of the spirit? How does this strategy help extend and establish the kingdom on earth?
2. How well do you represent God on Earth? What is your reputation among believers? Unbelievers? Does your presence make a difference wherever you go?
3. Why is it so important that man understand the Will of God? Is it possible for His Will to be understood in the government sector? Business sector? Family? Church? Community? How might this happen?
Think: Right or wrong, most unbelievers have a definite idea of what they think a "Christian" should be. If we aren't careful, we can identify too strongly with their label and fall into the trap of trying to live up to their expectations. I have stated on many occasions, we should stop trying so hard to live like "Christians" and all of the false assumptions associated with that label, instead of working harder at living an effective life as sons and daughters of the King--citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. Believe it or not, we aren't Christians. Christ never gave us that title. Men and women in the city of Antioch did and the believers of the Kingdom embraced it as their own. Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
