In Ephesians 2, we learn who is the prince of the power of the air (firmament): And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
We should not be surprised to see chaos in our world--rioting, fighting, wars, strife and pain. This world is Satan's territory. But as a citizen of the Kingdom of God, you have the Holy Spirit within you and, as such, chaos cannot 'cross your threshold' and enter your 'house'. There may be chaos all around you, but never within you.
God is the God of peace. Where He reigns supreme, there is no chaos. If there is an area of your life that throws you into chaos, you have not yet given Him control in that area. Invite Him into that area of your life. You are holding on to something and don't want to give up control. Is it your marriage? Your children? Your job? An ungodly relationship? Your finances? Delve into God's Word and seek out scriptures that speak to your circumstance. Pray and submit your whole self to the Father. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. ~~James 4:7-8a
Our King is the God of peace. He is our peace, in the midst of chaos. As long as we are on this earth, there will be chaos and strife, but in the Kingdom of God there is no chaos. Chaos may surround us, but should never be within us.
Write these words on your heart:
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ~~Philippians 4:6-7
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. ~~Philippians 4:11-13
For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. ~~Romans 16:19-20
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ~~John 14:26-27
Be blessed,
