Reminiscing Through History
It is said that the graveyard is full of talents that had never been used. As I reminisce through my life and reflect on others who failed to discover the Lord God's purpose for their lives, I see that is so true. There are far too many people who died never knowing the Kingdom is in this world now. They died viewing God's Constitution as a religious book; never knowing that the Bible was God's Constitution for His kingdom government. Sad but true!
Truth has become relative, even among those who claim to know the King; even those who claim to be His representatives, such as pastors, missionaries, evangelists, prophets, apostles, etc. But what did King Jesus state? Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
King David made this statement: Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth. Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your commandments are my delights. The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding, and I shall live. It all comes down to one thing: His Word. So many great men have passed away, but I only know a few who embraced God's concept of the Kingdom. That is the message that will change your life. He is the door of that Kingdom.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Jesus tells us to be persistent in pursuing the Kingdom. People often give up after a few half-hearted attempts and conclude that the Kingdom cannot be found. But to know King Jesus takes times, focus, and most of all, faith in His Word. Now allow me to give you Webster's New World Dictionary definition of the word seek. Seek is: to track down, trace, to search out. 2. to try to get or find by asking or searching. This is what the Lord Jesus meant when He stated this to His disciples. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Don't give up in seeking the Lord God's Kingdom. Start with yourself first. Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Down through the history of the church as we know it, after the death of the earlier apostles, they started delivering the wrong message. They even gave us a name, that we were not. Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. If you read closely, Barnabas and Saul didn't call themselves Christians. The people at Antioch did. From that point believers stated calling themselves Christians. They embraced that tag given to them by people.
If people name you, they will define you. And they defined them as a religion, not a Kingdom government.
The message that was delivered to this earth was "Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand"
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
Jesus came to restore a government that we had lost in the Garden of Eden, not a religion.
