The one key element that is needed to spread the gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus preached while He was here on this earth is YOU. When you are obedient and consistent, working what you "have in your hand", God will use you to do more than you can ever imagine. Trust me, He will use you in ways you could never have planned, if you will let Him. Don't wait until you have the money to "start a ministry" or a building or a following. God will use you today, if you will listen and obey... AND be consistent. Ministry isn't a one-shot deal. It isn't haphazard. It is doing a little thing consistently!
I am humbled and in awe of the way God is using us--as we sit at our desks in our little home--to spread His Gospel around the world. We are thrilled when someone new embraces the Kingdom message that Jesus preached! But God has used us to reach not only pastors, but also bishops, evangelists, apostles and people of all levels of education and lifestyles around the world. People from six continents have contacted us! When these people around the world learn and embrace the Kingdom of God, His message will be spread exponentially, because of their power and influence, around the world. The Gospel of the Kingdom is like yeast...hidden but growing and changing its environment. As I said, God will use you to do incredible things, if you are a willing vessel!
Remember this, God will use you to do amazing things for the Kingdom of God, but that doesn't mean you will be famous, rich or loved. Study the life and brief ministry of John the Baptist. He prepared the way for Jesus' ministry, preached that the "Kingdom of Heaven is at hand", he was "the voice crying in the wilderness" and yet he was reclusive and didn't socialize. He wasn't popular or rich and yet he drew multitudes. God used him mightily. He wasn't wealthy and died while in prison, as Herod gave Salome his head, as she requested. Yet Jesus described John this way: Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist.
So, I ask you:
What can you do today to spread Jesus' gospel of the Kingdom of God?
What do you have "in your hands" that God will use, if you are willing and obedient?
Are you willing to go out into your community and be yeast? Yeast isn't noticed at first, but it works silently to expand and change its environment. You never know it's there, but you notice the change!
Will you surrender your will and desires in exchange for being greatly used by God?
If we ever become wealthy or famous in this world, it will be to better fulfill God's purpose in our lives. God's wealth comes with no sorrow. The same cannot be said of the world's wealth. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
Never chase the world's wealth and fame, or anything else the world has to offer. Instead, chose right priorities and be obedient to the Will of God in your life. Seek the Kingdom, not the world! We all have an assignment to spread this Gospel of the Kingdom of God. This world needs to see the Kingdom in action. Go out into your world and spread the Kingdom wherever you go!
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
