Today is my husband's birthday, so I am taking a moment to honor him. God has blessed me with an awesome man of God. I have never known a man more submitted to God and His Word--His constitution--and the Holy Spirit. When he feels convicted by the Holy Spirit about something, he is more than willing to change. He is always changing and growing. Yes, he is submitted to God and committed to me and no woman could ask for more than that. God can surely use a man like that!
"Becoming one" doesn't happen in a moment. It is an ongoing process. But one day you realize that you are finishing each others sentences... that one has a thought and the other verbalizes it. You move in unison. You are truly a team. In a good marriage, home is your haven--your safe place. It's where you go to rest. It is just the two of you against the world, and that is enough. When you know the other has your back, you will charge hell with a water pistol!
We are in covenant. He is my protector, my lover and my very best friend. When we said "I do" all hell broke loose because Satan saw the power that is in our union.... a man and woman of God joined together in agreement. There is power in agreement... and more power in covenant. Hell shook. We are still standing.. unshaken! I am so excited to see what God has for us to do together. Our very best days are ahead. Life isn't over, we are just getting to the main course... I think it's lobster.... and maybe some sushi ;~)
