The spirit realm is ordered like the natural realm There is a time and season for everything.
During the summer months, we "tread water". Some rest after a hard school year, workers take vacations. It is generally a slower, less disciplined pace. For many, it is a time to enjoy family, friends and to recharge their batteries. Students have graduated or been promoted; but they have not yet stepped into that promotion. The season of summer is not a time of forward movement.
In September, we will move into autumn--a time for cooler weather and a traditional time of harvesting. But it is also a time of new beginnings. Students go back to school, but they do not return to the same classes they attended back in June. For the majority of students, there will be new classes, new teachers, new classmates and in many cases, new schools. They will not be learning the same things they learned last year. There are new things to be learned, greater things to accomplish! There is a greater confidence and sense of accomplishment in the student because of all they have learned previously. Students who have graduated are entering the work force and stepping into a position that will reward them for all they have learned. A position where they will put their years of hard preparation into use.
So it is in the spirit realm. Many of us "graduated" to a new level months ago, but have felt no forward movement. We have been "treading water"--spinning our wheels and wondering WHEN we will ever begin to use what God has taught us. When will we step into our purpose? When will we see some advancement...some forward movement? We are entering a new season, a time of accelerated advancement AND harvest. Life goes in cycles and this is a season of advancement. When you step on an escalator, you step in time with the advancement of the step so your foot won't be half on/half off the step. So it is with this season. It is moving. Fine tune your sensitivity to the moving of the Holy Spirit. Watch for the step as it comes up, step carefully but confidently. Don't just watch it go by and be afraid to step up. Let's not miss our season of advancement!
If you feel, as we do, that you have graduated and been standing still, wondering why nothing has happened, watch carefully now! Once you see it and step up, you will see God advance you quickly and smoothly!
~~Be blessed! Arlene
